Get off here and get busy then elasta!

Hope it goes well :)

elastamum · 27/11/2010 18:36

Am cleaning! House will be superficially beautiful by bed time and so will I! Grin

lou33 · 27/11/2010 19:35

thank you, no snow here yet though!

He opened his presents from us about 8.15, mainly because dp was too excited to wait any longer than the agreed 8.30 lol, but ds was v pleased with them. He got an xbox game he wanted, some clothes, a head torch (from dp) and a stunt kite (from dp)

he was also sent some euros by an ex sil, and a tennerHmm in a card from his dad, and a fiver from my aunt

we then went to our local town to look about as there was a xmas fair on, but it was a bit dull so we went to woking where dp sold his unwanted ps3, and then handed over £40 of it to ds as another present, his face was a picture

so he bought another game he had been after plus a book to go with it, and saved the rest of the money til he knows what he wants

we then went to frankie and bennys to eat (his choice) then came home and had cake

he said he has had a great day, and actually it was , for all of us Grin

now i just have to face xmas and dd2's birthday

i felt totally pissed on 2 vodkas at the restaurant, shows what a lightweight i am, so dp drove us back

i am more sober now though i promise, better have a beer then i guess!

the exh called ds for all of about a minute and promised to call him this evening, but he hasnt so far even tho i sent him a text to say we were back

ds isnt bothered though he has had a lovely day

a few pics on fb now

Janos · 28/11/2010 15:35

Afternoon all,

lou - glad DS1 had a fab birthday, it sounds absolutely brilliant and love the fb pics. Fantastic cake!

I see his 'Dad' has excelled himself again but I guess it can't come as any surprise and thank goodness it didn't ruin his day.

LOL @ the lightweight comment. I had a fantastic night on Friday with FLF who is also lovely (hey mrs thanks for the compliment :), will stick that cheque in the post tomorrow) but suffered for it a great deal the next day I am sorry to say. DS was not impressed and sternly told me 'no more wine ever for you mummy, that was very silly' Blush.

He had a party today which was cancelled because of the snow :( but have been out building snowmen and having snowball fights so DS not too fussed.

Janos · 28/11/2010 15:36

Oh and elasta hope you enjoy(ed) your lunch!

elastamum · 28/11/2010 19:59

Hi All, Lunch was lovely! Cooked a lamb stew, we went for a walk in the forest with the dogs, came back to a really nice meal, which he seemed to like as he ate masses of it. Then had a cuddle on the sofa in front of the fire, before I had to throw him out before the kids came home Blush

Quite romantic really, and I was very proud of my quite uncharacteristic self control. He will have to come back as he has left his walking boots behind Grin

Janos · 28/11/2010 20:14

Sounds lovely elasta...something a bit special about cuddling up in front tof the fire. I presume you do mean cuddling and not 'cuddling' btw Grin

lilac21 · 28/11/2010 20:15

Sounds fab, Elasta, glad you had a good time. When are you seeing him again?

I've had a man-free weekend peppered with text exchanges with cyclist and H&S guy, have dates with both this week Grin

Janos · 28/11/2010 20:43

:) for dates lilac!

Right, confession time. Have done something rather foolish. Slept with my exbf last night, in a moment of weakness. Not a good idea!

Remotew · 28/11/2010 20:51

Janos, you know the saying 'It aint over till its over' don't beat yourself up about it, we all have weak moments.

Elasta, sounds good, Lilac hope the dates go well.

I losely agreed to arrange to meet someone who seemed interesting on profile but when I look close I can see that he just isn't my time so I will try and find out more but need to go with my instincts and find that I'm busy, which being December I will be.

Remotew · 28/11/2010 21:00

Wonder where Flame is and if she managed to get to the mumsnet christmas do.

Janos · 28/11/2010 21:00

Thanks eve, you're right I know. Are you snowed in down there? We've had quite heavy snowfall with more predicted.

Anyhoo he did buy wellies for DS and bought food in and went to get breakfast this morning. It was all veh nice and cosy and then he left and I went like this Confused.

I've had that situ before, nice at first glance but then you think naaaah.

lou33 · 28/11/2010 21:12

Ffs my washing machine died. I could cry. What next is coming along to financially cripple me i wonder?

Janos · 28/11/2010 21:16

Oh no lou :( that's the last thing you need.

If you can find a way of transporting it I have a spare sitting in my garage but dunno if that's any use to you?

elastamum · 28/11/2010 21:32

Oh Lou, not really what you need just before Xmas Sad

Janos, I was very restrained and kept all my clothes on! Maybe next time...Grin

(wanders off to lust after radiomans very fit body whilst doing the ironing....)

Remotew · 28/11/2010 21:43

We had some yesterday but not much, then a very heavy snowfall this evening and it's just started again. DD is watching with interest and hoping to get the day off tomorrow. I'm off anyway.

lou33 · 28/11/2010 21:50

Dp says its the brushes and they are about 15 quid, so thats good and he can fit them which is even better.

I was v stressed about it earlier tho. Him and the kids found me sitting on the kitchen floor watching the non moving washer in tears.

Ds cost me enough for his birthday, and there is Xmas coming plus dd2 turning 14. And i have no money to spare to get them anything. So the thought of more expense was too much for me.

elastamum · 28/11/2010 21:55

Oh Lou, hope you get it fixed. sounds like DP is coming up trumps again Smile

Janos · 28/11/2010 21:59

I'd be bloody well crying (bawling more like) if my washing machine broken down as well. It's the cost and the inconvenience isn't it.

Flame · 28/11/2010 22:01

ello. happy belated birthday ds1!

Yay for good lunch and cuddles. and "forgetting" boots.

Woohoo for dates lilac.

Meh Janos... these things happen apparently. never to me but still...

Great weekend. Car issues so my plans changed but spent Saturday daytime on champagne and cocktails with four Mners (the amazing husband of one left us flowers, chocolate, champagne and tiaras as apparently mums should get a day of being treated as royalty). Xmas do was good... fondled Mamazon, flashed serenity, stole some gloves and groped a Frenchman. Now absolutely exhausted and about to pass out!
