Ok I have taken the bait because I think it's important we have somewhere to chat and decompress.

There is an awful lot of name changing going on and we must remember that although it should be, this is not a safe space. We are followed here and that is worth considering (especially if you don't want to be deleted)

In relation to that ama: those of you who attended or have kids at Jewish schools - how would it work in practice for parents to request that their kids "be removed from any classes or events to do with Israel"? At my own mainstream CofE school, kids of various faiths would sit out in assembly and others didn't go to sex ed type classes. But I'm struggling to see how being removed for anything to do with Israel could feasibly be organised.

Hmm, it would be a struggle. There would be some things that would be easy enough to skip, like celebrating yom haatzmaut, but they partly learn about Israel during their Hebrew lessons too, and during their limmudei kodesh lessons too.

Not sure why you'd choose to send your child to a school where you don't agree with a significant proportion of the stuff they're teaching 🤔

I went to two Jewish schools after being removed from the first one as the school wouldn’t not allow my removal from those classes however the second school was a much more co-Ed with other religions and had other pupils sit out of these classes. Due to its more Co-Ed nature these classes were few and far between and got to the point of being nonexistent come GCSE time based on chosen subjects.
