No it didn't flood that badly - there was nothing of value on the floor - it's never flooded before while we've been here.

I've only been to Tonga which is lovely but very basic in places. Gorgeous beaches and sea but wow, really made me realise that for a lot of people there it's almost subsistence living. Dh loved Samoa when he was there. Fiji is the most developed (and popular).

Ok,amnio was pretty painful,am just resting. But scan showed more fluid in the baby's tummy. That isn't good. They said if the results are clear on thurs for chromosonal defects,it could be a heart defect. They will scan me in 2 weeks,at 17 weeks to check anatomy. If that's clear they will scan the heart at 20 weeks. But it's not looking good which ever way you turn it.

WhatSheSaid · 03/07/2012 10:32

Sorry to hear this. Hope you're getting lots of rest.

ScroobiousPip · 03/07/2012 11:51

So sorry it wasn't more positive news AB. Hope you are getting some sleep tonight.

ScroobiousPip · 03/07/2012 12:08

Um, did anyone else hear and feel that??

buzzybee · 03/07/2012 12:11

Scroobius - sure did, freaky!! Are you in Wellington? I'm a Wellingtonian and I've never felt a quake that went on that long. 7.0 offshore Taranaki apparently. I expect there'll be some damage up the NI west coast.

Bobbish · 03/07/2012 12:16

Still thinking of you AB. Hoping you get some answers soon x

Bobbish · 03/07/2012 12:17

That was the horriblest quake I've felt yet. Really thought that was going to be welly's big one

Sibble · 03/07/2012 21:50

AB thinking of you.

Hi buzzybee, yes in Wellie. Typical (dodgy) converted Wellington villa so the whole flat was shaking and the windows were rattling. Muppet that i am, i just lay in bed rooted to the spot. Thank goodness it was as deep as it was. I will be heading out at the weekend for more emergency supplies though.

thelittlestkiwi · 05/07/2012 01:41

Still thinking of you AB. Is today results day?

AngryBeaver · 05/07/2012 02:35

Have been waiting by the phone all day.Wsa supposed to have results by now. This is fucking torture.I feel like I'm about to have a heart attack.

OP posts:
vvviola · 05/07/2012 02:37

Oh god AB Sad I can't imagine how hard the waiting must be for you. Sending you lots of good vibes and hoping you get news soon.

(I know they don't hold results back on purpose, but you'd hope they make calls like this a priority...)

WhatSheSaid · 05/07/2012 02:40

Thinking of you too AB. Who will phone you, your mw or someone from the hospital?

AngryBeaver · 05/07/2012 02:44

Hospital will phone mdwf, midwife will phone me. They said within 48 hours. That's passed. They told mdwf if she hadn't heard by lunchtime she should call them. Is lunchtime 12 or 1? I would say 12.
Seriuosly think I might have a panic attack or something. On my own with the kids trying not to scream at them

OP posts:
WhatSheSaid · 05/07/2012 02:47

Can you call the midwife to see if she can phone the hospital? I'd say 1.45 is definitely past lunchtime.

AngryBeaver · 05/07/2012 02:50

Oh my god,the midwife just text me and said she rang aukland and they said no result available,we suggest you ring back tomorrow???! They cannot fucking do this to me

thelittlestkiwi · 05/07/2012 04:34

That's so awful AB. Poor you.

WhatSheSaid · 05/07/2012 05:22

Sorry AB, this must be so hard for you.

Bobbish · 05/07/2012 05:26

You've had appalling treatment AB. Really hoping they get an answer to you tomorrow. (hugs)
