Hi ladies, so, as the title reads, I start the injections tomorrow evening. I have an appointment with my clinic (Care) tomorrow morning for the baseline scan and to get the treatment plan. Meds have arrived so we are ready to go! My AMH is 8.3 with follicle count of 14.

I had my son via IVF 11 years ago and was very lucky that it worked first time and on the NHS. This time it's private and costing a fortune. This is the only shot we have at this so we are feeling the pressure for sure.

I fell pregnant last month naturally (first time ever due to PCOS) but that ended in a chemical at 5 weeks. We are opting for PGTA testing and keeping everything crossed for a euploid.

Is anyone else starting this journey?

Hi @IndigoBlueyand all. Right tell me more about these FETs ladies, how long from your period to transfer? Is it similar to when you’d naturally ovulate? I know nothing about this side of things and evidently I’m nosy!
My period arrived today which was a bit earlier than expected. I suspect everything’s still a bit messed up from previous IVF cycles. I did spend a while this morning calculating whether I could delay until my November cycle but I have a holiday which would probably fall bang in the middle of when a possible fresh transfer would be from a November cycle, so if they can get everything ready in time (I don’t even have my drugs yet!) I’m going for it this month.
Still not up for it really and still getting mild palpitations whenever I look at how much we’ve spent on it.
I have some Menopur left over from the last round which should make this round slightly cheaper and I’ve asked to transfer anything that we get over the two transfers that we’ve already paid for, rather than paying the extra for PGT-A.

Ooh @overwork exciting if you can get it all ready in time! And good that you can save a bit of money with the meds you already have and deciding not to test. Will your clinic do transfers any earlier than day 5? I've read of some people having success by transferring early on day 3.
I think FETs are different depending on medicated or unmedicated. For me I'm on a medicated cycle so having estrogen tablets for 13 days then cyclogest for 6 days then a transfer. The meds started on day 2 of my cycle so just 1 day less than 3 weeks for me. It's so much easier than doing stims! My period also came earlier than expected and the clinic had one spot available for this month so got us booked in straight away and sorted our meds out the same day. Hopefully it will be just as easy for you. What day of your cycle do you start meds? For my fresh round it wasn't until day 21.

Ooh well that proves how different they all are, I’ll start stims either tomorrow or the day after. And then my egg collection will be about 12 days later. Oh wait did you do long protocols? I think I’m doing a short one. So I’ll have had my fresh transfer before the end of the month - if there’s one to transfer!

@overwork mine was a short protocol but they start meds on day 21 just so they can fit you in with the clinics timings! So it's the pill for a few days then a withdrawal bleed and then stims start. So I guess you're just missing out needing the withdrawal bleed and going off your natural cycle instead of your clinic needing to time it. I find it really interesting how different clinics do things. Sounds like things will move really quickly for you then!

Oh I see! No I don’t think I have to fit in with any of their timings. How are you finding the oestrogen? I’ve heard that can be tough on your moods
