Hi everyone, I’ve created a new thread as I am overwhelmed to see that the last one is full. You have all filled me up with your hope and encouragement. I’m keeping going as long as I possibly can!!

misspositivepants · 05/07/2023 13:04

I would make the same decision as you.

wish you a safe journey x

Izzy54321 · 05/07/2023 13:08

I couldn’t just read your posts and run. I am sending you love and light hoping that London is the right choice for you and your family. You all will know that you have tried your very best getting you care. I’m very sorry that your treatment has been very very lacking in lots of ways. Hoping your journey to London is swift and as pain free as possible xx

Swimmingmin · 05/07/2023 13:08

Good luck Pamela. I really hope the journey was not too arduous although I know it will have taken a monumental effort from you. You will be exhausted. I am currently having chemotherapy for my pancreatic cancer, as I write this, but thinking of you and hoping you get to be able to start this path next week. Keep fighting, you’ve got this girl 💜

IDontLikePinaColadas · 05/07/2023 13:11

You are an absolute warrior!

Safe travels, sending lots of love & strength from Laura in Cardiff x

SlightlyJaded · 05/07/2023 13:32

Good decision Pamela. I do understand why you wavered but you have made the bravest and best choice for you and your lovely family.

Dr Bridgewater sounds fantastic - but also, I don't think he would drag you down to London in your current state if he didn't have some hope of improving your situation. You have been massively let down and you serve a chance. Rooting for you here in Lucky London x

wineschmine · 05/07/2023 13:56

Best of luck you wonderful, wonderful woman.

Get yourself to London and let this team give it their all.

I'm angry on your behalf at the inaction of the last 7 weeks.

That is a fight to be had, but it is a fight for another day.

For now - one foot in front of the other - figuratively! You stay as comfortable as you can in the wheelchair, let others do the work of getting you to London, and take it one step at a time.

Sending all the good vibes in the world xxx

Theloosegoose · 05/07/2023 13:58

Copying the previous poster- This candle will burn for you today. Your strength is beautiful.

You can do this. Visualize in your minds eye the procedure being a resounding success, the ultimate birthday present. Continue to visualize every cancer cell in your body being obliterated by the chemo you will have on Monday. In your minds eye, repeatedly, watch as the chemo engulfs and annihilates every cancerous cell leaving only soft pink, healthy cells behind. See yourself walking out of that hospital, shaking hands with the professor and into your healthful future.

You got this.
We love you.

Professor Bridgewater certainly would not have encouraged you to travel to London if he didn’t believe he could help!

VariantHela · 05/07/2023 14:37

You're an inspiration. Lots of love ❤️

Much love to you Pamela, I posted on your first thread and you, Kerr and Jacob have been very much in my daily prayers and thoughts.

Frankly I'm beyond horrified and so very, very sorry for what you and your family have been put through, the delays are simply beyond comprehension and the shower of shits so called professionals responsible should hang their heads in shame.

Your courage, dignity and resilience throughout has been humbling. Hopefully you have now reached London safely and at last you will be given the expert care and attention that you should have had from the start. I'm sure that Professor Bridgewater and his team will swing into action as soon as you arrive to ensure that you are comfortable and pain free as quickly as possible and agree with a previous poster that he wouldn't have suggested the trip had he not thought that he could help you.

You are in good hands now and I pray that you, Kerr and Jacob will be given peace of mind, strength and the positive results that you so richly deserve.

Sending love, thoughts and prayers, from Vikki in Marseille xx 💐

sunglassesonthetable · 05/07/2023 15:28

From my experience with my OH I know how difficult to "just go" would be when your body is in such a bad way.

It's a total thing in itself. And to be so far from home when you are so poorly. For you and all your family.

Thinking of you x

Sammiches101 · 05/07/2023 15:45

I hope the travelling went well today Pamela. I have been following your updates and I wish for all the best to come to you and yours now that you are in London. I hope you have a comfy night and i wish you all the luck in the world for tomorrow. I admire you. Cath in Scotland x
