Hiya. I’m due to start IVF in March and just wanted to find some people who were going through the same so we can support/ advise eachother! I’m 32 and have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years now and just wanted to meet some people in the same boat!

my bloods are this week and scan next weeks honestly just feel ill thinking about that dreaded silence when they’re trying to locate the pregnancy or find a heartbeat. Trying to just avoid thinking about it all until then 😟

@Quaver9 omg good luck! I can imagine it’s so nerve wracking but hopefully it’ll all be fine! I’m sure if my transfer works I’m gonna be a nervous wreck the entire time tbh.

can anyone help me down from the ledge I’ve worked myself up to.
I think my test from this morning (top test) looks lighter than yesterday’s and I’m panicking that it’s the start of a chemical. I also feel really periody today which really isn’t helping the anxiety….

@Kfish56 I find the pink cheapies are better for line tracking but it’s all so uncertain either way… will your clinic do any bloods for you? What DPT are you now?
id say your tests look the same but perhaps do every other day now so you can see any changes a little more obviously? Easier said than done I know x

Clinic won’t do blood tests so I’m getting a private one tonight and then Wednesday.. I just feel so periody that it’s making me really feel nervous. Xx

@Kfish56 with my successful pregnancy sometimes my lines would look lighter than the previous day and i would be CONVINCED things werent going well. Its so hard in this in between stage i hope things progress for you 🙏

@limebird sorry to hear your update:( will they call tomorrow about the final one?

@Kfish56 I think lines can change between days depending how hydrated you are etc, I wouldn’t look into it too much as they look roughly the same to me! Also I’ve heard people say early pregnancy can feel like period symptoms so that might mean nothing too. However I understand your anxiety. At least if you’re getting a private blood test tonight and Wednesday that will hopefully put your mind to rest 🤞🏻

@LimeBird One things I’ve learnt going through this is you’re allowed to feel however you feel. Nothing is off the table. I do understand getting annoyed at the sympathy though. It’s an emotional rollercoaster.

@Kfish56 - I notice the control line is also darker on the bottom one, could it just be darker dye/more liquid saturation on that test?

thanks @SlinkMcSlink , have to admit I don’t like thinking I’m crap at things, even fertility treatment, so I sometimes revert to being a bit of a brat like I was at school 😂

Aw @SlinkMcSlink my sister is a teacher too, must be such a hard job to juggle with this I imagine. To be fair I didn’t used to be mean to the teachers, just sulk when I couldn’t get it right 😂

Trigger shot done! Even though I watched the video like 3 times today I had trouble drawing up the liquid from the vials so much! Ended up drawing so much air and having to squirt it back into the vial then try again lol. Also even after I got it right, there was a teeny bit left in each vial- I assume that’s okay and expected? Like a few drops worth maybe. Also lost a drop or two getting rid of air bubbles. From what I’ve seen on other threads it’s normal to lose a little bit of the trigger tbh. At least I hope so 😅😬🤞🏻 This one bled way more afterwards than any of my other injections, I think the needle was thicker tbh! Had to use a plaster haha 😂
Feeling a weird mix now of nervous about EC, what if I triggered wrong, what if I ovulate early etc, and then total excitement of how close everything is 😅 like I can’t make my mind up haha

Well done @captainsmal ! I know they are so fiddly aren’t they, I had trouble with lots of air in mine too and had to draw it up again! I’m sure it will be fine, they must allow for a bit of that. You’ve done all you can now, just rest and prepare for Weds x

@LimeBird yeah I’m sure they must account for a little bit being missed, plus I did 10,000iu so high dose anyway! So fiddly though compared to the woman on the video haha 😂 I injected the middle of my stomach this time like below the bellybutton whereas with stims I was doing alternate sides so that may be why it bled a bit as well as I’m not used to injecting there lol
tomorrow is going to go so slowly I think 😅

@LimeBird I'm so sorry for your news. I hope you have a better outcome next cycle.

So we got flooded in and with that our floodway is completely damaged, no way to get out or in, when the water goes down you can walk through the flood way but to actually get to town its over a half hr drive and our ivf clinic is a 2hr drive. The last time this happened we were stuck for a month, if that happens again it looks like we will have to postpone the start of our cycle. Here in Queensland Australia we have just had cyclone Alfred hit the coast and the neighbouring towns have all had flash flooding and our highway out was also closed.

Did another test this morning and wish I hadn’t!! I can’t see any progression in 48 hours 😔

I think these tests only get to that stage and don't progress any more and they are looking really good.

@Kfish56 the lines are good and strong, nothing fading. Do they even get much darker at this point on those tests?
My line is also v dark on my cheapies but it’s not getting darker, not sure it can get much darker so I’m stopping testing now and just waiting for scan. Do you have a date for that?

Ok thank you. I think I need to stop as well but it’s so hard when you’ve experienced loss isn’t it!!
my scan isn’t until 1st April which feels like a lifetime away. I get my first Beta results today and then get the second results on Friday. When do you get your blood work?
I am praying for both of us!!

@Miraclemuma03 thank you so much. After chemicals previously I get so nervous. I’m so sorry that you have the added stress of being flooded, that must be so difficult for you!

@Kfish56 completely understand the test saga! Fingers crossed for your bloods let us know… mine are tomorrow & Fri and scan next Thursday.
ah yes I remember now you saying your scan is a while away, it’s torture isn’t it. Hope you get the reassurance from the bloods x

@Kfish56 I agree I don’t think blue ones will go much darker than that, I think pink dye ones are meant to be better for line progression? Those lines look really good to me anyway
Hopefully your bloods yesterday and tomorrow will give some relief, but yeah must be hard after a loss.

Thanks guys for the good luck for tomorrow! Packing a suitcase this morning then me and DH are travelling over to be closer to the clinic 😊
