Fabo - saves you having to trek over to Colchester Twinkle

Purpleflower - which side is best for me to meet you on IYKWIM?? Shall I come in one the 11:20 or the 12:20 train??

PMSL Twinkie - shall I bring my own supply of towels just incase??????

I think you're safe - I think Little Man is settling himself in for the long haul rolls eyes but IF I went into labour I'm sure your towels would be safe as my water didn't go with DD til she was almost born

No allergies here & as a PG woman I will eat anything that is put in front of me PMSL!

What can I bring??

Xx

Saz126 · 15/07/2008 12:45

I can pick up some pizzas and/or salad tomorrow from M&S if needed Twinkie. Let me know. xx

Twinkie1 · 15/07/2008 15:26

That would be great Saz a couple of Pizzas would go down a treat - if I get a couple as well we should be ok.

Do your kids all eat normal food?

DS is a PITA so I will ahve to do a sandwich for him - maybe I should do a little seperate picnic for the DCs?

MrsMagooo · 15/07/2008 19:14

I've been baking & have made some Double choc muffins & some cakes so shall bring them with me

Would you like me to bring anything savory??

Xx

Mung · 15/07/2008 20:38

Sounds like I am missing out...

Have just realised that the thing I am going to in Chelsmford starts at 2...any chance I could come along beforehand?

What time is everyone coming over?

Sawyer64 · 15/07/2008 21:05

Can I come over after lunch?

I am on Study day in the morning until 12,and as my mum is coming all the way over from Ongar to have the DC's,can't/won't boot her out at lunchtime.

So maybe 1.30pm-2.00pm?

Would love to see you all, sounds like quite a few will be coming.

Can I bring some dessert?

Bribery and Corruption works every time.....

Saz126 · 15/07/2008 21:16

Oooh Mrs Magoo...double chocolate muffins!!
I'll get a couple of pizzas then, good excuse to go to M&S and buy a yummy lunch for tomorrow too. DS eats everything pretty much, can bring along a sandwich for him anyway.

JentlyDoesIt · 15/07/2008 21:26

Ok, trains are most unhelpful! I think I will get the 12.33 which arrives in Kelvedon at 12.44, meaning I should be with you for around 1pm...

Twinkle could you email me your full address and postcode so I can get a route from the station? If I don't have eejit proof instructions I will probably emd up somewhere near Witham email address is [email protected]

DS eats most things but I shall probably give him a sandwich on the journey over. What can I bring for us?

purpleflower · 15/07/2008 21:31

Any time is good for me, I can even do mornings now. DS has decided that he gets up at 6am now instead of 10.30

Just let me know when is best and what to bring.

Either side of the station is good for me MrsMagooo, I think the main entrance will rpobably be best if thats ok with you? Will you have a pushchair with you?

lucyfer2000 · 15/07/2008 22:14

OOh my goodness!! I didn't realise that this was turning into a full blow picnic party!! How fabulous - you are most hospitable Twinks!!

Hope the weather stays good - although Adventure Land would still be good.

My DD has a settling in morning at her new school on Thursday morning - bless her cottons... it finishes at 12.00 so we should easily be at your house by 13.00

Hopefully DD will manage to unglue herself from my leg at some point in the afternoon !! Extra day off a week seems to have made her more clingy than ever, i guess i am just going to have ride with it for a while.

I may attempt to make some cheese scones/biscuits for the picnic, never done it before - so if i don't bring any you know why!! Kids seem to make lovely ones when they spend the day with Granny - so they can't be too hard?...
xx

MrsMagooo · 15/07/2008 22:24

Purpleflower - main entrance fine hun, I'm going to be brave (or barmy) & leave the pram at home & just pop DD on the reins (may live to regret that lol).

Just let me know what time train to get

Xx

Twinkie1 · 16/07/2008 18:31

Yes mung please cone early - have made a coffee cake for you and will break out the caftierre!

Please don't bring anymore cakes - have been beavering away today and have enough cakes for half the world - although chocolate muffins - yummy!

