Ok I have taken the bait because I think it's important we have somewhere to chat and decompress.

There is an awful lot of name changing going on and we must remember that although it should be, this is not a safe space. We are followed here and that is worth considering (especially if you don't want to be deleted)

I am grateful for all the love and support though and I thank each and every one of you. You are all stronger than you know. I wish I had something profound to say but I don't...: this will have to do!

We have nice regular people lurkers too. No problem with lurkers. It is just the ones that are here for iffy reasons that are the issue

Anyway maybe it was a mod that didn't want me talking about how free speech online only goes so far and mumsnet have to investigate and report anyone that is posting hate crime type stuff. I mean talking about this isn't exactly good advertising for the site. Some people will leave if they are concerned their own iffy posts will end up being reported to certain agencies.

It probably counts as troll-hunting which isn't allowed.

Yes, quite a few new posters all of a sudden. Mostly very aggressive ones. Between that and them announcing they're PMing each other I'm going to take another break. It's not achieving anything anyway.

100% this. Best to leave them to their echo chamber. I'm increasingly realising that the ordinary people I have around me in my day to day life hold more moderate views, thankfully. I don't think those who seek to minimise 7th Oct or shout offensive slogans on the marches are in any way representative of most people in the UK - they just shout louder.

Yes but they shout so incredibly loudly, and some protesters are clearly unhinged. Like, they're planning on storming airports to protest the war?! Throwing paint at buildings in the UK? It's all completely unhinged and destructive, it's non-lethal terrorism. So they scare me, as obviously we don't know who it is that's posting online.
