My 31 year old husband has been today diagnosed as terminal. His cancer which had gone in July has come back rapidly and now there is nothing they can do Sad. How do you move on from here? We had his sperm frozen to hopefully try ivf but he won't even be alive to try that.

I'm so utterly heartbroken Sad

I really wish you and your DH peace, OP.

Nifflerbowtruckle · 29/11/2017 14:28

Nurses have been out today to see him. He is comfortable but very sleepy. I don't think it will be long before he passes. We are all downstairs so he can rest.

Hugs to you niffler. And to anyone else for whom this thread resonates. There are a lot of us out there too. My tears haven't stopped for a while thinking about what you are going through OP. Been there, done that.

Gently saying this, but I presume you are well aware and are doing it, but talk to him, tell him he is deeply loved and give permission to go. He will probably hang on until parents arrive.

All my thoughts and tears (sorry) are with you. He is so young. So sad.

cathyclown · 29/11/2017 18:02

My apologies OP, I missed the post where you said his parents had arrived.

That is good that you are all together.

KeziaOAP · 29/11/2017 18:02

Even though you have people around you - it's a very lonely experience. Be kind to yourself and take up offers of dog walking, meals made for you etc.

doowapwap · 29/11/2017 19:30
