My son may be dying

Just that.

He has cancer, they have not been able to control it.

They have given him one last chemotherapy to see if it can turn a corner but his body may not be able to tolerate it and it may not work.

We have been told to prepare ourselves for him to deteriorate suddenly.

My husband can't be with us because my son also has Coronavirus so we are in isolation and he is with our other son.

I am so sorry op. I can't even imagine. You were so strong for him and that was the best gift you could of give him while he was alive. You done everything you could as a mum in his final moments don't ever forget that. There are no words to describe loosing a child but I hope one day you will find a small bit of peace in that he knew you were there and he knew he was loved. Again I am so very sorry op.

@aloneinthenight I am so very sorry for your loss. You and your family must be devastated.

I lost my youngest sister to cancer many years ago, she fought if from her late teens to early 20s and know that her legacy still lives on in our family. Your son with live on in yours. The importance on love - not limited by the number of years - lives on.

Take the time to be together and grieve. Again so sorry for your loss. You remain in my prayers x

OP I am so very sorry. I've been thinking of you the last few days & hoping this would never come to pass. Now it has I don't know what to say. My heart is breaking for you. I'm relieved your darling boy didn't know what was going on. I send every bit of strength to you, your husband & younger son to get through this terrible time. Please remember that you couldn't have done any more as his mother, & that you will always be his mother. Do continue to post if it will help. And not if not of course. Take care x
