April FET 2026

Pregnant4456 · 01/04/2026 21:24

I have just started spotting so expecting tomorrow to be CD1 of our FET round.

Doing a modified natural cycle with Letrozole and a trigger.

We will be transferring a PGT tested 4AA embryo so I am hopeful it works after our fresh transfer failed in Feb. Doing IVF due to tubal factor as both tubes removed from previous ectopic pregnancies.

Just to make the whole process more stressful we are going on holiday to Greece 6 weeks today - a bit too close for comfort to check pregnancy placement before we go away - but for the moment, we are planning to continue with our FET.

Anyone doing a FET in April too that wants to join and chat?

i am a private patient. Do you know if the NHS GP can continue prescribing progesterone if the clinic asks for it?

Peonies94 · 16/04/2026 18:45

@MarG88 I don’t think so, as far as I know! Last time my clinic issued prescriptions every few weeks for me which I sourced and purchased!

Peonies94 · 17/04/2026 10:11

How’s everyone feeling?

I’ve taken today off and having a lazy day! Cleaned the kitchen this morning and going to watch rubbish tv now for a bit! How’s the two week wait going for everyone?
was a bit annoyed they’d forgotten the bloods yesterday and had to drive another two hours to get that sorted, but glad it’s done now!
definitely feeling different this time after the way the last one went, and knowing this is our final one!
who has transfers in the next week or so?

@AnonTTC whens your next scan?

AnonTTC · 17/04/2026 11:29

Sounds like the perfect post-embryo day off to me @Peonies94 - I'll definitely be doing the same if/when we make it to transfer! so annoying they forgot your bloods!!! My clinic don't actually do any bloods around transfer.. what are they for?

My next scan is Tuesday, so not ages to wait after the weekend. I've had quite bad headaches from the extra oestrogen, which I'm hoping means it's doing something!! I'll be going in open minded, I think my gut says it will have improved but potentially not to where they need it so maybe we'll need longer? I'll be gutted if it hasn't shifted at all, and will be quite puzzled since I've never had this issue before, but there's nothing we can do so just got to wait & see! x

Peonies94 · 17/04/2026 12:27

@AnonTTC ususlly I have them day before transfer and also twice before starting progesterone, I think to check meds doses are appropriate. Or whether anything needs adjusting. This time they said as it’s usually fine day before to do it on the day to prevent me coming twice. It was only when we got home we realised we hadn’t had them.

Peonies94 · 17/04/2026 12:35

@AnonTTC good luck for Tuesday, hopefully time won’t move so slowly for you. IVF waits are so hard it’s just one thing after another. I really hope it’s improved for you. Did you have surgical procedure with you MC? I only ask as I did and was warned I may have lining issues afterwards.

AnonTTC · 17/04/2026 12:46

Oh interesting @Peonies94 .. I guess because I am with the NHS there's less of these checks and they adopt a 'one size fits all' approach until proven otherwise.

Thank you ❤️ I'm keeping everything crossed this is a one off and it will catch up. And nope, I miscarried naturally which is quite reassuring because I had a similar thought to you.. if I'd have a procedure I'd be worrying there had been some damage. Only thing I can think is that when I miscarried (it was quite intense pain/cramps) it got rid of more than what my usual period would, so we started from a much lower base this time around? Who knows! It's impossible to tell with these things isn't it x

MyLau · 17/04/2026 13:20

9DPT now, i'll test home tomorrow. Not a lot of changes in my symptoms since the day of transfer. I have difficulties sleeping on my left side. Normally i'm always cold but this morning i'm sweating and i'm slightly nauseous. But could be the nerves and the progesterone 😅
Have a nice day everyone. 🤞

Peonies94 · 17/04/2026 14:16

@AnonTTC thst could be right, may have started at a much lower starting point! I know I did. My lining 1.4 this time and usually 5/6mm at baseline! Everything is just such a guessing game and often no rhyme or reason to things too, which doesn’t help make things clearer for us!
🤞 for Tuesday for you!
@MyLau i do find it soo hard to tell the difference between symptoms of meds and potential pregnancy! Good luck for tomorrow 🤞
im going to order my tests on the weekend on Amazon to stop me testing any sooner than Tuesday! Hoping if they come Monday afternoon, then I can’t test until Tuesday!

