Talk to me about quality of life. UK vs USA

So, DD is 3 and DS is almost 2. I am American, living in the UK, but am thinking of moving back to California. Both DCs have dual citizenship, so no problem with visas etc.

What are the good points living in the USA? What do British people miss about the UK?

Racism exists everywhere and certainly is alive and well in the uk.....I found London to be unbelievably racist. Apart from the direct and disgusting anti-semitic remarks that my boss (educated British) used to make to my face..... And the rather odd revelation that no one in my work place (architects office) seemed to realize that jews, christians and muslims (there was at least one of each there) all believe in the same God....or have many of the same cutoms.
We lived for quite a few years in Harlesden (a primarily black London neighborhood which had the dubious reputation of being London's murder capital!). I was repeatedly surprised by the reaction to white Londoners when I told them where I lived. And ended up having to testify against the local (white) police for beating up a young black neighbor of ours (very scary). When our best friends, a mixed race couple, were property hunting they told us many stories about having to send the wife (white) to look at properties because no one would show the husband (black) the same properties. My dh is working class from the NE of England and I saw people treating him over and over again like a dog because of his accent and skinhead and then turn around and be extra polite to me because I am middle class and greying.

I live part of the year in the USA, part in the UK and sometimes spend time in Canada. The GreenCard is still the most sought after piece of paper in the world. I notice that the USA and Canada attract wealthy people from around he world. The UK generally seems to attract third world people seeking benefits. Canada also has its share of these people. The USA is more dog eat dog, so people who are work shy generally go to the other countries, unless they have family. In order of preference, USA, Canada then the UK. Why, just a sense of optimism in the USA, the general positive attitude of its people. Canada also has some of this, the UK it is rare.

U.K. Now living in NH USA, best thing we ever did was to leave the U.K. US has:

Better weather
Higher quality of life
Lower cost of living
Lower taxes
Higher pay for the same job
More space
Cheaper housing
Slower more relaxed life
Better healthcare- you do have to pay but $25 a doctors visit isn't bad

There is nothing I miss apart from family
