Hi 👋

A thread for anyone who wants to discuss their Create Fertility experiences.

I'm 38, have had 3 egg collections with Create (2x natural modified and 1 x mild) and am about to go through my first FET following embryo banking and after having a Hysteroscopy and discovering I have thyroid antibodies...joys of fertility challenges.

Tagging as follows from previous chat, please tag any others I may have forgot.

New joiners to the thread welcome to share your experiences - it's a never ending learning curve for all!

Thank you @Sunflower360 and @Hollyw128

I'm 9 weeks 4 days. I haven't got my booking appt with the NHS until I'm 11w3d and no word on my first NHS scan, so I couldn't wait that long!

jolly86 · 05/04/2024 19:17

Congrats @muddlingthrou and hopefully that will put your mind at ease

@Sunflower360 good luck for the wait fingers crossed for you. Did you have a single transfer? Was it day 3or 5?

Sunflower360 · 05/04/2024 19:20

@jolly86 Thanks! It was a single transfer, grade 5BA. The last one was a grade 5AB so I'm not really putting much weight on the grade in all honesty as that led to a BFN. If this transfer doesn't work then I am considering double transfer

Good luck @Sunflower360

Sunflower360 · 05/04/2024 19:24

@tillyxxx thanks, hope all is ok with you too

@Sunflower360 unfortunately a BFN for me today. Bleeding for 4 days now so didn't come as a shock. What an emotional rollercoaster!

Sunflower360 · 05/04/2024 19:30

@tillyxxx so sorry to hear that, hope you're ok, this road is a tough one

Sorry to hear you’ve been so sick @muddlingthrou but great news that the scan went well! @jolly86 I did 3 cycles and only got one day 3 embryo, grade 2. So this was/is our one and only shot. @Hollyw128 I’m very anxious too, I think it’s entirely normal, for anyone, but particularly for those who’ve gone through fertility issues and/or losses. X

HopefulElle · 05/04/2024 20:36

Sorry @tillyxxx, hope you’re doing OK x

tillyxxx · 05/04/2024 20:52

Thank you @HopefulElle and congratulations to you xxx

Maddie23 · 05/04/2024 22:05

So sorry @tillyxxx look after you!

jolly86 · 06/04/2024 10:55

@HopefulElle wow what a rolllercoaster! It gives hope to all of us as we discard grade 2 day 3 as no chance lol!! Really happy for you I can imagine what a relief.
@Sunflower360 yes I understand for the grade but 5ba stands a great chance.

@tillyxxx so sorry about this :(

Sunflower360 · 06/04/2024 10:59

@jolly86 will see how it goes. How are things with you?

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 06/04/2024 11:01

@HopefulElle, did you experience many symptoms during your tww, or was it a surprise come OTD? Hope the wait until the scan goes by quick, sounds like your hcg result is really good, which is reassuring anyway

jolly86 · 06/04/2024 16:17

@Sunflower360 I will start a new cycle with my coming period, I am flying tomorrow and expect to start on monday or tuesday hopefully x

Sunflower360 · 06/04/2024 16:25

@jolly86 that's good, where are you going internationally, assuming you'll be there for the whole duration? Are they doing anything different?

OP posts:
jolly86 · 06/04/2024 17:05

@Sunflower360 yes so there is uncertainty how long I will be away for, I think 2.5-3 weeks? It is not necessarily different but it will be much cheaper and it is where I am from so not too complicated for me logistically. My husband will follow later, he doesn't have to be there at the beginning.

jolly86 · 06/04/2024 17:06

oh but I think it will be normal short protocol, they don't necessarily do mild ivf like create.

HopefulElle · 06/04/2024 17:39

Thanks @jolly86, I’d also assumed no chance, so a huge shock. But fingers crossed.
@Sunflower360 no no symptoms. I’ve been really tired and sometimes nauseous since I started progesterone anyway. I have had sore boobs the last day or two, but not in the TWW.

Doxy21 · 06/04/2024 20:33

So sorry to hear that @tillyxxx xx

AnMar87 · 08/04/2024 14:19

Did anyone use donor sperm from abroad with them . Did they charge you some admin fee of 350 £ for it?

jolly86 · 08/04/2024 15:03

hello everyone. just started my treatment today. Unfortunately only 2 follicles were seen in one ovary :( i m using 150 gonal f and 150 pergoveris). I had 5 retrieved last time so not sure why such a difference in 4 months. I was also assigned genotropin (growth hormone.) daily.

Sunflower360 · 08/04/2024 15:24

@jolly86 sorry to hear that, perhaps some could pop up with stims and perhaps are too small right now? Mine have always been slow at the start when doing ECs

OP posts:
Doxy21 · 08/04/2024 15:52

@jolly86 i responded badly to human growth hormone and had to abandon the cycle where that happened. Hopefully for you it’s just early days and more follicles will grow

jolly86 · 08/04/2024 16:10

@Sunflower360 I hope so but usually I had more at the start. I dunno if it's the variance from month to month or if my reserve is depleting quickly :(
