CMS fraud investigation team

Can anyone please advise.
My ex is currently being investigated by the Financial Investigation team of the CMS.
He is continuing to claim he earns £5 per hour meaning I receive a tiny amount . Unfortunately the company he works is providing the info to HMRC. He is 'on the books' sometimes & cash in hand others. It's a small family run business. The CMS are willing to investigate as I think they have identified discrepancies in my case.
I'm happy they are investigating but I'm not hopeful of a positive outcome.
Has anyone had a positive outcome following an investigation? Or do you know what they actually do? I do know that they work along side the HMRC but unsure what other things they can do.
I really hope someone can help me. I'm actually at my wits end.

Great news Flowers

That really is fantastic news. It's horrifying how many men get away with this.

That's brilliant news! Congratulations!

So the CMS frustration continues. Not heard anymore from the FIU since my last call in May. The CMS had the cheek to call me today to see if I would agree for a direct debit to be set up again since my ex moved jobs and ignored them for months. It's on the verge of enforcement again! If I agree to the direct debit and he misses payments we start the whole process again 🙄 why would I do that?!

I'm so fed up of this whole system 😥

Hi, just jumping on this post I have dealt with FIU and from my experience they were really good and I didn’t have that much evidence to give them so I would say keep at it !

Can anyone on the thread who’s had success with FIU Tell me if they’ve had experience of CMS actually recovering arrears after a successful investigation ? FIU investigated and found a lot of diverted income leaving a huge amount of arrears. Issue I have now is the actual CMS doing nothing to recover them. As token payments keep being made by exes ‘employer’ enforcement stops and We go back to the start . don’t know what else I can do.

Great that he has been caught! As you say it's not just the money it's the principle.
My ex is concealing a lot of income and has been under investigation for over 2 years now.
He's just bought a new expensive car and takes the kids out for meals in nice restaurants. He claimed he was unemployed for a while but the DWP made contact with the CMS to say he wasn't (can't get to the bottom of what happened there but he probably was signing on while working and got caught).
He was late for planned contact with the children recently as he had an appointment he couldn't move or rearrange. I'd like to think it's because the FIU were interviewing him.
