April FET 2026

Pregnant4456 · 01/04/2026 21:24

I have just started spotting so expecting tomorrow to be CD1 of our FET round.

Doing a modified natural cycle with Letrozole and a trigger.

We will be transferring a PGT tested 4AA embryo so I am hopeful it works after our fresh transfer failed in Feb. Doing IVF due to tubal factor as both tubes removed from previous ectopic pregnancies.

Just to make the whole process more stressful we are going on holiday to Greece 6 weeks today - a bit too close for comfort to check pregnancy placement before we go away - but for the moment, we are planning to continue with our FET.

Anyone doing a FET in April too that wants to join and chat?

Sorry all, dropped off here a little as was having a bit of a wobbly week so tried to distract myself from everything. Following our loss earlier this year we have had a lot of our close friend's announce their pregnancies, which is obviously amazing for them but they are all due around the time we would have been so is it a constant reminder of land markers/milestones we would have been enjoying ourselves. I know we need to focus on our own journey, but I think I am finding it particularly hard this week. I will be fine though! I need to remember that this transfer really could be the magic one and things could all change very quickly ✨🤞

Hope you are all doing well in your TWW following transfers. I do find it crazy that the clinic asks us to wait TWO WEEKS to test.. particularly when you're already technically 5DPO. I think this time I will probably make it to 7/9DPT and then test. Like you said @Ivfchat I think even if you don't test it can have it's own cons so got to do what's right for you at the end of the day! Hoping that transferring in sunny Spring vs. the dark depths of Winter will make for a more pleasant TWW haha xx

Bubbles14 · 09/04/2026 10:40

So sorry to hear this @AnonTTCcan’t imagine how tough that must be, thinking of you ❤️. I can relate partly to this as i currently have 22 friends and family pregnant with several of my best friends due in new few weeks and hard not to make comparisons of where we should be but we are still no way near. Feels like pregnancy/babies are the topic of every convo so have had to step back from several friendships which can be isolating.

I agree about two weeks being such a long time! My partner is adamant we should wait until 11dpt as our clinic advised to avoid disappointment but I don’t think I can wait that long 😬. True spring is time of new beginnings so hopefully true for us all too! ☀️🐣

AnonTTC · 09/04/2026 10:56

Aww yes - that is a lot!! I think that is equally as hard. No matter what your experience has been in this journey, I think infertility just shines a light on what we want/don't have that comes to others so easily doesn't it? And I can really relate to what you're saying because unfortunately I do feel some resentment towards my friends at the moment, but also feel like I'm at quite a low point where I want/need them so it is tricky to navigate for sure. I am just PRAYING that we get another positive test soon (followed by a healthy pregnancy) so we can join them rather than feeling left out - and hope the same happens for all of you of course! 🤞

Ha, my husband was the same actually - he never understands why I want to deviate from any clinical advice but I'm like YOU don't spend hours researching these things so know it could be detected much sooner 🤣 I do kiiiiind of get why they say wait so long, because at least then the result is certain and takes away any guessing about faint lines or hope one will appear.. but I'm almost certain nobody waits until that date, ha! I don't think I'll test super early, just because I'll drive myself mad no matter what the result and there's something quite nice about living in a 'hope bubble' for a bit, but definitely won't be waiting as long as last time x

Ivfchat · 09/04/2026 14:22

@Bubbles14 ooh what is your ring data telling you!! How many embryos did you get?
Day 2 here.. I’ve been busy all morning so I feel like I’m going slightly less mad than yesterday but still sitting here analysing every feeing or lack of wishing for some sort of sign!

Ivfchat · 09/04/2026 14:25

@AnonTTC hope you are doin ok.. it can feel relentless at times ..
7-9 is a good time to test - actually hcg levels at 7days post transfer can actually be used as a predictor of overall out come .. there is no need for some clinics to wait 2 weeks .. its just their protocol, lots of clinics OTD is day 10!

