Hi 👋

A thread for anyone who wants to discuss their Create Fertility experiences.

I'm 38, have had 3 egg collections with Create (2x natural modified and 1 x mild) and am about to go through my first FET following embryo banking and after having a Hysteroscopy and discovering I have thyroid antibodies...joys of fertility challenges.

Tagging as follows from previous chat, please tag any others I may have forgot.

New joiners to the thread welcome to share your experiences - it's a never ending learning curve for all!

Hey @Minnie213 just wanted to say I was also meant to be doing 3 cycle pgta and icsi, but in the first round none made it to blast, and I decided to cancel the pgta portion. We will need that money for any future treatment, and it was a lot. In fact, for women with very low ovarian reserve, it’s not really recommended to do pgta as you’re unlikely to get many embryos. I’ve had two miscarriages from spontaneous pregnancies (though that’s over about 4 years of trying hence ivf) and one chemical I think. At this point I just want to be pregnant again. Pgta isn’t an exact science of determination and it’s not well regarded by HFEA. Sorry if my opinion comes too late in the game. Perhaps it’s irrelevant to you anyway, I’m unlikely to get even one blast at this point, so obvs I don’t want to spend 5000 and put it at risk. If I had a handful of blasts I’d have done it.

Oh and I meant to add, they told me they’d take a sample of it before freezing, but send all three cell samples away at the same time after the third retrieval. I thought the same as you at first, and was worried about the freeze thaw x2, bu the doctor reassured me that wasn’t the process

Nosejug · 14/09/2025 17:46

I have my own question if anyone’s around to answer. I was told they do a day three and day five update. It’s nearly 6pm on day 5 and no call. I tried to call them but it’s a Sunday. Do they not do embryo updates on Sundays? Shouldn’t they have informed me of that? I’m feeling a lot of anger today (hormone crash maybe, I’m not an angry person) and am not sure it it’s totally reasonable or totally unreasonable to be feeling not okay about not being updated !

HopefulElle · 15/09/2025 09:29

@Nosejug that’s terrible that you were kept waiting like that, I’d be so angry! Waiting for updates is the worst part. I hope they’ve been in touch quickly this morning, and that it was good news x

Nosejug · 15/09/2025 10:02

they were in touch first thing but it wasn’t good news. But thanks very much for your kind reply. They told me they don’t do day 5 updates unless they’re freezing it that day, which is weird because I got a day 5 call last time and was told I’d get a day 5 call this time.

HopefulElle · 15/09/2025 19:04

@Nosejug I’m sure I had day 5 updates too, but then my plan would always have been to freeze. I’m so sorry you didn’t get good news x

Nosejug · 15/09/2025 19:50

@HopefulElle yeah our plan has always been to freeze too, but I threw them a curveball this month of asking for one to be put back considering our results from last time. Waiting for a few replies from our coordinator so it’ll be interesting to see what they say. Thanks again for your reply :)

oh and just to say, I had a real cute moment in St Paul’s the other day, I was in a row of women waiting for various things and suddenly we were all chatting. It made me so happy I always want to talk to all my comrades but obvs it might not be appropriate so usually wind my chat in. In case that’s any of you here :)

Hi ladies, bit random but did anyone use vaginal suppository probiotics leading up to a transfer? If so, which ones and how did you get them in the UK? I've heard VagiBiom are good but I think you can only get them in the US.

Which prebiotic tablets did you use, if any, as well?

Thanks and good luck all x

@GingerRCDI used tablets and read these were good for vaginal balance etc lactobacillus is the key thing to look for if I recall correctly. These are expensive but worth the investment I believe

As for suppositories at the time I had the FET that worked they were low in stock I didn't use them.

Hi ladies, I have my first transfer tomorrow. Eeek! I'd like to to try to have acupuncture afterwards. Does anyone know of anywhere to get this near the St Paul's clinic, please? Thanks x

tillyxxx · 11/11/2025 19:55

I have requested my embryo biopsies to be sent off for genetic testing today. Has anyone done PGTA and how long did you have to wait for the results?

Sunflower360 · 03/12/2025 15:09

@GingerRCD@tillyxxxhow have you both got on?

OP posts:
tillyxxx · 03/12/2025 17:26

@Sunflower360It surprisingly only took a week for us to get our genetics results and we have 5 embryos we can transfer. We signed up for a 3 cycle package but unsure whether to go ahead with the third and final round as we are desperate to try again after losing our daughter last year. Tough decisions! X

Disneybride · 03/12/2025 20:43

Unfortunately I never got far enough to comment further. On my initial scan they found a mass in my cervical canal that they need to treat first - suspected cancer.

bay due to the rest of you though!

Sunflower360 · 04/12/2025 09:15

@tillyxxxthat's good news, good luck with the fets!
