Where abouts are you Twink in relation to train stations?? Would it be a huge waddle

Xx

Twinkie1 · 11/07/2008 17:57

Am 10 minutes from Kelvedon Station but can collect you from Colchester or Witham or Marks Tey if your tarins do not run to Kelvedon.

Unless people want to go elsewhere?

Saz is going to make the tea though - I am going to teach her!

Saz would you prefer to host here? I am going to have you being a domsetic goddess before you know it - DH will be shocked - if you get here early you can make the cakes and I will even let you lick the spoon - although DS may have something to say about that!

Saz126 · 11/07/2008 20:35

Ha ha twinkie...great if you can host..saves me cleaning up he he. Please do teach me to make tea, many have tried and failed. DH won't know what to complain about though if I become too goddess like.

I am going to nag DH to sort out getting the garden done so that I can then host and show off my goddess-y skills.

So tired today, bring on the weekend so that I can have lie in. DH waking up with the larks to occupy DS in the morning, yippee!

Sawyer64 · 11/07/2008 20:58

If I'm not working I'd be more than happy to pick you up MLP from Colchester North as I live there (not on the station!)can pick up,but maybe not return journey unless its to Kelvedon Station(as have to pick DS up)

Or somewhere else en route.....?

Is it am or pm Twinkie or Saz?

Doing a study day in morning, and free in the afternoon, but have to pick up DS from Danbury at 4pm.

Sawyer64 · 11/07/2008 21:00

Sorry, been a long day! Picnic = Lunch = midday 'ish. Doh!!

MrsMagooo · 11/07/2008 21:05

Hi Twink (This is MLP - had a name change sorry to confoose things )

I can get to Kelvedon, takes about an hour with 2 changes apparently

If it's ok I'll see how I feel the day before - it's not me being funny I swear as I really want to meet the rest of you guys, but an hours train journey with bump & DD does not sound overly fun he hee

Hope I don't come across as being a moo!!

Xx

sophierosie · 11/07/2008 21:24

Oh - I'd love to come along next week but am busy tying up loose ends before I finish my job...

Mung · 12/07/2008 10:37

I can't make it next week ladies...I can do the week after though. I hope to see you all again soon.

Twinkie1 · 12/07/2008 10:54

Mrs Magoo if you can get to Colchester I can come and collect you.

MrsMagooo · 12/07/2008 14:09

Are you sure???

Thanks hun

I can get to Colchester North no problem!

Don't like to put anyone out - would it be a huge trek for you?

One small thing.....would you have a car seat in the car I can pop DD in??

Xx

Twinkie1 · 13/07/2008 10:24

No that is fine just let me know what train you are on. Probably about 11.30 would be good as I can be home and ready for everyone else by then. Is Colchester North the one right in town or the one out by the Asda etc?

Have a 3 point car seat for DS and a booster for DD so one of them should be fine - DS can sit in DDs seat.

MrsMagooo · 13/07/2008 17:54

That would be fab Twink thanks

I can just pop the reins on DD saves me faffing with pram etc

Colchester North is the one by Asda, is that the best for you to get to as I can get to either!

I can get there 11:30 no problems, the train leaves here at ten to & gets into Colchester North at 20 past the hour

lucyfer2000 · 13/07/2008 20:55

Hello Twinkie we would love to join you for tea and cake next Thursday if that is ok. I can help mark the tea effort if you like!! i'm sure Saz will excel herself.
Actually last time that I invited someone around here for a cup of tea they only drunk a little bit - so maybe i'm not best person to comment!

I would offer to pick you up Mrsmagooo but i can only fit one extra child seat and a very small person in between two seats in the back of my car. I fear that a ready to pop pregnant lady may not be a great squash ! Hope to see you there though!

See you soon xx

purpleflower · 13/07/2008 21:03

I can make it this week if thats ok? Where will I be going lol.

pooter · 13/07/2008 23:51

hi everyone! We cant do this week as we are collecting our new car! im very excited - and im not usually fussed about cars at all. Its an S-MAX which means i will be able to ferry lots of people about 'cos its got 7seats!!! woo hooo. I wonder how long it will be before i back it into a post...

i will hopefully see lots of you at the breastfeeding/hungry child feeding picnic on monday 21st 1-3pm. God im shameless at plugging that

MrsMagooo · 14/07/2008 09:59

PMSL Lucy - you're not wrong there - I am currently the size of a small country Look forward to seeing you there

Twink - what can I bring by the way?? Shall I make some cakes??

