Please help trampoline laws/rules?

Trampoline in garden.

Neighbours have been harassing is since we moved in, many different things (has been police involvement) but now trying to claim trampoline makes them uncomfortable as my child can see their garden/dining room (sincerely doubt she's looking at the dining room in the second she's bounced up). Threatening to sue us 'private nuisance and breach of privacy' if it's not respositioned.
I don't know what my rights are here?!
As far as I'm aware people are allowed trampolines in gardens?!
I'm also not sure if this letter is an empty threat or if they would do this?!
Can anyone please help

Received letter from them.
This letter doesn't look like a solicitor letter, looks like one they've typed out themselves.
It says 'evasive' when what they actually meant was 'invasive' stupid idiots

Ignore. There is nothing they can do about you owning a trampoline.
If you want to be a good neighbour you could consider moving it somewhere else if appropriate. I might do that if I didn’t want to fall out with the neighbours. If I didn’t care I’d tell them to f right off

Do you think they're bluffing or would they try suing and wouldn't get anywhere?
This is making me feel a bit better.
They sent it signed for (although I didn't sign for it, postman signed himself!)

It'll go nowhere, but you can take basic steps to avoid this particular issue. Put something up that means she doesn't have direct line of sight any more, move the trampoline etc.

I'd hate it if my neighbours kids were staring at me as the bounced up and down next to my place - it's intrusive even if your neighbours are arseholes!

Kids ARE nosey. They just are.

And so it is a bit invasive having them bounce up and down in clear view of a window. (I would imagine, never having experienced it myself.)

The neighbour next door ended up sinking his as it was in direct line with his other neighbours window and they complained.

Move it away from your neighbour's fence! Jesus, why would you investigate "trampoline law" rather than choose not to make a bloody nuisance of yourself?

Please bear in mind (I know people on this thread don't know this) but these are people that film my child with their phone just for the purpose of making us feel uncomfortable and to want to make us moved out .
So they couldn't care less about invasion of privacy!

If you can move it somewhere better in your garden, I would do so, just to keep the peace. If you can't, I would ignore them. You're not doing anything wrong.

Hi, that's not actually true.

If the trampoline is in a position such that those who are bouncing in it can see over into a neighbour's garden then it is an invasion of privacy.

Have you read the OP where I have literally stated that there has been police involvement because of them?
Perhaps think about that before you accuse me of this

I could move it a few centimetres to the other side but if I move it anymore to the other side it'd be uneven ground or on grass.
It's not this massive garden in the first place

There's usually two POVs in cases like this. Trampolines next to a fence/ overlooking next door are a pain in the ar$e and kids scream like banshees when they're on them too. Parents are often immune to how irritating their own children can be.

New neighbours to us (3 kids) had theirs next to fence and under my office window. It was causing me stress and was a nuisance so I asked if they could move it. They are nice neighbours and said, "gosh, we had no idea, of course!" and put it at the bottom of the garden.

You sound like hard work! Rather than investigating 'trampoline law' just move it!

If they are threatening legal action (even if they can't) unless it's repositioned, that implies there is an alternative site you could use in your garden.
So why not remove their ammunition by just moving it?
Trampolines are a pain for neighbours. Owners should do their best to minimise the annoyance even if their neighbours ARE arseholes

I mean they could sue you - but it would cost them thousands and I can't see them getting anywhere with it.

Its most likely just a threat.

But be a good neighbour and if you can move it further away from their window do it

Perhaps I shouldn't have posted. Or spelt out exactly how many things these people have done and what do people understand who these people are. But if I did that it would be a very long post. And I didn't really want to go into it all again.

They can be dug into ridges and secured on grass. Often much safer.
