Hi Tort

I wanted to give you another positive story. I met my DH through dating direct.com in 2004. We've just had our first baby.

I used it as a way to meet men because the only men I met post divorce were through work and usually married and wanting sex!!! I didn't go clubbing etx so had no idea where to meet men. I didn't have children so that must make it harder.

My advice is to not spend too long communicating via email or IM etc becasue it makes you feel like you know the person really well and then you're quite awkward when you meet. Get an idea of whether they sound alright and meet for coffee in the day (if possible). It's a short meeting and totally non threatening.

Don't worry about the name you use - as long as it's not a totally crap one it is irrelevant. pmsl @ workinggirl. WHY????

In your profile just keep it short and honest (but don't put yourself down as we women tend to do). Men will contact you on your photo alone and ,of course, you can contact the men you like.

i tend to look at 31 to 45

but people who have loked at me have been from 19 up

the two ive met are both 31 saw one about 4 times and i am seeing the other still

im writing to aguy who is 35
and have been vchatting for about 5 months to one who is 34

and i chat top another sometimes who is 31

i am 50
