I read the posts on here with interest and often the subject of anti semitism comes up. I was brought up in a town in the South East. My mum gave me a book about Anne Frank when I was around 8 and I can remember asking ' what is a Jew?' as I had never met one. When I was about 14 a girl from northern Israel came to my school and I was asked to befriend her and help her settle in. I can remember being fascinated about her life in a Kibbutz and she used to show me
Hebrew writing. I don't recall ever hearing anything anti semitic about her or her brother as the only two Jewish kids - to my knowledge in the school. I also remember in my twenties encountering a group of lads from North London - white something and them having an absolute hatred for Jewish people. I can remember feeling utterly shocked as I'd never heard anti Jewish speak prior to this. Reading some of the recent posts on here it has made me wonder wherever there are pockets in the Uk with Jewish communities that experience antisemitism where the rest of the UK it does not occur as people simply have never met a Jewish person just their life- to their knowledge.Where I live I have only met 4 Jewish people in the Uk in my life and I am 47. The most Jewish people I have met were in Israel when I visited in 2000.

I don't have the energy to comment on the riots in Montreal. Saw a picture of a woman doing the Nazi salute at it and some of the videos.

Bottles and plates hurled at Jewish schoolgirls in Stamford Hill, London. One girl hospitalised with facial injuries (since been discharged). I e seen accounts say the girl was 14, and some say 16.

2 buses used by JFS school kids attacked by teens this week as well (hurling rocks and rubbish and screaming f* Israel). The kids on the bus used to open the front door and they would lean out and spit at us. The spitting was disgusting. And the adult driver obviously witnessed it all and never mind ignored it, he must have been ok with it, as he let them open the door! Someone must have complained because the route was changed at some point and it stopped . This was already decades ago, and things have certainly not improved since then, clearly deteriorating in London.

Whoever it was, they allegedly launched the attack from an identifiable flat. I look forward to hearing reports of their identification and prosecution.

I hope the young girls are ok physically, I know the mental damage will be deeper.

And premeditated, the article suggests. I'm glad there is a support structure there, though the community shouldn't have to do so much themselves.

IW has a tenuous grip on reality, they also think they have a cervix so critical thinking isn't a strong point. They also identify as a journalist. 😮

Nursery burned down in Sydney. I know it's bad everywhere but what on earth is going on in Australia? I feel like so much of the antisemitic attacks I read about are there.

Just seen a headline about a TV presenter at a major Holocaust evening doo that King Charles attended. Apparently when she was on stage talking she said something on the lines of '6 million people died including Polish, gay and other minorities'. Not sure if she mentioned the Roma community but WTAF. Apparently she apologised, said it was an accident that there was no mention of jews. Was it fuck, this was deliberate. She would have read the script prior to going on stage. It was probably written by a group of people. The irony that she was (intentionally or not) displaying antisemitism at a fucking Holocaust remembering function. Jesus wept. I'm so angry. So many people equate Jews with 'genocide'/palestine. Sorry foe the swearing

just seen the spectator has called it out. as they state, you wouldn't talk about the slave trade without mentioning Africans, you can't talk about the holocaust and mention all the victims aside from jews
