Hi 👋

A thread for anyone who wants to discuss their Create Fertility experiences.

I'm 38, have had 3 egg collections with Create (2x natural modified and 1 x mild) and am about to go through my first FET following embryo banking and after having a Hysteroscopy and discovering I have thyroid antibodies...joys of fertility challenges.

Tagging as follows from previous chat, please tag any others I may have forgot.

@muddlingthrou hope your scan went ok today?

@Doxy21 hope you're ok? I ended up testing today with a cheapie and low and behold it was negative. But definitely sure the trigger is no longer in my system, in any case does not look good. I only tested today as I had nausea last night which I struggled to sleep with, so I wondered this morning, hence testing to stop myself living in cloud cuckoo land if it was negative which it was. I do wonder if it was the Progesterone but I haven't had the nausea today so it's really odd, if it was the Progesterone surely it would be constant. Anyway will ride it out until OTD now, I'm 5dp5dt at the moment but seen as I'm back to no symptons again I would be surprised if anything changed. Already got in touch with Create about having a follow up with the Dr hopefully next week as I want to restart this coming cycle if I can do natural FET again without the need of further tests, of course if I get advised otherwise I'll take the month to do what's needed test wise etc but what I don't want to do is take a break for admin reasons.

@Sunflower360 - thank you for remembering. All went well - managed to see a heartbeat. So relieved and hoping for no more dramatic gushes of blood 🤞🏽

You sound v.proactive! It's not over until OTD, so I'll remain hopeful for you. But I understand you wanting to get on and try an alternative. Wishing you all the luck xx

Sunflower360 · 14/03/2024 19:53

@muddlingthrou that's good news, bet you're relieved.

I'm generally quite proactive, but now I've got through the ECs I kind of just want to get on with it... I've already had some of the usual investigatory tests done: miscarriage ones (found out I had thyroid antibodies) and Hysteroscopy (which I think included a scrape as the Dr referred to 'smoothing' my lining due to adhesions, as well as removing a polyp and widening my cervix). I'm not really sure what else could be suggested in my circumstances bar from trial and error with the embryos frozen.

@muddlingthrou thanks for the positivity though!

@Sunflower360 it’s still early for you though isn’t it? I won’t test til official test day. I’ve been out every eve this week so keeping myself as busy as I can

Sunflower360 · 14/03/2024 22:16

@Doxy21 it is slightly, but I don't know, just have a feeling, I'll see how it goes. Think I'm trying to manage my expectations more than anything in the likelihood it definitely doesn't work

Doxy21 · 14/03/2024 23:55

@Sunflower360 that makes sense

@muddlingthrou glad the scan went well!

Hey! I started my first IVF cycle with Create St Paul’s this week and an NHS patient. I’m doing mild IVF and ICSI. I’m 34 and having IVF due to male factor infertility.
I’ve found a lot of your experiences really helpful to understand the process so thank you!

Sunflower360 · 15/03/2024 12:39

@tillyxxx Hi! How far into the cycle are you? Hope it goes well

tillyxxx · 15/03/2024 12:44

@Sunflower360 I had my day 6 scan this morning and the doctor said I may need to increase my dosage, I'm on 200 gonal f currently

Doxy21 · 15/03/2024 16:51

Good luck @tillyxxx!

Sunflower360 · 15/03/2024 18:08

@VenusStarr how are you? Hope you're ok

@Maddie23 hope your TWW is going ok, you a few days in? @Doxy21 hope you're doing ok too

Doxy21 · 15/03/2024 18:29

@Sunflower360 I’m just trying to be positive and telling myself it has worked

Maddie23 · 15/03/2024 19:35

Hey @Sunflower360
Not started my TWW yet! Transfer will be taking place on Tues.

Sunflower360 · 15/03/2024 19:35

@Maddie23 sorry of course!

I'm pretty sure its BFN this FET for me did a FRER this morning 7dp5dt (what I originally planned to do before the cheapies a few days ago 😂) and its a negative, they pick up really low levels so it's quite definitive.

Crazy how you respond can vary - when I had the natural chemical last summer I'm pretty sure that was aneuploid/chromosome issues then this time it didn't even implant (again likely aneuploid/chromosome issues), but I suppose it varies on each set of circumstances.

Got my review with Dr on Weds anyway so will see what is advised in relation to next steps, any tips on what I should ask/ bring up would be much appreciated! I'm hoping I can go straight into another FET

Caved and took an at home test today - negative 😞 at least I got to try and can move on now I guess

muddlingthrou · 17/03/2024 09:21

I'm sorry @Doxy21 and @Sunflower360 that this transfer doesn't seem to have worked for you, it's so disappointing. I hope you have some nice plans this weekend to keep your minds off things xx

Sunflower360 · 17/03/2024 09:22

@Doxy21 so sorry, hope you're ok, allow yourself time to process - its a lot to take in. Have you got a follow up with the Dr scheduled?

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 17/03/2024 09:23

@muddlingthrou thanks. Will just see what v the Dr advises as next steps, I've got my follow up on Weds

OP posts:
Plantymcplant · 17/03/2024 09:24

@Sunflower360 I'm sorry you got a negative. I hope you are allowed to do the next transfer straight away. Hope you are ok!

Sunflower360 · 17/03/2024 09:27

@Plantymcplant thanks. I'm hoping so as I've only had Ovitrelle which is out of my system and Progesterone which is pretty standard and some people take outside of ivf anyway. I'm going to push for that anyway, I don't want unnecessary delays if possible

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 17/03/2024 09:33

@Doxy21 how many embryos have you transferred overall? Would you consider another cycle? It is so much to think about, I myself have considered another collection if these don't work but not 100% yet

OP posts:
Maddie23 · 17/03/2024 09:56

I'm so sorry @Sunflower360 and @Doxy21
I hope you are doing okay.
