It is with the man that I met briefly while out back in December, and got into trouble with ex H for receiving a text from him.

I recently text him to give him my new mobile number, and tonight he has asked if I want to meet him for a drink on Sunday night!

Ex H is meant to be having the boys on Sunday, so there is no reason why I can't go, but it feels a bit strange.
Also, I had had a few drinks back in December when I spoke to him, and I can't for the life of me remember what he looks like!!

sounds good if only even for ocasinal company PC

Occasional even

IME, fireworks are quite rare on a first date though, so the lack of fireworks isn't too much of a bad sign!
I may go out with him again sometime.

I feel absolutely no guilt either! I know I shouldn't do, as I haven't done anything wrong, but there was a part of me that felt I may feel bad about going out last night...but I didn't at all!

Yeah, I need legs wobbling, or flutter, or manic grinning....or I wouldnt bother again other than time filling...

Pinkchampagne · 13/08/2007 13:09

Thing is, it was the first time I had met him properly, so it was more just the getting to know each other - and because it is the first time I have been out with a man other than ex H for over 11 years, I was very nervous and it took a little while for me to feel relaxed.

thinking back to my younger days, I very rarely got instant leg wobbly type feelings until I got to know them a little better.

He was a nice enough chap though, and I may see him again, it is just all a bit strange for me atm.

He was married for 10 years, and separated from his wife 18 months ago.

Arranged another yet?

Pinkchampagne · 14/08/2007 15:54

No not yet!

Turns out a friend of a friend knows him quite well (used to work with him), and says he is a really lovely genuine bloke, and she thinks I should definitely give him a chance.

Pinkchampagne · 14/08/2007 16:13

yes, very laid back indeed!
Won't hurt to go out again I guess, and there would be less nerves a second time.

He text me as soon as he got in on Sunday night to thank me for a nice evening, which was sweet of him considering he insisted on buying all my drinks & the food! (I had thanked him for that btw, but still...)

He has just text me again, saying he didn't know if I have tried to contact him at all, but he crushed his car in the phone door & has had to get a new one!
He says he looks forward to hearing from me.

I have lived in England for nearly twenty years, . I was never homesick/homesick but what worked for me was keeping one credit card with a zero balance and a huge limit so I could just go if I needed to.

Family crisis, stick it on the card.

Beacuse I feel the need to, stick it on the card.

Because I knew I could the feelings dissapated.
