Anyone here TTC?

SchnitzelVonCrummsTum · 28/07/2017 16:57

I'm hoping to start TTC baby #4 in August. Is there an existing larger families TTC thread / group, or does anyone else fancy joining me? The groups in the Conception topic don't really seem like a good fit ...

I'm 34
3 children (4, 7 & 8)
3 miscarriages before child #1

Good luck couldiseriouslybepregnant

My FW is closed, my work is done 😂 Dtd on what I think was O day and now camping which is not conduicive to any kind of action so thank goodness last month was a short cycle!

So 2dpo... how's everyone else?

Couldiseriouslybepregnant · 02/09/2017 22:43

Well that was shit, he couldn't come Sad

SchnitzelVonCrummsTum · 02/09/2017 23:01

Oh Couldi that IS shit for both of you, although I do think it happens a lot more often than people say, particularly when TTC.

Sending hugs x

That happened to us too this month couldi

nandostodayplease · 03/09/2017 11:43

Just happened again! Angry. I wouldn't mind but he's the one that's convinced me to try for another, ggrrr.

Oh I have namechanged, I'm couldiseriouslybepregnant

BrutusMcDogface · 03/09/2017 11:47

Ah, that's shit. Especially as he's the one who convinced you! Maybe he's scared of the thought of another baby?

My 3 yo said out of the blue, "please can we have a newborn baby?" Grin I'm not happy with dp at the moment though so no chance unless its immaculately conceived!! Angry

nandostodayplease · 03/09/2017 12:04

We have just realised it's probably due to some medication that he's on, it causes delayed ejaculation.

Not sure what we can do, as he needs to take it.

Stressful stuff this Grin

Mumof3cheeky · 03/09/2017 15:34

Hi Everyone, ho law are you all doing?
I'm still battling with this annoying spotting. I'm on cd29 and have been spotting since cd 20 but not sure on what day ovulated as didn't chart but going on ewcm it was around cd16-cd18
I have been testing but all negative. Just want my af to start so I can start a new month.
Saying that I'm in limbo again as to try or no to try for #4
We had a lovely family run and it made me think we couldn't do that easily for a few more years again if we go for it and also find that around af is due and I'm more and more tired and having to get up at night to dc I keep thinking. Oh god how could I do this again every night with another baby Confused

nandostodayplease · 03/09/2017 18:33

I know what you mean, I have these doubts too at times

nandostodayplease · 04/09/2017 07:25

Has anyone used the boots opk sticks? I haven't had a dark line yet, and I'm supposedly in the middle of my fertile week according to the Ovia app. Plus my ewcm would indicate ovulation?

Finally managed full intercourse last night Grin

EverythingNow · 04/09/2017 08:09

No sorry I haven't, I used Tesco last month and cheapies this month.

I'm a total newbie at opk-ing and didn't use in my previous ttc-ing, what time of day are you doing them?

nandostodayplease · 04/09/2017 09:50

Mid day ish normally, I have never used them before either, I think I might just stick to the app as it's getting too stressful Shock

Poppytime · 05/09/2017 23:33

Hello! I am possibly starting to ttc #3 soon, still under discussion but I think we are both keen - are we mad? We already had a dd who is just 4 and a ds about to turn 2...my parents would think I'm crazy....

nandostodayplease · 06/09/2017 07:50

Go for it!! My parents are going to think we mad too Grin

EverythingNow · 06/09/2017 10:49

Welcome Poppytime number 3 is brilliant!

Tww dragging here Smile

Poppytime · 06/09/2017 11:05

Thanks! It's funny some days I think, yes let's do it - others I get cold feet (like the other night where both kids decided to be home half the night for various reasons!) - ahh the tww, it feels like an eternity doesn't it?!

euanthesheepiloveyou · 06/09/2017 13:55

My mum was horrified when we told her I was expecting no.2 when no.1 was only 3 months! Then she wasn't best pleased when no.3 was announced either (3 under 3!!) But when she saw that we were coping just fine, supporting them ourselves (both f/t professionals) & they were growing up into awesome little humans, she wound her neck in! She was more positive about no.4 & by no.5 she had learnt it's best just to smile & say 'That's lovely, dear. Congratulations!' With no.6 she just said 'Well why wouldn't you?! One more will make no difference!' 🤣 Still weighing up the pros & cons of 'just one more' but I'm maybe thinking more nay than yay at the moment. It might just be pushing our luck. I'll probably change my mind when the baby starts running around in another few months! But then I'll be 40...which was always my final cut off! 🙄

Poppytime · 06/09/2017 16:32

I meant up not home!

Poppytime · 06/09/2017 16:33

3 under 3 euan - I bow down to you! Grin

euanthesheepiloveyou · 06/09/2017 17:33

Fun times, Poppytime! Go for it. 😎😎😎

BrutusMcDogface · 07/09/2017 10:00

Oh yes, definitely go for your third, poppy! Wink

I'm still flipping from "yes, let's do it!!" To "no frickin way!" Re: number 4.

Had a heart to heart with dp and we are both on the same page. No chance of conceiving this month (I don't think!?) but I'm on about cd22 so we have a few weeks to think about it.

Getting close to my cut off too, though; I don't want the age gap to be much bigger than it would be if we conceived now.

How is everyone else? Everything- when are you due to test?

Mumof3cheeky · 07/09/2017 12:46

Britus I have step by step gone downhill with the limbo of shall we or shall we not. Now the Older 2 are back at school and ds3 starts nursery 5 mornings a week just love the peace and quiet. I guess will have to see how it feels in a month time once my cleaning freak was has died down.
I also feel a bit guilty for wanting to stay in this bubble of having more and more babies and not facing up to reality and contributing to the household even tho we are financially quite well off and really not necessarily for me to go to work but just slightly feels like I'm going backwards rather than moving on...Hmm

Mumof3cheeky · 07/09/2017 12:51

It's crazy how feelings can change from day to day. I think seeing all the parents going off to work or just being busy I feel i should do something a bit more.
Also I know if we were to have another one I would not be able to join school trips with my dc as they have been asking me to volunteer to do it and just be difficult again going to school events.
I guess all this can somehow sorted if I really wanted to.
Feel like I'm just making excuses Confused

SchnitzelVonCrummsTum · 07/09/2017 15:54

Still lurking in early pregnancy paranoid state (not getting ANY work done, just googling stuff) as a cheerleader to everyone's TTC efforts. Gosh, I'd forgotten how completely batshit early pregnancy makes me. After 3 losses I am constantly waiting for the blow to fall.

Despite that my hormone levels seem reasonably good at the GPs (they're going up at about the right rate) and I have peed on 11 billion cheap sticks which gives me the illusion of control. How is everyone? Where are you in your TTC cycles - I have lost track?

OP posts:
nandostodayplease · 07/09/2017 18:22

Glad that your pregnancy appears to be going well Smile

Im Not sure what's going on with my cycle this month, but I'm supposedly in my last fertile day so I'm hoping for some action tonight Grin
