It is with the man that I met briefly while out back in December, and got into trouble with ex H for receiving a text from him.

I recently text him to give him my new mobile number, and tonight he has asked if I want to meet him for a drink on Sunday night!

Ex H is meant to be having the boys on Sunday, so there is no reason why I can't go, but it feels a bit strange.
Also, I had had a few drinks back in December when I spoke to him, and I can't for the life of me remember what he looks like!!

I have his mobile number, CC, and he has mine, so that is a good idea!

Good I am going out with my mate tonight. I am envious, there will be no flicker of love of lust with me tonight! Hope hes lovely

Pinkchampagne · 12/08/2007 09:50

Don't know that there will be any of that here either, CC!

Have a great night out tonight - you never know who you may meet!

True...though I very much doubt it!

Pinkchampagne · 12/08/2007 09:59

You never know...stay clear of window cleaners though!

Yes;) Im trying to forget, my idea of a nice night, is lingering near the shoip waiting for the gardener to stroll up with his dog.
Shame hes lingering waiting for his married woman........lol

Can you arrange for your friend to call you at a certain time with a pre-arranged code? E.g. she calls and you say "Oh sorry, can't talk because I'm out and having a lovely time", she knows all is well. Or you say "Oh hi, can I call you back tomorrow?" and she knows that there is a problem.

You can have arranged what to do in that case - she turns up with a load of mates and commandeers you from your date, perhaps.

tribpot · 12/08/2007 10:07

Yes, always a good idea to have someone phone in to check all is well. A friend of mine was on a date with someone she met through a dating website and half way through the evening I got a text: "no kittens here, damn". Having left work before she sent the email explaining use of the word 'kittens' in a text meant all was well, I was completely baffled.

Pinkchampagne · 12/08/2007 10:09

That is a very good idea

I'm home now! He was quite nice looking, seemed intelligent & quite a gentleman, train driver for the tunnel, and had the hugest hands I've ever seen!

He was a nice bloke, but I don't know if I am ready to get into anything yet.
He was asking if he could take me to the cinema sometime

I am glad I went though. I was really worried, but it was a nice evening, and he was very easy to talk to.