MyLau · 17/04/2026 14:24

I made my husband hide the tests last Monday to stop me from testing or just to stop thinking about testing. The week went smoother 😂

AnonTTC · 17/04/2026 14:44

Oooo that's really reassuring to know then, thanks @Peonies94. I have to say, hope this isn't TMI but when they induced a bleed to start this cycle, it was almost nothing!! So I'd imagine our theory is correct that I started from a very low base - makes logical sense I guess? Hopefully that means I'm just taking a little longer to get there then. I did have a baseline scan pre-bleed but I didn't ask what that was measuring because I wasn't sure if it was relevant and also was scared to know in case they said I started at like 4mm or something and then I would spiral thinking it had barely grown 🤣

Hopefully if we do need any more rounds I'll be starting from my more usual baseline moving forwards and this is a one off.

Good luck for testing tomorrow @MyLau - the anxiety really builds up if you wait for 9DPT+ to test so I'm sure you can't wait to know one way or the other. Will keep everything crossed it's a positive for you :)

MarG88 · 17/04/2026 15:24

Good luck @MyLau ! I am 9 days post transfer but I am testing on Sunday! I am tempted to do it tomorrow though! It’s been a looooonh weeeek

Ivfchat · 17/04/2026 15:50

Hcg came back at 575 today (10dp5dt) .. so I feel like that could be 1 or 2? Most likely 1 strong 1 I think? Any thoughts? My head is fried 🤪

Ivfchat · 17/04/2026 22:15

@MyLau good luck in the morning! Hope it’s a lovely BFP ❤️

Peonies94 · 17/04/2026 22:23

@AnonTTC yes this theory makes total sense and I’m sure that’s what has happened, in which case the patches should have done the trick! Fingers crossed.

@MyLau good luck testing. Good idea with hiding tests. I’m a serial early tester, but have put them in my Amazon basket and holding off of ordering for now. I do want to test before going back to work next week though so may test Tuesday, just to give myself an idea. Is this your first transfer? Best of luck, let us know how you get off.

Peonies94 · 17/04/2026 22:25

@Ivfchat thibk it’s hard to say but everything crossed it’s good news for you. When will your scan be?

Impatientlywaiting321 · 18/04/2026 01:11

Hi,

I hope you all don’t mind me joining. Congrats to those of you with positives already!

I’m due to have my third medicated FET on Monday (20th). Previous two (untested) FETs resulted in miscarriages (both at 6 weeks) last year.

As well as the usual meds for a medicated FET I am also on Celexane blood thinners, prontogest inter muscular injections, asprin and prednisolone following a miscarriage screening in January that showed up a blood clotting disorder.

Although my protocol has now been changed to help with the blood clotting disorder and the embryo has been tested this time I’m just still so terrified that I’m going to have my heart broken all over again (with either it not working or another loss).

Best of luck to everyone with upcoming transfers!

SunshineCorazon24 · 18/04/2026 09:37

I feel you @Impatientlywaiting321. It's pretty terrifying to start again doesn't it? Personally, after going through a miscarriage last year, I feel like I'm approaching this again with heightened sense of worry and a fully-guarded heart.

All the best with your FET on Monday. It feels like this group is filled with positivity, and I take that as a good sign for all of us. :)

Yes first FIV, first TEC....and first positive test ever this morning 🥰

Peonies94 · 18/04/2026 15:47

@MyLau amazing, congratulations!!

@Impatientlywaiting321 sorry to hear I can totally relate you definitely go into the transfer with a heightened sense of worry! @SunshineCorazon24

Ivfchat · 18/04/2026 16:01

@MyLau yaaaaay amazing! That’s 3 positives on this thread now… hoping the rest are as positive too!

lets hope it’s all plain sailing from here on for you and that you can relax and enjoy it all 🥰
