Hi everyone, I’ve created a new thread as I am overwhelmed to see that the last one is full. You have all filled me up with your hope and encouragement. I’m keeping going as long as I possibly can!!

Pamela I am so sorry you have been so let down. Despite the pain you write so coherently and are obviously still yourself. Hope you get some help and answers soon.

Georgiepud · 03/07/2023 22:19

Pamela you are right that you need to look to the normal everyday things to find enjoyment with your family.

I hope tomorrow brings a break through.

Thanks for updating us Pamela. What a tough time...I'm so angry on your behalf about the delays. You must get the stent sorted, happy to help fund getting you to London if Kerr or a friend can set something up. So pleased you've had some lovely family time despite the pain & the struggle, Kerr & Jacob are lucky to have you. Stay strong, lovely xx Lucy West Yorkshire xx

Just a quick one as I’m going to try to get some sleep. You’re all so incredibly generous with your offers of contributions. I’m really not that sort of person, and would never presume to ask anyone for anything. Also, we are not on the breadline and could scrape the money with some juggling about if we have to, so I don’t want this to just become a fundraising thread as I’m a wee bit (probably stupidly) proud about that sort of thing and it kind of gives me a guilty feeling as goodness knows everyone is struggling right now.

Let’s see what tomorrow brings with Vass and we can reassess then. I really need this stent done asap though as I actually feel as though time is very and increasingly limited without it. Going to try to get a settled night and progress tomorrow. Love to you all, you extremely selfless and wonderful people.

I'm so so sorry you're going through this. Have you or your dearest been in contact with PALS? They're usually really supportive and will do some pushing on your behalf as you and your family have enough to think about x
Sending you so much love x

smartiecake · 03/07/2023 22:53

Dear Pamela. I hope, things will change and you get all the treatments you need really soon! To be so ill and write such articulate updates, you really are amazing!
Friends are strangers, who you haven’t meet, but we feel that you have given us the privilege of knowing you and your family a little! Hope you have some promising news tomorrow, that will easy your pain and make you feel well. Thinking of you, and letting you know lots of people care. 😘🌸

Pamela I am so sorry you are on this journey with all its pains and discomfort.

I am just sharing this resource which has free audio books and short stories in case you are seeking distraction since you mentioned enjoying radio plays. Just hoping for as many peaceful and pain free moments as possible so you can enjoy your family.

Sending love and comfort. I hope you get some good sleep.

LodiDodi · 03/07/2023 23:37

I hope you have an easier night, Pamela. We are all thinking of you. I'm so saddened to read about your harder moments, but although I'm sure you know already, even though what you're going through is incredibly difficult, lots and lots of people go through this, so you and your family are most certainly not alone. At the same time, I'm so happy to read about the moments where you find joy in the everyday and spending time with your loved ones. How lucky you are to have such a wonderful family! I hope the appointment goes well tomorrow. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.

Poilin · 04/07/2023 02:02

I hope you're having a peaceful night and I shall be holding g you all in my prayers tomorrow. Much love to you

SpeedReader · 04/07/2023 06:17

Pamela, I'm going to start with some unsolicited advice - if London is the best option for you medically but will require some hassle & juggling for you to pay for transport or other out-of-pockets, please do us the honour of helping you. It will not be a big deal to anyone who can contribute, but may significantly reduce the stress for you and your family, and allow you all to focus on your health and spending time together.

I'll 🤐now with the advice you did not request!

I hope you have gotten / can get some rest. If you are awake overnight and need some company, those of us on the other side of the world are here and thinking of you, so please feel free to post.

I have everything crossed for your meeting with Mr Vass. You are right - you can assess your options once you've spoken with him. Sending all my best wishes to you ❤

Vebrithien · 04/07/2023 06:51

I completely echo what @SpeedReader just said.

I hope and pray that you get the answers and plans today that you need.

The photo is of this morning's sunrise, through the apple tree in my garden, a calming image for you.

Good morning, I hope you had a peaceful night.

Just wanted to send good thoughts ahead of your appointment today and for a clear and decisive outcome.

You write so beautifully - your determination to see the good in every day is inspirational and a reminder for myself, and I'm sure many others, to do the same.
