You did brilliantly, showed that little madam who she was dealing with! DD must be very pleased she has a mum like you, right now I think you're probably her hero, Super Mum!

Well done Aimsmum, sounds like you're well on the way to sorting this out.

I guess your x just has to prioritise whether his cosy billet and regular f*k is worth destroying his relationship with his daughter for. And it does sound like he's realising that that could happen and he doesn't want it to. It also sounds like he might require the wicked stepmother to be a little more adult from now on and she may well realise for herself that she's just not ready to take on that level of commitment. Being a stepmother is a bloody tough, responsible job, and if this situation has brought her face to face with that, she may decide that at 21, she really doesn't need (or want by the sounds of it) to do it. He may find he doesn't have much of a choice about moving out...

bullies need facing up. well done.

helenhismadwife · 06/12/2006 20:22

well done AM you were brilliant to keep your cool, I hope your xp is as good as his word and makes your dd his priority like you are going

titchy · 05/01/2007 15:11

Aimsmum

you really do sound like a thoroughly nice person.

if i were you i'd probably be crowing that your exp had split with the nasty g/f

hope things continue to improve for your dd and her dad and you too.

Mumpbump · 10/01/2007 16:04

Oh well, let's hope that the split is permanent and that he gets a decent woman in his life next time round! Hope your daughter is feeling happier, even if your exp is not...

have been following this thread and i am soooooooooooo glad that the silly immature bitch is finally out of the picture. What sort of woman competes with a 6 year old? Good luck to you and your DD and i hope your ExP sorts himself out too!

TT

Caligula · 10/01/2007 16:08

What great news.

Hopefully he'll meet a grown-up next time.

feetheart · 10/01/2007 16:15

I lurked earlier on during the thread as I didn't have the time to write what I wanted to say (was bfing DS at the time who wanted to 'help' whenever I typed anything!!)
Was wondering about you both just this morning so glad to see your post.

I think you have handled the whole thing fantastically well, what a cracking role-model for your DD on how to handle conflict. Also sounds like she has gained confidence from being encouraged to speak up (however painful that was for both of you) and being listened to - telling her Dad she wouldn't stay with him if G was there took some doing.

Hope it continues to go well, you both deserve it.

feetheart · 10/01/2007 16:17

Think DD deserves her 'victory lap'

Ainsmum you have done so well. I would have totally lost it and killed the bitch (formally known as G).
