Hi 👋

A thread for anyone who wants to discuss their Create Fertility experiences.

I'm 38, have had 3 egg collections with Create (2x natural modified and 1 x mild) and am about to go through my first FET following embryo banking and after having a Hysteroscopy and discovering I have thyroid antibodies...joys of fertility challenges.

Tagging as follows from previous chat, please tag any others I may have forgot.

New joiners to the thread welcome to share your experiences - it's a never ending learning curve for all!

@Maddie23 I've just asked about medicated, I'm wondering if that may actually be worth trying this time upon reflection - bit nervous in case I didn't ovulate or if my lining was not optimal...out of control in a natural FET albeit this last one appeared ok. When did you have your Progesterone tested and how many days were you on it before testing? Also what were your levels?

@VenusStarr are you looking to have a month break? Hope you're ok

@VenusStarr glad you've had a fruitful meeting with the consultant and you are feeling more optimistic

Goodluck @Plantymcplant @Maddie23

@Doxy21 I hope you are managing the wait :)

Maddie23 · 20/03/2024 13:57

@Sunflower360

Started it last Thurs and had it tested yesterday before the transfer.

Just got a call today that it was 42.5 and they like it above 30 so were happy with me just carrying on with Utrogestan 3 times a day as I have been.

Thank you @jolly86 trying to distract myself but not much to do as I've taken the week off from work!

Sunflower360 · 20/03/2024 14:09

@Maddie23 thanks, hope the tww is going ok! @Doxy21 hope your week is going ok, at least you can tear on Friday when your FRERs arrive

I was going to change to medicated FET but have decided to stick with natural FET as the Dr was happy with how everything looked so really left it up to me if I wanted a controlled cycle instead. If this next FET doesn't work then I'll consider medicated FET....will see how it goes, suppose natural is a bit of gamble as you can't be sure it'll go how you want it but it is perhaps worth giving it another go in case it was just the embryo. Have also just had a polyp removed not long ago so want to avoid another one of those with excess meds!

Does anyone know when baby aspirin is normally added? I think the Dr said 75mg day 2? But I can't remember for sure. I got advised to try that this time

@Doxy21 Oh my goodness, wonderful news. I can understand why you are feeling cautious, but the clinic must be confident to have told you such news. Even so, keeping everything crossed for you! It's lovely to read some positive news 💛

Doxy21 · 20/03/2024 19:52

Thank you @gemso2020 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Sunflower360 · 21/03/2024 16:17

Just a tip, ladies....check your invoices and don't pay over the odds for Progesterone or Prednisolone when doing a FET. Stork were charging £14 for a £2 box of medication (Prednisolone) so I've got a private prescription for those 2 bits from the clinic to get from my local pharmacy

OP posts:
muddlingthrou · 22/03/2024 10:48

@Sunflower360 - eek, that is such a good tip, as I've gone the stork route and have no doubt been ripped off 🤦🏽‍♀️

Sunflower360 · 22/03/2024 10:54

@muddlingthrou well I rang the clinic and they admitted Stork inflate their costs due to delivery at which point she said they can do a private prescription which I've gone for, I'm just collecting the Ovitrelle from the clinic, other bits from my local pharmacy

Just an update from me - did and at home test today and it’s negative so that’s definitive!

muddlingthrou · 23/03/2024 07:43

So sorry @Doxy21 xx

Doxy21 · 23/03/2024 07:57

Thanks @muddlingthrou

Plantymcplant · 23/03/2024 07:58

@Doxy21 I'm so sorry :(

Doxy21 · 23/03/2024 08:48

Thanks @Plantymcplant im strangely not feeling sad. Maybe because I have an answer 🤷🏽‍♀️ or I know it’s possible or I’m at peace that my ivf journey is over. Who knows.

Sunflower360 · 23/03/2024 08:48

@Doxy21 sorry to hear that. Hopefully you can take some positivity in it in that it did stick and implant so there is a chance for any future attempts

Plantymcplant · 23/03/2024 11:25

@Doxy21 I'm glad you are feeling ok about it all. The uncertainty of infertility is definitely such a horrible draining experience. I can understand how an answer even when it's not the one we are hoping for can be a good thing

Plantymcplant · 23/03/2024 11:27

I am 4 days post transfer. I'm not going to test until the day before the blood test. I feel so panicked though. This is our second and last embryo so it's quite stressful to think we will be back at the start if it doesn't work. I don't know if we have the money and mental/physical capacity to do it again. I found egg collection really really hard tbh

Sunflower360 · 23/03/2024 11:47

@Plantymcplant the tww is probably the worst I found as it feels like you've built up to that moment, so I completely get it. Sorry, as you may have already said, was your embryo tested/ what grade was it? If this is your second transfer then hopefully it'll be the one.

I'm so sorry @Doxy21

Hollyw128 · 24/03/2024 15:37

Hi ladies
I also had transfer at create on 19/3/24 (in the afternoon).
so today i am 5dp5dt (FET) , clear blue stark white :(
someone please give me hope. I am going mad.

muddlingthrou · 24/03/2024 16:28

Hi @Hollyw128 - I didn't test until OTD (no idea how I managed it, but think I was so scared of a negative) but I think 5 days is still super early days so I wouldn't panic! Lock any remaining tests up and try and focus on being PUPO if you can x

Sunflower360 · 24/03/2024 16:28

@Hollyw128 if you can, try and stay positive as it is still early days. Some people see positives on 7dp5dt, and you may find the link below useful to get some ideas of %
www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=10

Is this your first transfer? What are your circumstances to date? I've just had a failed 1st FET, (hopefully) going straight into my 2nd FET if ovulate etc and lining is ok as I'm doing natural FET