See you all tomorrow - will be in all day so it doesn't matter what time anyone turns up.

Man apparently painting outside of windows tomorrow if weather ok so we shouldn't have to go to adventure land - althoughg not sure how my house would cope with so many mumsnetters!

Twinkie1 · 16/07/2008 18:41

Saz - DH apologises for not saying hello on the train, apparently he sat opposite you on the way home tonight - he came home and spent 30 minutes trying to place you and said he remembers someone saying to him that they saw him picking DS up one day and didn't say hello in case he though they was mad - I reminded him it was you!!

He has a memory like a sieve!

MrsMagooo · 16/07/2008 19:01

Twink shall I leave bringing the cakes/muffins then?? It doesn't matter as DH can take them into work

Can I bring something else??

Purpleflower - what time did you want me to get to the station for hun??

Xx

purpleflower · 16/07/2008 19:06

Whatever is easiest for you, I'm flexible. I'll tidy my car up tonight so that it is fit for another human to get in

MrsMagooo · 16/07/2008 19:25

PMSL - trust me it can be no worse then my teenage brothers car!!

I can get there any time hun I honestly don't mind, can get into North station at 20 past the hour so just say what suits you - what time is everyone aiming to get to Twinks for??

You can't miss us btw I look ready to pop (as everyone keeps kindly telling me ) & DD will have on a little cow print backpack/harness

Xx

purpleflower · 16/07/2008 19:39

Well DP did use the car for work for a week so I don't think it will be far from your teenage brothers car

What about the train that gets in at 12.20 then hopefully DS will sleep a little bit in the car. I have a dark red vectra and a 30week bump, I don't think you will be able to miss us either!

Twinkie, is the house name St Andrews? Is it easy to find? I really hope I won't get lost, especially with someone else in the car

MrsMagooo · 16/07/2008 19:58

Perfect - gives me plenty of time to get dressed etc then (have found I can longer reach or see my feet PMSL!!)

Bless your heart didn't realise you were so far along - we'll look like Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum

Ok hun I shall meet you outside the main entrance just after 12:20ish - thanks again for giving us a lift very much appreciated!!

Xx

purpleflower · 16/07/2008 20:08

I'll aim to get there for about 12.15 and hopefully I will be able to get in to one of the spots near the entrance. If DS is asleep I will wait by the car and wave like mad when I see a pregnant woman. If he is awake we will come right up to the entrance.

Do you remember these?

Mung · 16/07/2008 20:10

Twinkie...I have arranged to go for lunch in Chelmsford now, as it looked like everyone was coming later than I could do. So, I will have to give it a miss...sorry to be a pain. I would have popped along even earlier, but I need to make lunch to take with me.

Saz126 · 16/07/2008 20:14

I did the same Twinkie, couldn't place your DH. I fell asleep and woke up thinking I had missed stop so faffed around trying to get bags together then realised hadn't even got to Witham. I then saw your DH, but couldn't think where I knew him from, sat there for a bit, um um who is that? Then remembered and went to say hello but he was off so quick and I was stumbling in stupid shoos. ha.

Not sure what time we'll get there tomorrow. Maybe 12ish, see how the little man is. Have got two pizzas.
See you all tomorrow.xx

Saz126 · 16/07/2008 20:16

Weebles Purpleflower?! Are they still around? Used to love em. I had a swing and everything.

purpleflower · 16/07/2008 20:21

Not sure if they are still around, I had a full set, I think probably inherited from my brothers. I was thinking about two round pregnant women and remembered them

Saz126 · 16/07/2008 20:26

This is the set I had...

this one

I'm sure you two don't look like weebles at all!!

MrsMagooo · 16/07/2008 20:37

LOL - loving the weebles - suits me well without a doubt

Ok fab I shall look for a heavily PG woman waving like mad if I don't see you by the entrance

I must apologise for DD's nose - looks like she has a booger under her nose but is in fact a graze from when she launched herself down the slide head first

Twinkie - I shall bring some home made pasta dishes with me to compliment the pizza & salad - I'll do one veggie one non veggie to cover bases
