Hi 👋

A thread for anyone who wants to discuss their Create Fertility experiences.

I'm 38, have had 3 egg collections with Create (2x natural modified and 1 x mild) and am about to go through my first FET following embryo banking and after having a Hysteroscopy and discovering I have thyroid antibodies...joys of fertility challenges.

Tagging as follows from previous chat, please tag any others I may have forgot.

New joiners to the thread welcome to share your experiences - it's a never ending learning curve for all!

@muddlingthrou
@Sunflower360
I had 1 miscarriage after frest ivf. Then failed fet transfer. Then failed fresh ivf. Now another FET. I am 5dp (tested today around 1 pm). I had afternoon transfer on 19/3/24.
not sure what to think. I am so desperate.
it is also very expensive.

Sunflower360 · 24/03/2024 17:07

@Hollyw128 completely agree this process is rubbish. How old are you? If you haven't testes your embryos (which I haven't either) then it can be process of elimination? Of course uterine environment etc all needs to fit too

@Sunflower360 It was 3BB.

Hollyw128 · 24/03/2024 17:16

I am 32. We also have male factor and low amh.
My hysteroscopy, MRI scan was all okay. I also had blood tests done for recurrent implantation failure - all okay.
i am on steroid and clexane so hoping this was our chance but not sure what to think. So desperate that I even prayed for indent line lol to make myself feel better.

Sunflower360 · 24/03/2024 17:22

@Hollyw128 you definitely have age on your side so hopefully this will work out just fine. Fingers crossed!

having negative tests is so heart breaking. I would not wish infertility on anyone.
maybe not meant to be.

Plantymcplant · 25/03/2024 09:14

@Hollyw128 I have hope it's just too early. They only do the blood test at 9 days past so they must think it's worth waiting till then.

But yes this whole process sucks so much. I try not to think what we could of been doing with all that money if we could conceive naturally

Plantymcplant · 25/03/2024 10:01

@Doxy21 how are you doing? I remember it's your second blood test today. I found going to the clinic for my blood test after my negative test really shit so hope you are ok

Doxy21 · 25/03/2024 11:55

Thanks @Plantymcplant i did wander in and think ‘this is the last time I will ever be here’. I just want the call now so I can stop taking the meds - I think I’m having an allergic reaction to them now! How are you doing?

Plantymcplant · 25/03/2024 12:02

@Doxy21 a bit numb really with the occasional panic about if we would do another egg collection. I don't have any symptoms to give me hope or to feel like it hasn't worked either.

Just in limbo till Thursday trying not to think about the future.

Doxy21 · 25/03/2024 12:10

@Plantymcplant fingers crossed for Thursday 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

Sunflower360 · 25/03/2024 12:18

@Plantymcplant good luck for Thursday! Are you likely to tear before or week you wait until then?

@Doxy21 thinking of you xx @Plantymcplant good luck with the wait hopefully it'll be good news.

Plantymcplant · 25/03/2024 13:46

@Sunflower360 we are going to test Wednesday evening

blahblahetc · 25/03/2024 13:54

Hi all - can I check what day is the FET done in Create? I was just looking at my notes and my 2023 FET was done on day 13... which is surprising given the implantation window should be day 20-24 according to Google?

I just got my ERA results hence the lightbulb question😅

Plantymcplant · 25/03/2024 14:00

@Doxy21 @Sunflower360 @jolly86 Thank you!

muddlingthrou · 25/03/2024 14:42

@blahblahetc - mine was done 18 days after the start of my period

blahblahetc · 25/03/2024 14:48

Thanks for replying @muddlingthrou I'm starting to wonder if that was a mistake on their part now (given they have made so many!).. That was an euploid too, and my first fresh transfer (NHS) worked but didn't stick..

tillyxxx · 25/03/2024 15:16

Hey all! I had my egg collection on Friday. 13 eggs collected, 10 mature and 6 fertilised.
I've had my day 3 update. 2 are normal range, 2 are growing faster than normal and the remaining two did not survive.
I have never heard of embryos growing too fast, has anyone in the group heard this update before. I don't know what to expect for day 5.

Sunflower360 · 25/03/2024 15:46

@blahblahetc my FET was on CD 21. I have to say that does sound early when you had it done...was there a reason for that? Was it a medicated or natural FET?

@titillyxxx I'm not sure about the embryos developing too fast thing, although I appreciate old research may reference that, hence the embryologist mentioning that. I got told the same when it came to selecting an embryo for my first FET, we ended up going for the 'best' grade that was still at cell stage on day 3, as there is another one that is a comparable grade that was compacting on day 3 and deemed to be developing 'too fast' and perhaps better to transfer at a later date if it didn't work (my first FER was a BFN). That latter embryo is the one we will be transferring next and I'm indifferent to whether it was developing 'too fast', so we shall see what it does. These pieces of research was interesting I thought...

What stage was your embryo at that's developing too fast?

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 25/03/2024 15:48

@tillyxxx we had embryoscope done so have footage of each of the blastocysts which is how they know when it compacted etc

OP posts:
tillyxxx · 25/03/2024 15:51

@Sunflower360 I didn't get much more elaboration on the embryos other than that, and when they called I couldn't think of questions to ask. Thank you for those links I will give them a read

blahblahetc · 25/03/2024 16:02

@Sunflower360 It was medicated with estrodial and progesterone... I have emailed the nurse to enquire but she's on leave. Very baffled at the moment, husband is asking me to complain to the HFEA! My precious (once-upon-a-time) euploid!

Sunflower360 · 25/03/2024 16:11

@blahblahetc definitely worth enquiring about. Perhaps try calling? What made them transfer on CD 13?

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 25/03/2024 16:11

@blahblahetc what does your ERA advise?