AnonTTC · 09/04/2026 16:07

Thanks @Ivfchat .. feeling a bit better today luckily. I do find that when I have moments that feel like my lowest/rock bottom, once I reach that point I start to feel better. It's almost like you feel complete despair, let yourself feel it then you're ready to put your brave face back on and keep tackling this! I'm sure if/when this all works out I will look back and wish I didn't worry so much but it's hard when you're in it. Also find it crazy how quickly everything can change.. this could be a very different story for all of us in a matter of weeks.

Glad to hear you're feeling more distracted today, but the TWW is a wait like no other isn't it!? Can't believe we're not even at that stage yet 🤣 You'll know the outcome of this round before I even have my transfer!! x

Ivfchat · 09/04/2026 16:50

@AnonTTC i know right? I was just thinking today this is either going to result in me (hopefully) seeing a heartbeat in a couple of weeks or having to go through the whole thing again. And yeah I will that’s mad .. I’m thinking I’ll know the outcome by Sunday 🤪🤪🤪 cannot think of anything else right now

AnonTTC · 09/04/2026 17:14

Yeah.. crazy really isn't it!? Although funny that most people get that feeling every month!! 🤣 we've ended up having quite a large gap between FET#1 and FET#2 for a variety of reasons, but I'm hoping if we need a 3rd (or more) the gaps won't be as large moving forwards. I feel like a whole season has passed and nothing has happened!!

Ahhh Sunday!!? Not long at all. Will that put you at 5DPT?

Bubbles14 · 09/04/2026 17:48

Ah @Ivfchatthe day after the transfer, that evening oura said I had raised heart rate and bbt but I also didn’t sleep very well so who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️. All back to normal now and can’t stop over analysing every sensation which I don’t think is helpful eek. I took my trigger not long ago, does anyone know how long the hcg stays in your system?

We ended up with two day 5s and two day 6s to freeze and transferred the best quality embryo on Monday, what about you?! They said on day 3 that we’d be lucky to get one so was a bit of a miracle. Has anyone else noticed anything in their body?

Bubbles14 · 09/04/2026 17:50

glad your feeling a bit better @AnonTTCand agree really hoping we’ll be able to join everyone soon! 🤞🏻✨✨

Pregnant4456 · 09/04/2026 18:54

Welcome to all those people who have joined!

I have gone into a bit of a deep hole the last few days. Our scan is tomorrow to see if the letrozole has worked and I have a dominant follicle (I have unpredictable cycles) in order to get closer towards transfer.

I am on CD9 tomorrow and whilst I feel like I have felt a couple of twinges, not many other symptoms so I am not feeling hopeful.

Our holiday is booked in just under 5 weeks so if we can’t transfer at a predictable time and the cycle goes on longer than desired, we will have to transfer the cycle.

I am feeling very negative this evening and I think I am a long way off ovulating 😢 xx

Ivfchat · 09/04/2026 19:28

@AnonTTC when was your last FET?
well let’s hope you won’t be moving on to FET no.3

yeah Sunday will put me at 5 days.. I had clear positives on day 5 last on my successful cycle .. but in reality I’ll be lucky to get past tomorrow without testing and I certainly won’t make it past Saturday .. I’m useless … I did test yesterday to make sure my trigger shot is gone and it was so ..
when I’ve taken high doses of the trigger shot on fresh cycles it’s shown up on tests til day 2 or 3 I think.
@Pregnant4456 i really hope your scan tomorrow brings good news and can help you ease into this cycle … you just never know do you until you see what the scans / bloods say but fingers crossed … it’ll be rubbish if you have to reschedule .. but you never know tomorrow could bring encouraging news 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

AnonTTC · 10/04/2026 10:04

Ah good luck with your scan today @Pregnant4456 .. I was on Letrozole for a while last year and I had very up and down responses to it as well. Some months I would ovulate and some months I wouldn't - very frustrating!! Hope you've got a nice, dominant follicle there today and you can have a more concrete plan in place. The uncertainty throughout this process really is the most stressful part I think so I can imagine it's been causing quite a lot of anxiety the last few days. We're here if you ever need to chat! One thing I did wonder was why your clinic aren't open to doing a fully medicated cycle if your cycles are a bit unpredictable? Mine have always been fully medicated and it takes away that anxiety around whether or not I will ovulate.

