That really.

Dds would like to go.

I'd like to know if it's worth spending the money. It is always a bit of a hit and miss...

Depends who is acting in it I think...

DuckOffAutocorrectYouShiv · 03/01/2018 19:49

We (me, DH & teen DD) saw it in New York. It is fantastic. Funny, sweet and great songs. We all loved it and would watch it again and again.

babyinthacorner · 03/01/2018 19:49

I love it! One of my favourite musicals.

SquigglePigs · 03/01/2018 19:50

I saw it in London a few years ago and loved it.

Hmmalittlefishy · 03/01/2018 19:50

I loved it
It's touring this year too so if you wanted to see it without London prices maybe catch the tour and see something else in London?

Helpmeltb · 03/01/2018 19:50

Yes! I'm not a big fan of musicals but Wicked is fantastic - I've seen it a few times now.

CallMeOnMyCell · 03/01/2018 19:50

I enjoyed it but found it far too long. How old are your DDs? If they are teens then I think they'll love it.

TrollTheRespawnJeremy · 03/01/2018 19:50

It's a good one. The soundtrack is fab.

Letsgetreadytorumbleagain · 03/01/2018 19:50

I've seen it 3 times and love it!

shhhfastasleep · 03/01/2018 20:03

Great to hear- going to see it in Manchester.

Gizlotsmum · 03/01/2018 20:05

Loved it as did DD who was 8 at the time

ToEarlyForDecorations · 03/01/2018 20:06

Going to see it in Liverpool, making a weekend of it.

60sname · 03/01/2018 20:07

I wasn't keen (and I do generally enjoy musicals)

WinchestersInATardis · 03/01/2018 20:09

I love musicals but I really didn't like Wicked. Costumes were gorgeous but the songs were pretty much the characters singing the lines instead of saying them. Kind of dull.
See I'm in the minority in the thread though!

StylishMummy · 03/01/2018 20:10

Absolutely outstanding, especially if you appreciate a rousing musical number, 'gravity' always brings out the hairs on my neck. Go for it!

Mangosmoothie · 03/01/2018 20:11

We (me and DDs 14 and 11) went to see it in London last week. Story a bit difficult to follow. Staging and lighting fantastic and good songs. I would say we all enjoyed it but not blown away by it.

LoveProsecco · 03/01/2018 20:17

Loved it in London

Mumthedogsbeensick · 03/01/2018 20:17

My DS and 19 other 13 year old boys went to see it whilst on a school trip to London back in the summer. I was a bit worried it wouldn't be their cup of tea but they loved it and treat the teachers to a rousing encore of 'Defying Gravity' several times on the journey back to Hull!

awishes · 03/01/2018 20:19

Yes saw it last week, even reluctant teen DS enjoyed it!

CheeseAtFourpence · 03/01/2018 20:20

Loved it - seen it 3 times and booked to go again. My 5 year old loved it. I was worried it would be too long but she was enthralled.

Floralnomad · 03/01/2018 20:21

I saw it in London with dd a few years back and I loathe it , would happily have left at the interval but dd was still interested at that point .

MortalEnemy · 03/01/2018 20:24

It has two decent songs, ‘Popular’ and the belter ‘Defying Gravity’, but it’s entirely blah otherwise imo — vapid plot, befuddled, vague characterisation, unmemorable stage design etc.

Susiesue61 · 03/01/2018 20:24

I loved it and so did DD who was about 14 at the time. Ds2 didn't mind it, DH and Ds1 hated it!

ElphabaTheGreen · 03/01/2018 20:24

Nah, it's shit.

IsAnyoneElseMissingCheese · 03/01/2018 20:26

We went as a big family group and it was only FIL who wasn't keen. Everyone else loved it!
