ooh the excitement of starting a new thread

Haven't been watching news but slightly alarmed at the number of my acquaintances who are calling for curfews and the army to be brought in. Do people not value civil law enforcement? Now I'm getting scared ...

I am going to bury my head in the sands and not watch anymore news. Instead I shall wallow in my appreciation of my lovely solid acoustic piano, after playing friend's digital one yesterday.

anyhow on normal life things are fine but dh spent the night working and dd slept a lot less than she should have and needed, plan to feed them early and send them to bed early whether they like it or not

listening to some of the interviews with looters is depressing, some kid seemed to think it was ok to loot the local shop,because they have insurance and they are rich and give us now respect ok then

we are supposed to go for pet supplies that involves a longish walk not sure dd is up for it, this was so much easier when she was 2 and had a passion for muddy puddles

Reading the Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula Le Guin now. Can't believe I've never come across it before.

she is phenomenal also the adaptation by studio Ghibli is amazing

tok the bikes uo to Richmond park on new bike rack. Struggling like mad one way and seriously doubted my ability to ride ever. Then discovered as I whizzed back that I was actually riding up a very subtle hill and rode all teh way back at a decent like (with some panicking when someone else rode towards me )

Took DS to see Mr Poppers penguins today. Have had to remortgage the house as a result.

KewC at least you went well done, is the film any good? will probably take dd to something tomorrow and want to steer her away from the Smurfs

DS thought every bit with the penguins in was hilarious, just up his street on humour, everything in between he just about tolerated.

Jim Carey played himself as usual but it was bearable for me.

Arrietty was just so beautiful I am trying to convince dd to watch again once we find the dubbed version

we did go to see mrP penguin thing, dd liked it.

we have pet trouble, I noticed one of them was quieter than usual yesterday and has been listless today, unfortunately I only noticed that after booking the cinema tickets and have shopping to be delivered, there is not enough time to go to vet before dh comes home, maybe after shopping arrives but I am a bit worried about going to vet with dd and piggy in case it all goes wrong

on another quick note KewC I was clearing an old email account and found an email from you in the junk mail folder giving notice of new email address, is that the new one?