My last FET was in December @Ivfchat , so feels SO long ago and like the seasons have fully changed and nothing has happened since. I do need to remind myself that we did have a pregnancy/loss in that time though so give myself a bit of a break. Think I am just feeling a little impatient at the moment but I guess this process is not something to be rushed and maybe the extra time was good for me to heal a bit and get back into a headspace to go again.

Hope you're all doing well! 💕

Ivfchat · 10/04/2026 10:14

@AnonTTC its even more shit when you go through all this and loss on top.. so unfair. Hopefully that bit of a break did your body good even if not your mind.. and ready to go again.

I tested this morning even though I 100% knew I shouldn’t and that it would be negative but I went ahead anything and feel even worse.. I don’t know why I did it when I knew it would be too early and knowing I’d feel like crap.. I need to get out and about today to keep busy otherwise I’m going to lose my mind .. oh I hate this bit

Pregnant4456 · 10/04/2026 13:48

So the outcome of my scan is in. Not terrible news but not great news.

CD9 and I had a folical at just shy of 12mm which suggests is now dominant and growing accordingly. My lining however was only 3.9mm which is very low for me. My lining is normally always very good and has never been a problem.

Consultant said the thinness of the lining is probably because of the temporary reduction in estrogen and should catch up pretty quickly over the next few days. Scan again on Monday which would be CD12.

@AnonTTC Thank you for your experience of letrozole. I wish they had given my a higher dose to be honest but hoping that what they saw was a dominant folical. I recon they never considered a fully medicated cycle for me because I have been pregnant lots of times naturally before (just resulted in losses for various reasons) so I have a proven track record of implantation successfully working with my natural hormones.

I do wish I however had the certainty of a medicated cycle but then equally would get worked up and would probably have blamed that if it hadn’t worked.

So whilst not the same stress of waiting as you guys over the weekend, the next few days until my scan are going to feel like a lifetime!

@Ivfchat I am sorry you had a negative. The way your mind plays with you with the waiting game is torture! Finding ways to keep busy is best but equally very much easy said than done!

xx

Hi All :)

Im on my second fully medicated frozen transfer, couldnt have a fresh as I got quite bad OHSS so had a frozen which failed, and had my second yesterday on the 9th of April! Official test date is 23rd I think but there’s just no way I’m waiting until then! I think I’ll test around 7dp5dt which will be the 16th!

hope everyone is feeling ok - I’m feeling shattered and fed up with sticking cyclogest up my bum but other than that I feel pretty normal! No cramping or sore breasts as of yet, praying so hard for this work for all of us.

sending lots of love out there xxx

Ivfchat · 11/04/2026 10:18

@AnonTTC oooh I hope your scan on Monday is good.. would the letrozole interfere with your lining? I’m not familiar with using that… it could come up over 7 by Monday 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 do some light walks to help the blood flow? Plenty of fluids …

I tested this morning … BFP on a first response, premom and easy@home … I’m not even sure I have words.. it’s hard to believe … from the depths of despair yesterday to a nice looking postive for 4dpt is blowing my mind a little … but please God this will be ok … 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Pregnant4456 · 11/04/2026 17:23

@Ivfchat so the letrozole temporarily reduces estrogen to kick start your folical growing. So, the poor lining could be linked to my lower estrogen earlier in my cycle than normal. I don’t normally have an issue with my lining, it’s normally pretty thick but obviously I have never taken Letrozole before so you never know the impact. They said that as I normally have a good lining it shows I respond well to estrogen so hopefully even though it is kicking in later in than normal for me, they are hopeful it will thicken up.

I am still preparing myself for cancellation of the cycle even though the clinic didn’t say that this may happen yet. Just thinking of worst case scenario!

On a more exciting topic - big congratulations for you! You must be chuffed - that is a very early positive! Are you going to continue to test? It’s lovely to have a bit of good news so early on this thread!!!

Good luck on Monday @Pregnant4456!

Ah wow that’s amazing news, huge congratulations @Ivfchat!! Really pleased for you ✨ I’ve had pretty bad period cramps and chills all day today (5dp5dt) so think we are most likely out but going to try and wait a bit longer to test

Ivfchat · 11/04/2026 21:45

@Bubbles14 the period cramps where what made me test at 4am this morning - I would take period cramps as a good sign! Hopefully you’re right there with me but just don’t know it yet!! Don’t let me be a bad influence with the testing .. I’m a lost cause!

