Hi @Autumn245 👋🏼 . How exciting that you’re going for a sibling? How old is your other child. Hope everything goes well for you x

Autumn245 · 16/08/2024 21:20

My daughter is now 19 months and a little social butterfly 🦋 would love to see her with a brother or sister

Nosejug · 17/08/2024 10:21

Thanks for your kind words everyone. Just been processing it all, I had a few sad days but am glad to find robustness and feel already ready to try again. We've been approved for a second round on nhs which is brilliant. Just waiting for my body to get back to itself. (Still no sign of LH where normally I'd have a faint line. Anyone else experience that?)

Hope you're all well, and hope you're progressing safely @IVFlife been thinking of you!

2mumlife · 17/08/2024 21:48

@Nosejug Good to hear you’re doing ok and making plans. Is. Never tested LH sorry no experience from me!

@Autumn245 Hi 👋 I’ve got a 23 month old and did a sibling FET transfer in January when DD was 16 months (now 33 weeks pregnant). There is a sibling round thread you might fancy joining, with a few of us on there, as it definitely feels a bit different doing this the second time around. A pre-warning, if you’re lucky enough to be successful again, second pregnancy has felt a lot harder physically. Wishing you the best of luck 🤞 🤞

Hey I've not really been on much as I'm a bit of a ball of nerves in the lead up to this scan this week. I'm feeling pretty exhausted- like my limbs are made of stones, and nauseous.

Hope you are all doing OK.

I was going to ask a questions I'm on 3 400mg progesterone pessaries a day. I'm currently 7+4 now. I do 2 pessaries vaginally and the middles one of the day rectally.

I've been finding the vaginally ones harder to get up high recently! It feels much more swollen inside and really tight. Has anyone else experience this as their pregnancy progressed? I used to be able to get them really far and sort of beside the cervix. Now I feel like I'm poking myself with the pessary all the time. I keep worrying I'm not getting enough progesterone properly. I do lay down for an hour after doing them cos I'm obsessed.

Nice to hear from you @IVFlife . Hope your scan goes well this week. I had the exact same issue with the pessaries (I think I actually asked the same question on this thread). Pretty sure it was like that until 12 weeks. All was fine 😊.

Thanks that's good to know.

Hope this isn't a tmi question. I've not been having sex or anything since preg.

But like thinking about the scan. Will they get the probe thing in ok if I'm this swollen 😂😂 maybe loads of lube?! Oh God I'm glad this is anonymous ha!!

@IVFlife I’m sure they will. Is it definitely an internal scan you’ll have? Mine was an ultrasound and they said they would only do an ultrasound if they needed to double check anything or if they couldn’t see what they needed to.

IVFlife · 25/08/2024 22:30

@ivf24 yeah def internal at our clinic. On official test day they send a leaflet with scan instructions and say they always do internal at 8 week scan and to come with empty bladder.

2mumlife · 26/08/2024 06:07

@IVFlife There are lots of changes to your cervix during pregnancy, it’s all absolutely fine and normal. And they won’t have a problem at all with the internal scan. Wishing you best of luck for your scan! X

ivf24 · 26/08/2024 21:12

Ah right. We didn’t go back to our clinic for our early scan so maybe they would have been the same but we went to our local hospital to save the travelling.
I’m sure it will be absolutely fine 😊

2mumlife · 27/08/2024 11:39

@ivf24 Most places you go back to clinic (I think its because they obviously want to know outcome for their own records) but makes sense to go to somewhere more local when clinic is far away

ivf24 · 27/08/2024 21:07

Yeah they said they we would go back to them for early scan but then when I phoned with my positive, they said we can just get a scan locally and phone with the result so suited us perfectly!

IVFlife · 28/08/2024 15:44

Our baby has died today. Beautiful baby measuring AHEAD of dates but no heart beat. They think the baby has only just died. I am utterly devastated.

We've to go to early pregnancy on Friday.

ivf24 · 28/08/2024 20:06

I’m so sorry to hear this @IVFlife xxxx

Nosejug · 29/08/2024 07:33

Oh @IVFlife im just so sorry to read this. Will be thinking of you x

2mumlife · 29/08/2024 10:24

@IVFlife I'm so sorry to read your update. You are strong, and you will get through this experience. I know it provides very little consolation, but please do remember its nothing you did or didn't do, and as horrible as it is to experience a loss, it generally means baby was not compatible with life and there is nothing anyone could have done differently. Keeping you in my thoughts as you navigate the next few days and weeks. Reach out whenever you need/want x

Ellenn · 29/08/2024 14:30

@IVFlife im so sorry to hear about your baby ❤️ I hope you have support around you and we are all here as well, hugs 🫂 xxxx

IVFlife · 03/09/2024 17:55

Tha k you. Still waiting to actually physically miscarry which is a totally crazy thing to go through. Knowing my body still feels pregnant. I got antisickness from my GP.

We have a lovely baby memory box from nhs hospital.

2mumlife · 04/09/2024 09:27

@IVFlife Can't imagine how hard it is going through the process. Its lovely you've got a memory box. Hope your both going ok x

Kitty12345678 · 12/09/2024 19:28

@IVFlife sorry to hear about your loss. Apologies I’ve not been on here in a while so I have a lot to catch up on. Xxx

LT103 · 17/09/2024 13:33

Hi @Autumn245 similar stage to you. My little boy is 15 months and we’re just about to go for transfer.
We were lucky to have embryos still frozen. they did ask me about thawing them to pgt-a test prior to transfer. Not sure why they’re pushing it now but not in 2022 when we did the collection. We opted not to partly due to cost.
but we have had scans and checks and consents done so just waiting on cd1 which should be in about 2 weeks then it’s transfer prob mid October 😬😬

LT103 · 17/09/2024 13:35

@IVFlife im so so sorry to hear this. Sending you lots of hugs.

Autumn245 · 17/09/2024 20:57

@LT103 I had a scan and consultation yesterday and done consents but have to wait for a nurses appointment before we know when a transfer will happen, so goodness knows when that will be. I hate all the waiting around. Strange they wanted you to pgt-a test, did they give a reason why or is it a standard procedure now?
