My 31 year old husband has been today diagnosed as terminal. His cancer which had gone in July has come back rapidly and now there is nothing they can do Sad. How do you move on from here? We had his sperm frozen to hopefully try ivf but he won't even be alive to try that.

I'm so utterly heartbroken Sad

@Nifflerbowtruckle you absolutely did not need to hear that and I think it was rather tactless of them. Although, I remember when my DDad passed away, he kept being referred to as 'the body' - it was horrendous for me, and it still is to this day.

Thanks for you.

Morning Niffler, I hope you got some rest. How awful of the pharmacist I'm 😡 on your behalf.
Thinking of you x

TwitterQueen1 · 13/12/2017 08:44

Hello Niffler I expect you're feeling lonely and very very sad. This must be an extremely difficult time for you - I hope you can feel at least some of the supportive vibes being sent your way from all of us on here.

Jamon · 13/12/2017 09:05

I'm so sorry and heartbroken for you and for your husband - he was too young to die and I'm sad for him the life he has missed out on. You sound like an amazing wife and partner to him and you must have lots of amazing memories of all your time together. Hope your little dog is keeping a close eye on you, make sure you lean on your friends and family too. Sending much love xxx

ElephantsandTigers · 13/12/2017 09:40

Still thinking of you and I hope DDog is better and okay.

Amber0685 · 13/12/2017 14:02

How are you doing?

Nifflerbowtruckle · 13/12/2017 19:51

Hi all I'm doing okay. I had a busy day today visiting the local funeral directors who picked DH up to hand over some paperwork then driving 3 1/2 hours to our home city and meeting with the funeral director who is organising the funeral. It's also my mums 50th birthday today. I'm going to go see her tomorrow after arranging the flowers.

When is the funeral? Are you staying in your home town for a while now? Hope you are managing to eat and sleep you really have been so amazingly strong for your DH. I hope you have a nice time with your Mum.

Nifflerbowtruckle · 13/12/2017 20:14

The funeral is the 21st December. I'll stay until after Christmas and then go home for a few days then come back New Year's Eve. DH's birthday is January 2nd so I'll stay in Home town for that.

I'm managing to sleep okay. I'm one of those people who when they are upset get really tired. I'm eating a bit too.

That's good you are managing to look after yourself. Is your dog with you?

Nifflerbowtruckle · 13/12/2017 20:31

Dog is here I wouldn't have it any other way. She's having to put up with my in laws dog but she's okay.

Dog cuddles are the best aren't they. They just know when something is wrong. Mine is asleep on the sofa at the moment. Thats good she gets on with other dogs ok, I suppose you had her at boarding sometimes didn't you.

Amber0685 · 13/12/2017 22:45

Ps hope DDog is coping with the cold and wants a runaround with you .my two are wimps and on the 'getting out into the fresh air front' would be no support at all
