Welcome @FrozenPeass and @Ellenn! Glad to hear all your transfers went well!

Fingers crossed for your transfer date soon @OneGladOtter

Transfer day was a not totally as expected but okay I think…..when we got there we found out that our embryo had only partially survived the thawing. So the clinic recommended thawing another one and they asked us if we wanted to transfer both because the first one was like 15% viable. So we did - the second embryo thawed as expected apparently and was nicely expanded etc, so hoping that little guy implants. The clinic said not to expect anything from the first embryo but as it was still partially survived they also didn’t want to advise us to discard it. All a bit confusing and we decided quite quickly so anyway just fingers crossed now!

My blood test date is not until the 26th because we’re at a wedding over the bank holiday 😱so far away! When will you guys test at home if you are going to?

Blimey, that sounds stressful. But with any luck you've got a mega strong frosted there. How would you feel if you ended up with twins?

Azahar8 · 13/05/2026 09:59

That must have been stressful! I am glad your second embie was all right and both are safely on board! Was it a similar grade?

My clinic only does a blood test if the home test result is negative. My OTD is 23rd May but I will test on the 21st to start preparing myself. I tested very early last time when I had a natural cycle, as I wanted to see if there was any hint of implantation whatsoever, but now I don't want to test too early as I will lose the will to do the injections.

Are you planning to test at home?

Isn't it funny how clinics are all different? Mine said don't POAS, just come in for the beta blood test.

Azahar8 · 13/05/2026 10:56

Will you have the will to do that @LifeOfRiley63?😀

🤣🤣🤣 I managed last time, but had my DH hide all my tests in his man cave

TheMintCrab · 13/05/2026 11:01

@Azahar8 Thanks, second embie was a 3BB so sort of...

I will test in advance, don't think I can hold out until the 26th....I'm considering the 20th or maybe 21st - just would like some indication before we go away for the weekend.

Thanks @LifeOfRiley63 - my mind is just not really considering it could be twins tbh! It's weird, the embryologist said there's a something like a 0.01% that both would implant as the first embryo had degenerated....but she equally felt that ethically she couldn't tell us that it had no chance at all. It's that weird grey area with all of this where the science goes so far and then it's sort of up to the gods! This would be our first child so we have no sense of what it's really like - if it is twins we'll just have to roll with it I think😅

Azahar8 · 13/05/2026 11:34

Well done @LifeOfRiley63 , I couldn't do that 😂

@TheMintCrab Mine was a 3BC 🤗Yes, I think by the 21st it will be clear whether it's worked or not.

FrozenPeass · 13/05/2026 11:44

@TheMintCrab Wow what a whirlwind, can imagine that must have been so stressful! Very glad that your second embryo fully survived the thaw and is transferred. I hope that you enjoy the wedding!

My clinic doesn't do blood tests. I am a horrific early tester, I purposely used all my pregnancy tests before the transfer watching the trigger line fade. Hopefully that has sated my need to test for a while! Official test day is 23rd but I will be happy to make it to Monday 😂

Azahar8 · 13/05/2026 19:08

Do keep us updated @FrozenPeass 😀

Ellenn · 13/05/2026 19:55

@TheMintCrab what a whirlwind! That’s great the second embryo was looking good though fingers crossed it is getting cosy already!

so I caved in and tested of course I couldn’t even wait till OTD on Sunday lol 🙈 looks good I think 🫣 I hope it sticks around …. Feels way too early to get hopeful yet but 🤞

so who is next going to cave in? 😂

FrozenPeass · 13/05/2026 20:49

Congratulations @Ellenn !! Really understandable to feel cautious at first, but hope it starts to feel more real over the next few days! How many days post transfer are you if you don't mind me asking?

Ellenn · 13/05/2026 21:37

@FrozenPeass im 8dp5dt today and was supposed to wait until 12dp5dt oops 😂

how are you feeling?

FrozenPeass · 13/05/2026 21:45

@Ellenn I think making it to 8 days is respectable well done!! Everything crossed for you!

I am feeling that I can't believe I am only one day post transfer, feels like at least 3 😂

Azahar8 · 13/05/2026 22:13

That's wonderful news @Ellenn, fingers crossed 🤗 Is it your first transfer?

Ellenn · 14/05/2026 00:07

@FrozenPeass time does jsut seem to stop doesn’t it post transfer 🫣 I always feel the first couple of days go okay and then you start to worry when you will end up testing (I’ve never made it to actually OTD 😂)

@Azahar8 this is my first transfer for sibling round I managed to get my son on my 4th transfer (the first 3 all were early miscarriages 🥲) what about you?

Azahar8 · 14/05/2026 06:47

@Ellenn Hopefully this one will stick🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 I've had 6 transfers overall and that's my 4th one for sibling round.

TheMintCrab · 14/05/2026 06:54

Aw congratulations @Ellenn!! 🤍🤍

I think I’ll probably cave by 8dpt 😂 @FrozenPeass I know exactly what you mean, I had to restrain myself from buying a test yesterday because it had literally only been….one day

Ellenn · 14/05/2026 22:50

@Azahar8 i hope you are right! Although know too well the agonising wait to see if viable 👀

I hope #4 is going to be the lucky one like us last time! Are you doing medicated cycle?

@TheMintCrab the moment my early tests arrived it was challenging to not use them lol do you feel it helps you to test early?

TheMintCrab · 15/05/2026 06:47

I’m finding it so hard not to symptom spot! Have been having a very dry mouth/ thirst - but I’m on a fully medicated cycle so I know it’s also all just the progesterone 🙈

MocktailMe · 15/05/2026 07:57

I'm still quite behind you ladies but I'm having my scan today to check my lining and absolutely praying for good news so we can transfer next week 🙏

Azahar8 · 15/05/2026 09:12

Thank you, @Ellenn, I really hope so, but finding it very hard to stay positive. My previous three cycles were natural modified and although I responded really well, they didn't work. I'm on fully medicated now because this is what previously worked for me. What about you?

Apologies if I'm wrong, but were you with me in the March thread too? I'm sure I recognise your handle.

I understand you - I know very well symptoms are meaningless but can't help it. I've only had mild cramps so far.

I was yes, my last transfer was 11/3 and it ended in a chemical pregnancy early loss. That was the cycle immediately following a natural conception miscarriage around 6 weeks. Hoping for better luck for both of us this time around!

The good news is my scan went really well, they're happy with my lining so I'll be getting a call later today with my fixed transfer date and instructions on when to start the next phase of drugs!

OneGladOtter · 15/05/2026 15:31

Girls, can i ask a question for anyone who has had a FET before. So i called the clinic today- think they had forgotten about me from their questions 🫠 So have my transfer booked in for sunday…kind of…. so they said embryologist will call sunday after 9 to say they are thawing, then again after thaw which im taking as confirmation if all went well but i dont find out my transfer time till after that call. Is that standard? and if so how long did you gals wait?
