So, anyone got any exciting dates lined up?

I am waiting to hear from someone I like (& he clearly likes me too). It's driving me nuts.

So tell me about your upcoming dates / new lovers to distract me!

Snaf, Nutcracker & snowonder - have you tried online dating? Not everyone's cuppa, but can be fun (if only looking at the profiles of people you wouldn't touch with a shitty stick )

Had a great night out. Wasn't anything high brow last night, I must confess. We saw Avenue Q which was really funny. I haven't laughed so much in ages. Then we had a late dinner and a few drinks. Got home far too late for a work night but it was worth it!

I agree that internet dating can be easier if you haven't dated in a while. It at least gets you out there especially if you don't get out much or have the opportunity to meet people in the first place.

Snaf · 27/07/2007 18:04

Septimus - yes, have tried t'internet - hence giving up completely now

Actually, I think internet dating is ^great if you choose your site carefully and I've not had any problems with weirdos - just commitmentphobes, and you can meet them anywhere!

jellyjelly · 27/07/2007 18:07

Eliza - Are you seeing her again? When? If not why not?

BeautyQueenMomma · 27/07/2007 18:43

Seriously it's a numbers game - yet the first t'internet date I had - hey presto! It's love - one and a half years on.

LittleSarah · 27/07/2007 18:50

No dates here. Like snaf I can't seem to get that interested in anything (have I closed myself off I wonder, well, actually I try not to wonder). I do meet guys and get some interest but can't really return it.

Wouldn't mind a man at the moment actually. Usually I am happy single but both my sisters recently announced they have boyfriends which rather triggered my 'why don't I ever fancy anyone?' worries.

Grrrr.

Good luck all ye with better luck!!

LittleSarah · 27/07/2007 18:50

In anyone not anything!

Elizaveta · 27/07/2007 19:10

We are going to meet up again next week for lunch on Monday. I have my dd this weekend so it's first chance but it's all going really well so far. She's attentive, smart, gorgeous and seems to like me lots, too! I feel all giddy when she texts - it's quite pathetic really, I know.

jellyjelly · 27/07/2007 20:03

embrace it, its nice and keeps us going. I miss talking with my bloke, he is away but we used to speak all night and its wierd that i havent for the last 3 night and wont for another 10 days or so.

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 28/07/2007 00:26

Ooh was just heading to bed when I saw this, I'm dating, met a lovely guy six weeks ago, weather permitting we are going to the beach with a hamper, my friend is taking my son for the night so I'm really excited!

MhamaiJane · 28/07/2007 00:32

Tomorrow that is.

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 28/07/2007 00:37

Yay! Sounds good, will you report back MhamaiJane?

Elizaveta · 28/07/2007 09:04

MhamaiJane that sounds so nice! I hope the weather is nice where you are. You have to report back!

We spent about 3 hours talking last night which was lovely. It's so good to feel that connection with someone again.

mojosmum · 28/07/2007 09:30

question for everyone:

would you mean a man you have met on the internet?

mojosmum · 28/07/2007 09:45

ment to say would you meet not mean a man

lou33 · 28/07/2007 20:08

BeautyQueenMomma · 28/07/2007 20:34

Internet dating is deffo worth a go - but like everything you may have to kiss a lot of frogs, a lot of frogs....

mojosmum · 28/07/2007 21:14

thanks for the help

jellyjelly · 29/07/2007 08:56

I met one guy a very long time ago on line but it was very clear what he wanted.

didnt see him again.

I am just about to meet another one whom i have been talking too for ages. He does seem to good to be true at the moment but time will tell.

Girly · 29/07/2007 12:35

I had a date last night, with a long term friend, it went well to start with, but then downhill as he stayed overnight for the first time.

I realised there is absolutley no point in seeing him and that I actually did not want him anymore, it was quite a liberating feeling as we have been dancing round one another for months now.

So no more dates on the horizon for me, I get mostly unwanted attention from younger men. So I am going to try celibacy for a few weeks

lou33 · 29/07/2007 13:52

lol girly

Girly · 29/07/2007 14:04

Just as well I have a sense of humour about these things, think it was the sound of his snoring that put me off

So how was your date the other night lou?

lou33 · 29/07/2007 17:11

which one?

lol @ snoring

Girly · 29/07/2007 21:07

ooohhh get you which one indeed. did you have one on friday night?
