Tracking antisemitism 2

continuing on from the last thread which morphed from a discussion about antisemitism to tracking it globally.

I’ve probably missed people out

to start off with something positive - this was a few yeshiva students response to antisemitism ❤️🕎

“Three Jewish college students from NJ were dancing at Denver International Airport. They said they were motivated to do this after the mass shooting in Australia: “We will not be scared or give in to the darkness, we will only add more and more light.” Happy Hanukkah!”

they’re playing my favourite zusha chanuka song, and one of them looks like DHs nephew who lives in America! Had to do a double take and check it wasn’t him!😆

i believe someone mentioned the arrest and ongoing court proceedings against these two men, who were alleged to be planning a terror attack against the Manchester Jewish community.

“It could have been here, and it could have been us.

Many in Britain will have missed that Walid Saadaoui and Amar Hussein are on trial after police say they caught them with assault rifles and almost 200 rounds of ammunition.

This is the moment of their arrest. There has been very limited reporting of this trial. “Their plan was to get the weapons and ammunition and identify a mass-gathering of Jewish people whom they could attack” say the prosecution.

It is alleged that the defendants were waiting for a further 700 rounds before embarking on a mass shooting.

700 rounds.

Both Walid Saadaoui and Amar Hussein deny terror charges, as does Bilel Saadaoui (brother of Walid) who is accused of failing to disclose acts of terrorism.

What happened in Sydney will happen again and again until the West wakes up. The enemy is at the gate. Our politicians are out of time. There is not a moment to lose.

Surely they must be looking at very long sentences?

Merry Christmas to anyone on this thread who celebrates. I only just found out that Donutelier in London is part of the Israeli bakery Roladin. And of course it’s on the boycott list. Just in case anyone didn’t know either and wants an incentive to buy more donuts after Chanukah!

I am genuinely baffled by how the Labour government can think this would go down well https://x.com/Keir_Starmer/status/2004603692197036322

For those not on X, Alaa Abd El-Fattah is back in the UK after the government persuaded the Egyptians to pardon him (apparently its been Labour's top priority since they came to power, because they have nothing better to focus on) despite his long history of making violent statements concerning Jews (calling for more Zionists to be killed), white people and British people. Obviously, this hasn't been well received.

I’m delighted that Alaa Abd El-Fattah is back in the UK and has been reunited with his loved ones, who must be feeling profound relief. I want to pay tribute to Alaa’s family, and to all those that have worked and campaigned for this moment. Alaa's c...

There's a new thread up in this very subject and the whatboutery was up and running within the first few posts. Now up to page 4 with links to El-Fattah's tweets. Despicable, and Keir and his advisors need sacking.

Diamond82 · 28/12/2025 20:19

I see now the prime minister has backtracked in what he said. Did he really have no idea who this man was?

YesHesAPlonker · 29/12/2025 16:53

I suspect this is a foreign office stitch up / cock up. Starmer has been a fool not to realise what was going on.

EllaDisenchanted · 30/12/2025 08:06

Thanks 🙏
the more I read on this the worse it gets.

The El Fattah thing is a disaster. It’s really highlighted how insanely incompetent both labour and conservative are and the insane gaps in homeland security.

I was always happy that the UK was not an armed populace, but I really do wish security guards and police were armed.

Ireland , antisemitic graffiti on the road.

Rachel moiselle
“In a highly depressing turn of events, the day after I was berated by hundreds of Irish people on this app for writing an article that asked the Irish public to listen to the concerns of the Irish Jewish community, I have been sent these photos and video of antisemitic graffiti by a concerned Slovak man living in Ireland.

He spotted this yesterday as he was driving on the R165 (Shanlis) from Kingscourt to Ardee County Louth. This particular area is known to the Jewish community as having been vandalised with antisemitic graffiti before in 2019 (link to article below).

The local Gardaí and County Council will be contacted. To say there is no antisemitism problem in this country is a grotesque insult.”

I can’t make out what the last thing says - zo33? Is that meant to be a reference to zyklon b?

lecturer thrown out of his class in Lyon by radical students according to Jake Simons.

disclaimer - I have not seen this on MSM or other places at this point. I don’t know if that’s because I’m searching in English.

Jake Wallis Simons (@JakeWSimons) on X

A lecturer in Lyon is thrown out of his own class by radical students. This could be a scene from the 1930s in Germany, or the Russian or Chinese revolutions. We haven’t learned from history!

Rachel Moiselle has written about the antisemitism in Ireland and the refusal of the Irish to recognise it or accept what Irish Jews are telling them: x.com/RachelMoiselle/status/2005572071204516270

In response, she has received hundreds of insults and more concerningly responses from people who seem quite proud of the antisemitism in Ireland, very much making her point for her.

She's shared an image of the article below and a link (need a subscription) https://m.independent.ie/opinion/rachel-moiselle-seven-out-of-ten-people-say-ireland-has-no-antisemitism-problem-heres-why-they-should-think-again/a905982918.html

All this in the same week "Jew Rat" and swastikas were painted on a road in Ireland and people claimed it was a one-off, kids or a false flag.

I've only been to Ireland once, but after hearing about the years of attacks on Jews and now the denial that there is a problem, I'm in no rush to go back.

Well this doesn’t look good- day one in office, as part of a mass revocation of Adam’s orders since sept 2024, among other acts, Mamdani has revoked the implementation of the IHRA definition of antisemitism.

Is anyone surprised, really? I have a Jewish friend who lives in NY and she doesn't seem too worried by him. In fact I believe some Jews actually voted for Mandani as they 'liked his ideas'! Shades of German Jews who thought they were untouchable when Hitler became Chancellor in 1933. Will we never learn? 😡

It is uncomfortable to feel that you're in opposition to the accepted fashionable viewpoint. People want to conform to the 'right' belief system and always have. Unfortunately the current trendy belief system is very concerning, and when it is disseminated in higher education, it is a major problem.

A highly educated lawyer is exactly the demographic to align with progressive values and be exposed to biased news sources, public figures, literature and media. My nice local bookshop was platforming a book called Hamas: A Beginner's Guide that described 7 Oct as a 'consequence'. At our local museum attendants were wearing woven Palestine flag bracelets.

I understand why people of a slightly older generation find it hard to step away from the left because it’s been ingrained in them for so long as that’s the ‘good’ side I suppose. Especially if they don’t go on social media then they miss part of the picture of what’s going on. I’m younger and it’s probably easier for someone of my age to realise that the left left me, not the other way around.
I have family in NYC, they are really frightened of Mamdani and will be moving soon.

On another note, I’ve seen a lot on social media about the lies that have come out regarding the West Midlands police and the Maccabi Tel Aviv football game. I’ve seen very little in the media about what’s transpired. Sad that most people likely won’t find out the truth.

I find this very confusing as socially I am absolutely on the left (particularly as I grew up in the states and still vote there). I cannot in good conscience vote Republican but also cannot now vote Democrat so I'm left nowhere and with nothing. I come from a multi-generation left leaning family so it's a massive shift for me personally