Ivfchat · 11/04/2026 22:28

@Pregnant4456 aaah that really does sound like the reason .. do they add oestrogen supplementation in now? Sorry if you’ve already said that, if your oestrogen rises nicely your lining might look good on Monday .. just one more day to wait! I hope it works out so you can get your transfer scheduled!
I’ll test away now till I get some bloods done on Friday .. the tests look good actually - though I have the fear going to sleep now that I got carried away with excitement and that things will change tomorrow … but for now at least we are off to a good start..

taytay2020 · 13/04/2026 08:08

Hey everyone, can I join you? I'm doing a natural FET this cycle, although I'm only on CD3 right now so it's looking like my actual FET will creep into May.

We're trying for DC2 and have 3 frozen embryos to try. DS was a fresh transfer so I've not been through this process before. I'm weirdly chill about it but I guess that's because I'm not doing anything yet! Just waiting to start my ovulation tests on day 9, then I take progesterone after my ovulation scan. It's weird to think that by this point last time I was 2 weeks into norethisterone and 3 days into stims!

I'm a good girl, no early testing for me. 🤣 Even last time when I figured out the day before the official test date that my OHSS started exactly at the point the egg would have implanted so I was 99% sure I was pg.

Good luck everyone!

Pregnant4456 · 13/04/2026 10:28

Welcome @taytay2020 How old is your DS? Best of luck with your cycle! I am only a bit ahead of you on CD12 today.

I had a good bit of news this AM. Lining was just about good enough (about 7.5mm) and my folical was large enough to trigger so we trigger at 7pm tonight with my transfer booked in for 20th. I start pessaries at a very specific time on Wednesday!

Consultant said that they could leave my lining a couple of more days to develop but then they run the risk of me ovulating on my own and then they don’t control the timing of the transfer as well.

According to our clinic, my OTD would be Friday 1st May

Going to try and relax over the next few days as ultimately we now know it’s going ahead before the mos scarier wait to see if it has worked!

@Ivfchat - How is your testing going?

xx

AnonTTC · 13/04/2026 11:04

Morning everyone.. hope you all had lovely weekends.

Firstly, congratulations @Ivfchat - so pleased for you!! What a relief. Hope you are really pleased and feeling hopeful ❤️

Also, great to hear your scan went well this morning @Pregnant4456 - you must feel super relieved too!? We are transfer twins!! My scan is actually tomorrow so that all relies on my lining being thick enough but keeping my fingers crossed it will be fine as it was fine last time. My OTD is also 1st May, and funnily enough we have been given that date to move house too 🤣 big day!!

The closer my transfer gets, the more nervous I am getting about having another early loss but I am trying to get it out of my head. We discovered I have raised TPO Antibodies after my last cycle/loss but my consultant recommended doing nothing this time around because my thyroid levels are fine and the miscarriage obviously could have been random. Just makes me super nervous that we are going in with exactly the same process.. although my clinic have said they will monitor my thyroid very closely so we can intervene if at any point my levels differ x

Pregnant4456 · 13/04/2026 11:24

@AnonTTC Yes I did think that you had said you were most likely the 20th! That’s nice to be potentially on the same day.

What time is your scan tomorrow?

If this transfer doesn’t work I will deffo be pushing for a medicated cycle next time. The letrozole has clearly worked for me but I would have liked my lining to be thicker which is most likely down to the affects of letrozole. We have solved one problem by making another issue a borderline problem! Although I appreciate that 7-8mm is ok for them to proceed so happy to trust them.

What are your plans for transfer day? I have been trying to decide what I do. Was considering working as mine is so late in the day but I don’t think I will be able to concentrate so going to take the day off and maybe go to the cinema.

My husband won’t be able to attend the transfer due to work but my mum is going to come with me I think!

Me and my husband discussed yesterday and I think we are going to hold off testing early but may do it one day before OTD just so we know the likely outcome.

xx
