Hi everyone, I’ve created a new thread as I am overwhelmed to see that the last one is full. You have all filled me up with your hope and encouragement. I’m keeping going as long as I possibly can!!

Pamela I’ve been reading your posts for a few days now and you have been in my thoughts a lot, and your lovely family too. I will be waving at the skies tomorrow, hoping the journey can be made as smooth as possible (take all the painkillers it’s safe to take). I will be praying for you all and wishing you all the best with the treatment in London 💐

You’ve got this💖

AllHopeandRainbows · 04/07/2023 22:32

You’ve got this Pamela 💪🏼🙏🏼❤️

MrsPositivity1 · 04/07/2023 22:35

Pamela, I’m delighted you have decided to go. It’s a big thing but break it down into small chunks.

  • Car to airport
  • wheelchair to plane
  • 90 min flight
  • wheelchair at other side
  • then taxi to Harley Street.

What time is your flight? I’ll be thinking of you every step of the way

Kate x

Very best of luck! Do whatever you need to do for yourself and for your family. Sending good wishes your way.xxx

herbetta · 04/07/2023 22:36

You go.

I just remember a family member who was so so jaundiced and felt like they had an immediate death sentence, but the stenting was such a turnaround, it made all the difference. They chose not to have chemo, but they had a lovely comfortable summer and a good few months with family.

All the best for tomorrow x

Mydoghealsmyheart · 04/07/2023 22:38

Wishing you the absolute best of luck. You are stronger than you think. Fight for your life x

CrotchetyQuaver · 04/07/2023 22:41

If it was me or one of mine I'd be going to London. Where there's life there's hope. You know the risks and that you might die in London. Your boys know that and they want you to go. I think you should go. The alternative is inevitable, this might not be, however slight the hope. But if you can get this done private via your BUPA then hell yes definitely go. Have you got morphine? Someone damn well should have provided you with some in the last 7 weeks.

Id load up on that and get on that plane
Good luck whatever decision you make xxxx

huntingcunting · 04/07/2023 22:42

Just realized you are the same age as me.

So glad you have decided to go. If nothing else, the stent will make you much more comfortable and it can be done on Friday rather than you having to wait until Monda and them piss about again.

My relative had the same carry on being fobbed off at a hospital in the NE of England. Sent to the Freeman to have a stent then sent back again without a reason given, felt absolutely horrendous, then he was eventually sent back to rhe Freeman and had the stent done. He was much much better after that and had a good few months to enjoy with his family.

Dhama · 04/07/2023 22:43

Wishing you all the best and hope the travel goes well tomorrow too x
