New to the area

Hi All.

I am new to Winchester and looking to make some friends.

DC 3.9 and I have been to several groups/activities in the area since moving but haven't yet found any friends (or people who want to talk to us :( )

Would be lovely to meet some others in the Winchester area.

Oh, sorry to miss you guys. We're going to meet again, Mon at 2pm at Riverpark playpark.

I'm usually about 30min late as DS naps at midday....

Hope to see people there next week - could become a regular Monday afternoon meet? (Though maybe decamping to soft play or similar on rainy days!).

Sorry to miss you all but hope to make it next week. DS only woke at 3, was miserable as sin and was then sick so no doubt you will all be glad we didn't show up!

I have now moved into the area, we are living just south of St Cross. Finding the area really beautiful but keen to meet some other mums and littles ones to settle in properly....I am around on Thursdays and Fridays if anyone would like to meet up in the park or for a coffee? Or perhaps if there is a good toddler group or activity session we could meet up with some of you there?

I've had a few weeks to get to know the area so at least now I know where the river park soft play and discovery centre are!!
I'm around this Thursday morning (3rd) or Friday afternoon (4th) if anyone else is? Could meet up at the Discovery centre for Rhyme Time and cake afterwards? I've heard its pretty busy tho?

Also, I was thinking of taking my DS to soft play at River Park next Monday afternoon if anyone is up for that? Plenty of room to sit down and the cafe is just down the corridor for drinks and cakes. Hope to see people there.

I should have said we'll be there at 2ish and it is £1 for every half hour.

Hello, I know your post was almost a year ago now, but I am now in your position! We are moving to St Cross from Winchester. How did you find it? Did you meet some friendly people? It feels a little like jumping off a cliff at the moment. I have a 3 year old and 18month old. I'd love to hear about your experince!
