Hi 👋

A thread for anyone who wants to discuss their Create Fertility experiences.

I'm 38, have had 3 egg collections with Create (2x natural modified and 1 x mild) and am about to go through my first FET following embryo banking and after having a Hysteroscopy and discovering I have thyroid antibodies...joys of fertility challenges.

Tagging as follows from previous chat, please tag any others I may have forgot.

New joiners to the thread welcome to share your experiences - it's a never ending learning curve for all!

@Sunflower360 all ok. No symptoms. How are you doing?

Sunflower360 · 11/03/2024 12:36

@Doxy21 I'm ok, had very slight brown spotting after one wipe yesterday morning but I think that is too early for anything and it hasn't happened again - I wondered if it was from the FET procedure. Can't say I've noticed anything else as yet

@Sunflower360 that does sound too early for anything indicative to happen. I guess it may be linked to the catheter going in during the FET. @Doxy21 how many days since your transfer?

Sunflower360 · 11/03/2024 13:02

@jolly86 I thought exactly that, it is quite an invasive procedure so would make sense.

Thanks for creating a new thread!

@Sunflower360 @Doxy21 Keeping everything crossed for you ladies, hope you are doing okay.

@VenusStarr Really sorry to read your news, I know how hard that can be. Are you due to have a consult with your doctors, do you think they will make any changes for the next cycle?

After two EC's with nothing to freeze (one mild, one NM), my doc has suggested to repeat the same NM protocol for our final cycle, I pushed him for some change, and he didn't really suggest anything - so I'm taking the month off, and just trying to make healthy choices, started acupuncture etc.

Doxy21 · 11/03/2024 13:25

@jolly86 i am now 4dp5dt. Can’t even symptom spot as nothing to spot haha

Sunflower360 · 11/03/2024 13:25

@gemso2020 Thanks! Just the waiting game but in any case if it doesn't work will just crack on with FET, won't be until April/May though. Good idea to take a break though, I did after the EC's and found it to be helpful before going back in for the FET

@Doxy21 I never noticed anything in my successful/failed cycle.

jolly86 · 11/03/2024 15:57

In neither of failed and successful cycle

Sunflower360 · 11/03/2024 16:34

I'm finding the Progesterone is making me quite tired.... not sure if anyone else had the same?

OP posts:
muddlingthrou · 11/03/2024 16:40

@Sunflower360 - yes! The progesterone hit me like a tonne of bricks. The only thing for it is early nights where you can x

Doxy21 · 11/03/2024 16:40

@Sunflower360 no, it’s making me thirsty. I blame tiredness on not having my usual 5 cups of coffee a day 😢

Sunflower360 · 11/03/2024 16:47

@Doxy21 I've had that too! I've been off caffeine for almost a year now so I'm used to that 😂

I got a date for my transfer. It's next Tuesday!

Sunflower360 · 11/03/2024 21:28

@Plantymcplant that is good news, are you doing natural or medicated FET? Sorry if give already said

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 12/03/2024 06:54

Woop! Good luck @Plantymcplant!

Plantymcplant · 12/03/2024 07:07

@Sunflower360 it's a medicated one

Sunflower360 · 12/03/2024 09:45

@Plantymcplant fingers crossed for you. If you don't mind me asking what grade was your embryo and did you PGTA?

I'm not feeling entirely positive about this transfer, can't say I've noticed any symptoms bar from very slight pulling on day of and day after transfer, and brown spotting day after transfer-since then nothing and I'm pretty sure those symptoms are too soon for anything. Will just see this one through, 3dp5dt at the moment. Already thinking about approaches for the next transfer 🙈 Perhaps should have PGTA'd but I'm on the shelf about it

OP posts:
Plantymcplant · 12/03/2024 11:39

It's 4BB. How about yours?

We didn't do PGTA. For various reasons it's not for me but can see why other go for it

Sunflower360 · 12/03/2024 12:12

5AB not that you'd know with the lack of anything going on right now! I'm convinced it may have been an aneuploid but as you say I'm not sure about PGTA either. If this doesn't work I may push for a double transfer next time round

OP posts:
Maddie23 · 12/03/2024 14:15

@Sunflower360 I'm good thank you!
Been a bit AWOL as my cycle since having EC has been ridiculous. First month I was 50 days late and last month I was 54 days late so completely threw off my FET cycle starting!

Had a random check up scan two weeks ago and everything looked fine, then AF decided to turn up with the worst pain possible.
Started Estrogen last week and had my scan this morning. Lining is above 7mm so transfer is booked for next Tues. Cautiously excited as I don't want to get my hopes high but want to stay positive too?!

How are you doing?

Sunflower360 · 12/03/2024 14:18

@Maddie23 that is good, fingers crossed for you.

I'm ok, I do feel like this transfer hasn't worked though. Not sure just got a feeling (or lack of should I say).

OP posts:
Maddie23 · 12/03/2024 14:25

Thank you @Sunflower360 sticky vibes for you!
Its fairly early for you so wouldn't write it off yet! A friend of mine had a successful cycle recently and had absolutely no symptoms so I feel we just never know!

Sunflower360 · 12/03/2024 14:30

Thanks @Maddie23 It is only 3pd5dt, just conscious inevitably out of the number of embryos we have more will be aneuploid than euploid with me being 38 and in the absence of testing it's trial and error, time will tell! I'm pretty sure the embryo last summer was aneuploid as it led to a chemical but oddly had so many symptoms with that through the HCG which was only at a level of 14 when I had it tested before it ending up in a chemical

OP posts:
jolly86 · 12/03/2024 14:34

@Plantymcplant @Sunflower360 both are great embryos with excellent success rates so fingers crossed for you both x
