April FET 2026

I have just started spotting so expecting tomorrow to be CD1 of our FET round.

Doing a modified natural cycle with Letrozole and a trigger.

We will be transferring a PGT tested 4AA embryo so I am hopeful it works after our fresh transfer failed in Feb. Doing IVF due to tubal factor as both tubes removed from previous ectopic pregnancies.

Just to make the whole process more stressful we are going on holiday to Greece 6 weeks today - a bit too close for comfort to check pregnancy placement before we go away - but for the moment, we are planning to continue with our FET.

Anyone doing a FET in April too that wants to join and chat?

x

How is everyone doing ? I'm done with PIO injection and estradiol, had my 12 weeks scan at 12+5, mesuring 13+3 and looking great. Waiting on the NIPT results impatiently but we will not find the sex before the 20 weeks scan.

Congratulations!! So happy for you

Hey @MyLau Really pleased things are still going well for you. I am 12 weeks today - had my dating scan this PM and all is looking great. Also conveniently our NIPT testing came back the same day, all low risk and we are having another boy which we are very pleased about as I suspect my 3.5 year old would love to have a little brother!

Sending lots of love to everyone!

Glad to hear everyone on this thread is doing well :) I obviously haven't posted in a while but have seen your updates when they have come through!

Apologies to bring up a more sombre topic on a good news thread, but we are now in the process of having tests done for our recurrent loss and so far they have all come back clear! Obviously I am pleased there are no additional issues for us to combat, but it obviously leaves me feeling nervous to try again with the same protocol knowing we had losses at the exact same stages the past 2 times. I know some of you have spoken about your own experience with loss after IVF (and now have children) and I wondered if you ever found a cause or whether it was just a case of carrying on until you had some luck? x

Hey @AnonTTC

Lovely to hear from you. I am one of the ones with many losses. In total I have lost 7 pregnancies and 3 of those were ectopics.

After 2 MCs we had testing done and it all came back clear with the exception that maybe asprin may help me. I still lost further pregnancies on asprin so I don’t think that was the thing that solved our problem.

Whilst I cannot be sure, I think our issues were down to chromosomal issues. This is why I think PGT as part of our IVF protocol worked for us. Half of our tested embryos were genetically abnormal and I am now approaching 14.5 weeks with one of the embryos which came back genetically ok.

Its horrible going into it after multiple losses, but I think for us it was a case of multiple attempts and waiting for the right embryo to come along.

If you have any other questions let me know, sending you lots of love for your next round! Xx

Thank you so much for sharing your experience @Pregnant4456 .. I really do appreciate it because I know it can't be easy revisiting the past trauma of your journey. I know you have shared this before but just reiterating that I am so sorry you've had to go through so much loss to get to the position you are in now, but I am also glad it worked out for you in the end. It really gives me hope that I can potentially have the same strength as you to get there too!

I think when the 2nd loss happened I immediately assumed something must be 'wrong', and I think that comes from a place in us that searches for something to fix but I'm starting to get my head around the fact that potentially we have just had very bad luck. I don't actually have all of my test results back yet, so I don't actually know we are fully 'clear', but the ones we have so far have not suggested anything.

Such a tricky place to be as I know I will be terrified going into another transfer with no big changes protocol wise, but like you've said I am beginning to wonder if this will just be a numbers game for us and a case of trying enough times that we get a successful result. We're not really in a position to PGTA test yet.. we are with the NHS and I'm not sure if I want to unfreeze and refreeze all of our embryos for testing.. I was 31 when we had my egg collection so technically the odds are in our favour, but tbh we have no idea if we potentially carry some sort of genetic disorder (nothing in our families but we haven't had this testing so maybe something I'd consider if we have more losses?). I also guess we could have just been incredibly unlucky that our 2 'best looking' embryos were genetically abnormal and the next will be good? Also seen some theories that some people can only carry certain genders but not sure how much I buy into that.

Keeping everything crossed that our next transfer is 'the one' and the good news is that we can likely go ahead sooner if the tests come back clear 🤞🌈
