TWW Symptoms Feb 2024

[IVF2024]

Would love to hear your experiences of symptoms whether you had any or not during the TWW. It’s my First time IVF experience I am currently 5days post double embryo 5day transfer. Starting to feel different sensations similar to coming up to AF.

it’s beyond hard not to symptom spot!

today I felt exhausted getting out of bed for the first time since transfer but shook it off at 12!

OTD 18th Feb will not test prior to this

Hi @IVF2024, I’m in a similar position to you! Monday was transfer day for us, so I’m one day ahead? So I think we’re 6dp5dt! My maths is awful…lol.

I’m exactly the same as you, think everything is a bad sign. The last two night I have been woken out of my sleep with severe cramps / stomach pain and sore back and hips. I don’t think it’s a good sign. Our test date is 15th and also not testing prior, I don’t see the point!

How have you found your whole process?

@StillTTC7 Hi 😌 I have actually found it so much easier than I ever thought it would be. I had no symptoms with the injections at all. This is my first round of IVF and it’s with NHS. Our waiting time for treatment was lightening fast. We cannot believe we are this far on. We have no kids at the moment!

i have never been one for testing even when TTC naturally just didn’t see the point until a missed or very late period so I am not going to do it now either. Suppose that’s coupled with a bit of fear in getting a false positive

Hey, I’m 6dp5dt today, so exactly the same as you.
Ive got cramping and sore boobs & definitely feel like AF wants to come, guessing it’s just the progesterone stopping it!

I have started testing as after my first transfer failed I know it’s better for me to be prepared, and I’d rather have a slow build up of negatives than just find out on OTD 😬

I do wish I could just wait out the tww though 😭 so hats off to you ladies resisting!

@HopefulHead did you have similar symptoms last time around?

I am so warm since yesterday and this morning too! Not sure what to think as it can be a sign for both early pregnancy and AF on way! Ahhh the joys!! This TWW is long!!!!!!!!

oh and I am having crazy crazy vivid dreams my goodness!

@IVF2024 I think so, but it’s hard to compare when you’re so conscious of every feeling isn’t it!

I have been having light headed / dizzy spells this time which i didn’t last time so not sure if that means anything!

Oh really? Hopefully that’s a good sign! I have heard a few people say you get vivid dreams in pregnancy so 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

@HopefulHead @StillTTC7 anyone else feeling bloated? I am about to burst out of my work uniform that I have just put on lol

@IVF2024 I am pretty bloated but I normally get that before AF arrives, I’d say my level of bloaty-ness is about 3 days before AF level lol

@HopefulHead this is definitely a new one for me. Mine is usually unnoticeable but I’ll be lucky to see the day through in my tunic without gasping for breath or it busting open lol

In the same boat here, my test day is 18th Feb. The first few days I felt like I'd done a lot of sit-ups my abdomen felt tight and I had intermittent stabbing/throbbing. Today it is more of a dull ache and feeling more like regular period pains. Drives me crazy that symptomatically it is so difficult to differentiate between what are positive versus what are negative signs. Good Luck everyone xx

@IVF2024 your process has sounded pretty efficient so far, that’s great news! How are you finding nhs? I have heard fab things about them.

We ended up going private as our doctor is a moron and kept ordering tests rather than referring us to NHS, then we got our appointment about half way through injections! Lol same as you, I found the injections easy (apart from ovaries being on fire!). Then from collection onwards I’ve struggled with pain, bloating and been really emotional which I think is from the progesterone and stress of it all.

And YES I am bloated! Lol it hasn’t left me since egg collection, I feel like a wee balloon 😂

@HopefulHead I feel exactly the same as you. But I don’t know if it’s in my head now as I’m convinced AF is coming any minute now. But we wait.

@StillTTC7 The NHS have been amazing. We initially had one doctor that was a complete balloon years ago and put us on wrong referral list then we went private to check the issue was and why we weren’t getting pregnant naturally, came back unexplained. So went to NHS Doc with our results and he referred us straight for IVF in Belfast Royal. We cannot believe how quick the process has been. We only had or consultation with NHS IVF consultant in October 😳 and here we are in the 2WW

I think I actually stretched my tunic today! It was a long shift lol

Hi 👋 officially in the TWW following IUI and a follicle reduction today, tummy currently feeling super sore, cup of tea and early night for me, wondering whether to test out the trigger 😏🫣 sending everyone baby dust!! 🩵

@MamaK19 sounds like you need an early night for sure. so I am green to all this IVF stuff! Does the tigger shot give a reading of positive pregnancy for some time?

@IVF2024 aww thats amazing! Hopefully we won’t have to use them (so that this round works) but if we do go again it will be with them and they sound fab! Glad your treatment has progressed so quickly after such a long wait.

At least now your tubic won’t feel as tight 😆 but hopefully in the right circumstances it will feel tight 😀 I ran to the bathroom thinking I had period last night, but still okay for now. I am so paranoid!

Hi there. In my tww, currently 4dpd5t. OTD is 19th. No symptoms till now.

@APSR what are your symptoms? @StillTTC7 I have an awful headache since 11 pm last night head is busting not sure if it’s because I had a really busy day yesterday

@IVF2024 @StillTTC7 yeah I think it does depend on the trigger but it can cause a false positive but only for I think about a week after trigger, no symptoms for me yet unsurprisingly but still very sore and tender! 🩵

@IVF2024 I had exactly the same - killer headache since around 10pm last night I'm 6dp5dt now.

@JennyF84 i think it’s related to hydration. Mine is still pounding x

@IVF2024 nothing at all. Did you have any symptoms at 4dp5dt?

@APSR ive had sore back on and off and I definitely have had sore nipples since day one post transfer but this could be from the cyclogest pessaries and I am wildly moody irritatable today also

Hey @IVF2024 has your headache cleared yet? How you feeling today? I feel like AF is about to show any second so losing all hope if I’m honest!
I was the same re what you said about having sore nipples. It has been wild! And cyclogest definitely sent me on a stressful and emotional rollercoaster. Been feeling better the last couple of days so hope you experience that too!

@MamaK19 ahh okay, I was wondering what people had been talking about! I’m definitely just going to wait, would hate to get false hope lol. How you feeling?
