Hi 👋

A thread for anyone who wants to discuss their Create Fertility experiences.

I'm 38, have had 3 egg collections with Create (2x natural modified and 1 x mild) and am about to go through my first FET following embryo banking and after having a Hysteroscopy and discovering I have thyroid antibodies...joys of fertility challenges.

Tagging as follows from previous chat, please tag any others I may have forgot.

New joiners to the thread welcome to share your experiences - it's a never ending learning curve for all!

@Sunflower360 No phone calls with them, everytime I speak to them I get high blood pressure😅I'll have to wait for her return next week, she is usually very prompt. Although I'm not so sure now that we are no longer their customers I might get ignored.. (just waiting to transport my embryos before cutting ties completely!).

It's day 20 and leaning towards pre-receptive per results. Again, looking back at my old notes: the first ET was day 21, second FET was day 13, and third ET was day 22 so the day 13 is very very off!

@blahblahetc when did you have your scan and start Progesterone, was that CD 7 if your transfer was CD 13?

@tillyxxx another slightly shorter article... I'm actually struggling to find one that supports that fast growing embryos are bad...

@Sunflower360 Yes, that’s right. Day 7 scan and start progesterone on day 8… is it normal then?

tillyxxx · 25/03/2024 19:12

Thank you @Sunflower360 and Wednesday I'll get a clearer picture and can discuss more in person. They don't disclose much over the phone I feel

Sunflower360 · 25/03/2024 19:17

@blahblahetc well I'm not sure tbh, I suppose you do hear of stories where people ovulate whilst still on their period so I suppose they could implant on a day like CD 13, but if your cycle is not normally like that then your body/endometrium would not have been ready to 'receive' the embryo, suppose that is what the ERA test establishes. But if you had transfers on later CD's in other cycles it would definitely be worth understanding why and what impact transferring on CD 13 could have had, suppose they based it on lining thickness? I by no means am medically qualified of course, but it does seem quite unusual from what I've read in terms of ideal transfer days

Thanks @Sunflower360 I wish I had researched more about ‘implantation window’ etc. prior to that transfer. I was really just trusting them without questions at that point in time (it was only my first cycle with them)..

I am also quite a “textbook” case I think, everything seemed ok so the tiniest bit may get neglected.

Plantymcplant · 25/03/2024 19:56

Your endometrium needs progesterone to be ready for the embryo. On average we need 5 days worth of progesterone so the window of implantation is from day 5 to day 8.

This test is to see if your endometrium needs more or fewer days of progesterone to be ready.

The fact that you started progesterone on day 8 doesn't really matter as long as the lining was thick enough and you had 5 days of progesterone before the transfer.

Plantymcplant · 25/03/2024 20:01

At least that was how it was explained toe

Plantymcplant · 25/03/2024 20:01

to me

Hollyw128 · 25/03/2024 22:58

Can we transfer embryos to a different clinic ?

muddlingthrou · 26/03/2024 07:10

@Hollyw128 - do you mean a different Create clinic or a non-Create clinic? Pretty sure you can do either though there are costs involved, I know someone that transferred embryos internationally and that was ££££!

Maddie23 · 27/03/2024 16:44

Good luck @Plantymcplant if you're testing today xxx

Plantymcplant · 27/03/2024 20:12

@Maddie23 are you testing today as well?
I just took a test. It's positive SmileSmile

However it's quite faint and looks a lot like my tests when I miscarried at 5 weeks. Keeping everything crossed for the blood test tomorrow and hope hope hope it will work.

But very happy to be pregnant again after so long

muddlingthrou · 27/03/2024 21:06

Congratulations @Plantymcplant!!! Willing everything to stay on a positive track for you xx

Maddie23 · 27/03/2024 21:29

Ahhhh I'm so happy for you @Plantymcplant
Keeping everything crossed for you!

So my OTD is 1st April...wonder why our dates are so far apart. Managed to convince the husband to test this Sunday though 🤞

Plantymcplant · 27/03/2024 21:40

@Maddie23 @muddlingthrou Thankyou!

jolly86 · 27/03/2024 22:46

@Plantymcplant that s amazing, hopefully your blood test is also fine. X

Sunflower360 · 28/03/2024 07:08

Congratulations @Plantymcplant ! A positive is a positive as hcg can vary person to person

Plantymcplant · 28/03/2024 16:15

Got my blood test results. They said jts above 50 so the next step is to wait for the scan in 2.5 weeks. Smile

Sunflower360 · 28/03/2024 16:52
