Anyone else having embryo transfers next month and preparing now?

Hello everyone - hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread! @Azahar8 we've also got our transfer booked for the 12th 🤗

First time FET after an egg retrieval in March but then was at some mild OHSS risk so have needed to wait until now for the FET. Now doing a medicated cycle with an untested embryo.

A lot of up and down emotions over the last 6 weeks from genuine despair to now feeling somewhat excited.

@TTCbaby2xox I'm so sorry it didn't work this time.....the waiting and not being able to have control over timelines is honestly such a hard part of this process. My clinic is the same re timings. I've been really working at accepting that this is going to take as long as it takes

A late joiner here too! Had 1 failed fresh transfer and this is our first FET.
Started the progesterone patches and all fine. Had my lining thickness scan on Friday and measuring 5mm instead of 8mm, so they put me on estrogen tablets. They have absolutely knocked me for six! I am so unbelievably bloated, really aggravating my endometriosis. Has anyone else felt this rough on estrogen tablets?

@Azahar8 5 blasts - think we'll be transferring an untested 4BB on Tuesday. So I know it's really a flip of the coin and it's so hard to balance being hopeful with also trying to brace for disappointment.

Hi @LifeOfRiley63, sorry you are feeling this way. I had dizziness the first few days after starting estrogen but my body seems to have adjusted now. I usually find the progesterone causes bloating. Hope you feel better soon!

@TheMintCrab You are right that it's very much a flip of the coin with untested embryos, and even tested ones don't always work, but I am keeping everything crossed for you tomorrow!

@TheMintCrab good luck with your transfer! Tested/untested/ grading the emotions are going to be there no matter- be super proud of those embys in the freezer you have already done so much!

I got the positive OPK today so just waiting for a call back to see if they can book me in for a transfer on sunday- just 2 transfers on a sunday so its touch and go 🫠

Hi everyone, hope it is ok to join now I have just found this thread! Just had my transfer this afternoon which went smoothly, official test day is 23rd May which feels AGES away!

Welcome, @FrozenPeass! It's three of us now with a transfer today! I'm glad all went well. Mine was smooth too. Was it your first transfer?

This is my 3rd transfer, first didn't take then was successful with my second which is very lucky I know.

Any plans to keep occupied during the wait to test?

Thank you @FrozenPeass! I will try to focus on work and then have two birthday parties on the weekend, so I am hoping that time will pass quickly. Though I am also dreading the test day. I will test 1-2 days in advance just so that I know if I need to go to the clinic on the 23rd and plan my day. Do you have any plans?

really glad to hear all transfers went well! welcome everyone 🤍 ahh @Ellenn you have just reminded me of how tough that wait is… i tested early last time and the anxiety it gave me 🫠🫠 i forgot how absorbed you get in that in that time its mentally overwhelming isnt it! your over half way in the wait 💪🏻

I am really sorry to hear that @OneGladOtter, it must be so hard to wait without knowing. They really shouldn't be offering natural cycles if they can't fit them in. Hope you have clarity soon! 🤞🏻

Transfer day was a not totally as expected but okay I think…..when we got there we found out that our embryo had only partially survived the thawing. So the clinic recommended thawing another one and they asked us if we wanted to transfer both because the first one was like 15% viable. So we did - the second embryo thawed as expected apparently and was nicely expanded etc, so hoping that little guy implants. The clinic said not to expect anything from the first embryo but as it was still partially survived they also didn’t want to advise us to discard it. All a bit confusing and we decided quite quickly so anyway just fingers crossed now!

My blood test date is not until the 26th because we’re at a wedding over the bank holiday 😱so far away! When will you guys test at home if you are going to?

That must have been stressful! I am glad your second embie was all right and both are safely on board! Was it a similar grade?

My clinic only does a blood test if the home test result is negative. My OTD is 23rd May but I will test on the 21st to start preparing myself. I tested very early last time when I had a natural cycle, as I wanted to see if there was any hint of implantation whatsoever, but now I don't want to test too early as I will lose the will to do the injections.

Are you planning to test at home?
