Hi 👋

A thread for anyone who wants to discuss their Create Fertility experiences.

I'm 38, have had 3 egg collections with Create (2x natural modified and 1 x mild) and am about to go through my first FET following embryo banking and after having a Hysteroscopy and discovering I have thyroid antibodies...joys of fertility challenges.

Tagging as follows from previous chat, please tag any others I may have forgot.

Plantymcplant · 03/04/2024 20:32

Congratulations @HopefulElle !!

HopefulElle · 03/04/2024 20:45

Thank you ladies! I honestly can’t believe it, and not telling anyone yet, so posting on here has helped it feel a bit more ‘real’. @muddlingthrou yes early scan booked for 22nd. Any advice on not obsessing between now and then?!
@Sunflower360 my lining wasn’t thickening very quickly…at one point they said we might need to skip this cycle, but then added estrogen patches to which really helped. X

Maddie23 · 04/04/2024 18:20

Ah I am so so happy for you @HopefulElle so lovely to hear!

@Sunflower360 do you have your transfer tomorrow? If so, good luck! Hope it goes well!!

Sunflower360 · 04/04/2024 18:21

@Maddie23 yep tomorrow afternoon, thanks, will remember not to drink so much this time!

@HopefulElle - sorry, I went absolutely loopy before my early scan, and it actually ended up being brought forward a few days as I had an episode of bright red bleeding at 6 weeks!

I have a scan booked for tomorrow when I'll be 9 weeks 2 days and time has crawled again... it's all a stressful waiting game, I'm afraid, but hope it'll all be worth it for you and you get to hear a heartbeat ❤️

HopefulElle · 04/04/2024 21:28

Thanks @Maddie23! Best of luck for tomorrow@Sunflower360 🤞🏼
Hope all goes well for you tomorrow too @muddlingthrou, bleed at 6 weeks must have been a horrible scare. Is your scan tomorrow with Create again or elsewhere? X

Sunflower360 · 04/04/2024 21:33

Just a weird question, after positive hcg, in FET, do they advise to continue estrogen too ?

VenusStarr · 04/04/2024 22:58

Thanks @Sunflower360 I'm finding the side effects of the antidepressants hard going. My period started this evening too, I'm glad I'm not starting ivf again yet.
Let us know how tomorrow goes x

@Hollyw128 yes, in a medicated FET you'd be on estrogen until around 12 weeks.

muddlingthrou · 05/04/2024 07:26

@HopefulElle - it's a private scan with an ultrasound company. I got discharged from Create after the early scan so they gave me enough meds to last me until 12 weeks and said goodbye!

I did end up at the hospital last night as my sickness is so bad, and they're booking me in for a hospital scan next week. We'll still go to our private scan today as I'm too impatient to see baby is developing ok.

@Hollyw128 - yes, they advise you keep taking oestrogen until 12 weeks. They said I could drop to 2x a day rather than 3x as the tablets aggravate my sickness. To be honest I've stopped taking them at 9 weeks as I just can't keep them down... I hope I won't regret that! I'm a bit confused as they didn't give me any oestrogen after my fresh transfer with my DD, just progesterone, so hope it's ok.

muddlingthrou · 05/04/2024 07:27

@Sunflower360 - happy transfer day! Wishing you all the luck in the world and that you manage to keep your sanity over the next ten days xx

Sunflower360 · 05/04/2024 07:56

@muddlingthrou thank you! Hope your scan goes ok

@VenusStarr sounds like a break was what was needed to reset, hope the side effects calm down soon from the meds

Just wondering, is it normal to feel anxious while waiting for beta or scan ? I mean I feel like I might jinx it if I keep thinking negative but can not help thinking something might go wrong.
i have had previous miscarriage and failed transfers :(
ladies give me some hope

muddlingthrou · 05/04/2024 15:12

@Hollyw128 - I don't think it gets any more normal than that! My anxiety has been through the roof before every single milestone and today was no different. Happy to report scan went well, so that'll reassure me for a few days at least!

Hollyw128 · 05/04/2024 15:21

@muddlingthrou congratulations ? what day scan was it ?
i keep getting cramps and it scares the hell out of me. I have no kids. I am so desperate :(

Hollyw128 · 05/04/2024 15:22

Congratulations <3 *

Sunflower360 · 05/04/2024 15:39
