Ok I have taken the bait because I think it's important we have somewhere to chat and decompress.

There is an awful lot of name changing going on and we must remember that although it should be, this is not a safe space. We are followed here and that is worth considering (especially if you don't want to be deleted)

I am grateful for all the love and support though and I thank each and every one of you. You are all stronger than you know. I wish I had something profound to say but I don't...: this will have to do!

@EllaDisenchanted hadn't even thought of the whole holiday club thing 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm such an idiot. I'm glad it's not too big of a hassle for you! And it's great that your child with ASD is able to attend a suitable class. It's impossible to find a place in a suitable SEN school in the UK, there are nowhere near enough places available.

Yes, playgrounds seem to be a big thing in Israel! My niblings there are always out and about wreaking havoc in one playground or another (the oldest of the three is five years old... They're all very young and absolute terrors 😂)

I'm glad to hear that you've managed to make life in Israel work. I know it can be hard, so it's always nice to hear success stories :)

When this was reported in the news in the US, the reaction of knowledgeable national security sources was that this type of mass causality attack was trademark ISIS and not at all like the surgical strikes the US and Israel conduct—that and the fact that ISIS and the Iranians are bitter enemies.

So, of course, the accusations start flying against the US and Israel.

Even now with ISIS themselves saying it was them, there is at least one poster on the other board saying they're still not sure 😂

Hey all, Happy New Year!

And your January calendar pic is....

EllaDisenchanted · 04/01/2024 19:47

@Humdingerydoo 3 under 5 ... good luck!😆are they whizzing around on Bimbas yet, destroying their shoes?!

Yes, the tikshoret class system is amazing. It's these little self-contained classes for children with ASD, within the mainstream schools. So they partly integrate, wherever suitable (on an individual basis), whilst getting ASD specific teaching, with good staff ratios.

I regret sto and etm inviting you here 😁

If they haven't done that I wouldn't currently be washing my eyeballs with soap

etmoiandme · 04/01/2024 22:32

@stomachameleon Yes, kind of misleading. There's obviously Jewish members but I think the bulk of membership is made up of non-Jewish affiliates. They basically seem to exist in order to bait Jews who don't actively denounce Zionism or worship at the alter of Corbyn, and their schtick will only ever recognise antisemitism as coming from the right. I think they founded a few years after he became leader specifically to counter accusations of antisemitism in the Party, it may have been them that started the 'it's a smear' mantra but not sure. And obviously, under the guise of a Jewish org, they served a very handy purpose to the far left. I honestly think they've done the Jewish community a huge amount of harm (including those of us on the left). Their membership is tiny because it's such a fringe organisation (even Lansman called out their crankery and made a point of them not being made up of many actual Jews). But they are very loud and sadly quite influential (in a sense) because they've become very useful idiots for the far left - "oh look, these Jews in JVL don't think it's antisemitic to say something something therefore it can't be so we'll just carry on doing antisemitisms". IYSWIM.

Strategically placed items?

Are you encouraging Giraffe or speaking in code about a thread?

stomachameleon · 04/01/2024 23:50

Sorry Ms.
Although.... that's not a bad idea on the thread front.

OP posts:
Trulywonderful · 05/01/2024 00:03

Sto I can barely make out what everyone is referring to at the best of times

Plus my posts often look like they are in code anyway. What with spelling mistakes, made up words ( remember Giraffiti) and my phone changing words automatically

You think I could manage more than CAVE again

Trulywonderful · 05/01/2024 00:15

I have just posted something on the Documenting the Horrors of Hamas thread. Don't look if you are sensitive.

I am actually feeling shaky after reading it. Need a hand hold here please or someone distract me

noblegiraffe · 05/01/2024 00:28

Hey mate, it’s awful. Those people who were going on about how well the hostages looked should be ashamed.

noblegiraffe · 05/01/2024 00:28

Although if it’s distraction you want, people have been giving me ideas Wink