Xx

JentlyDoesIt · 14/07/2008 12:11

Now listen Mrs Magoo, you are a lovely nearly ready to pop size - we have had that compettion remember - I was the size of Pooter's new car...

Twinkle1 - I would love to come too if that's ok? Need to look for train times to Kelvedon and then I need directions to yours. I will have the double buggy with me. I shall pick DS up from nursery early and come to you. Will try and get to Kelvedon station for about 12.30 if that's ok?

OP posts:
Sawyer64 · 14/07/2008 12:12

I would also like to come too please.Whereabouts are you in Kelvedon?

How late do you guys stay? as I am on a study day in the morning until 12.Could probably pop over later if you haven't all left by then?

MrsMagooo · 14/07/2008 12:44

Fair enough Jently - you win I have to admit defeat on that one

(Especially as my measurements have all gone haywire!!)

I don't have any rush to be home as DH at work all day so I shall just take my leave when everyone else does

Xx

Saz126 · 14/07/2008 12:52

Look forward to seeing you all on Thursday. Let me know what time we need to arrive Twinkie and any food we need to bring. Will try to put DS down for short nap beforehand.

Twinkie1 · 14/07/2008 18:24

I live at St Andrews which is opposite the Indian Restaurant on Kelvedon High Street.

You are all welcome to stay as long as you like although Mrs Magoo I will have to ferry yu back to the station before I pick DD up from school at 3.20 as she has a little friend coming to stay and we won;t all fit in the car - Me, DD, DS and little friend and you and your LO!

Hope that is ok - is DDs first time to have a boy round to tea and she is stupidly excited - he is only my friends little boy but he is lovely!

You don't have to bring anything if you don't want to - I will make a victoria sponge Wednesday and will make some cornflake cakes for the kids - additive free just in case!

Is salad and Pizza ok for everyone else? Am hoping it is going to be nice weather because we may have workmen here painting the front room window and if it rains we will all have to decamp to Adventureland!

MrsMagooo · 14/07/2008 18:47

That's no probs at all hun - whenever you want to tip me out at the station is fine

Bless your DD being so excited - love her!!

Pizza & salad - you are a GOD - it's only been my major craving throughout this entire PG!!!!

Would you like me to bring a Pizza with me - I'm popping to the shops tomorrow so could pick up a nice chilled one

Ps Do you have a mobile number you could PM just incase trains are delayed/I go into labour (wishful thinking)

Xx

purpleflower · 14/07/2008 18:55

Just looking up the directions now. I'll still probably manage to get lost lol!

Do you want me to pick up MrsMagooo as I'm coming from colchester anyway. I can just take the 2nd car seat out of DP's car. Actually that may not be a good idea if she makes cakes, two pregnant ladies and a bag full of cakes

Are you sure I don't need to bring anything?

MrsMagooo · 14/07/2008 19:15

PMSL - can picture us pulling up with cake crumbs all around our faces

Xx

Twinkie1 · 15/07/2008 07:58

Purpleflower that would be great - is a greater help if you could drop MrsMagoo back off for me so we don't have to rush!

OMG though how many of you are pregnant - am terrified that you will go into labour the pair of you - now the labour doesn't bother me - it is the fact that I went mad in the John Lewis sale and replaced all my old towels and gave them to the handy man - they probably aren't the cleanest now so blood and amniotic fluid on my new pristine white towels will give me a heart attck - mind you they will have loads of clean shrink wrapped towels at the indian restaurant across the road so we may be ok!

Let me know if that is ok and I can spend more time cleaning and baking so I can pretend that Saz has been here all day making cakes!

Can I have a role call of how many are coming and if you are veggie or allergic to anything just ioncase I decide to make a nice rump steak, banana and pecan loaf!!
