I was thinking this today. I wonder if they all knew they were campaigning for an Israeli ceasefire only and not a Hamas ceasefire.

I saw that on the bbc too - if Israel releases two more monsters. I am so, so desperate for the hostages to be freed and the bodies retrieved but this endless changing list of demands is exhausting.

on the drive home this morning there were American and Israeli flags lining the highway. (Road towards Jerusalem).

He is also saying release is between 7 pm and midnight tonight.

I agree. I’m a UK Christian and the hostages and their families have been constantly in my mind and prayers since they were taken. I feel like I’m holding my breath waiting for them to be freed.

I just cannot even begin to imagine how the families feel. And what the hostages must be thinking now.

And such sorrow for those who aren’t alive.

If it’s two extra @EllaDisenchanteddid then assume they were dead or is this Hamas playing games to get the ‘big players’ out of prison. I know I have said it before but it puts a mockery on the exact numbers of things Hamas spouts. It’s all a horrible game.

I don’t know, but I don’t think it’s two extra. There were serious doubts about whether a few hostages were alive, but I don’t think it was confirmed any which way. I assume these two would be from the group where they had serious doubts (maybe no signs of life?).
the request to release two high profile prisoners appears to be related to releasing the hostages early, rather than stalling on releasing them.
I’m also posting unverified things. It’s hard not to be continuously online today.

There is apparently an official announcement being made this evening 8.15 Israel time (6.15 UK) by Netanyahu. I was watching the live feed from hostage square yesterday and when Steve Witkoff mentioned thanking him there were very loud boos.

Haven’t been sleeping well for 2 years now and it isn’t actually my life at all - I can’t wrap my head around this level of fear. I see my family and my community in the hostages even though I don’t know them.

I keep rereading all the stories of all the hostages. I don’t want to forget them. Crossing everything, all the time.

Many of the hostages were captured when trying to help others. I can't imagine the bravery of that 🤯

I'm wondering if Evyatar David has any idea what's going on? and if so, how he is managing his thought processes in light of the barbaric cruelty he has been shown. I'd imagine he would be very wary of anything that appeared to offer hope. 💗

@gingergrani do think there is a time and a place and Israel can go to the polls next year and get rid of Netanyahu.

@stomachamelon I would like to think so because elections have to be held before October 2026 but it is complicated. Because there is proportional representation in Israel there needs to be effective and electable opposition parties who do not have to be propped up to form a coalition by the ultra religious parties and the extreme right wingers otherwise nothing will change. I don't think at the present time the opposition to Netanyahu is well co-ordinated

@gingergran did you get any sleep? I eventually fell asleep for a few hours very late. I didn’t sleep much 2 nights ago either. DH went to daven Shacharit at neitz at the Nova site, he’s still there now.

Updated to 7 hostages , to include Guy Gilboa Dallas, and they have been handed to the Red Cross in Gaza City!!!!!

times of Israel updated that 13 living hostages are being released later (down from 14). I did not see Tamir nimrodi’s name on the list, nor Bipin Joshi. I cannot imagine the hell their families are going through.
