2dp5dt, who else is in 2ww?

It’s the dreaded 2ww after my FET on Tues. checking for bleeding all the time, symptom spotting etc. How is everyone else doing?

Last night I had cramping and this morn had the tiniest amount of pinkish discharge. Could be combo of constipation causing cramps and pessaries irritating cervix rather than implantation. Don’t want to get hopes up as probs a bit early for implantation?!!

This is my 5th transfer and if successful will be our 3rd IVF baby. We’ve been incredibly lucky.

@MimosasInFrance that sounds great. I wouldn’t worry too much about line progression as it’s not been long since your first one. With my last FET there wasn’t much change on the lines until at least 24-48 hours later. Are you getting complete blanks on the cheap tests? That’s what I’m using currently! Everything crossed for you!

My test was negative again this morning using cheap test. Last night I had low back pain and had some light pink discharge (sorry if TMI) still there a bit this morning but hasn’t worsened. I also feel nauseous and have an unquenchable thirst which I had with my last 2 pregnancies so I have no idea what this is with a negative test. This rollercoaster is unbelievable sometimes.

@clhiu those dreams sound horrible! You’re doing so well holding out for a test.

@April623 have you got your other branded ones back now? Hope the line came back with them

@Greenleaves20 - oh yes absolutely blank on the cheap tests, and even the "early detection" Superdrug ones. It's just the faintest line imaginable on Clearblue but I really have to look hard for it in the right light. I've got one FRER but I'm too scared to use it as if it's negative I think I'll be sad 😭 I'd attach a pic but to be honest I think you'll all think I'm losing the plot 😅

Your symptoms sound really promising, I definitely wouldn't worry about negative tests at this stage especially if you're using the cheapies! I guess this is why people tell us not to test so early 😬

Crossing my fingers for you!

clhiu · 30/04/2023 08:55

I went to the bathroom and no blood thankfully so seeing the cramping as a positive sign although I really wish I had at least a but of nause, pretty sure I alrehad it at this point with all my previous pregnancies.

Totally separate question, but had any of you who’s ever used Lubion ever developed an itchy rash at the injection site? I started one about 3-4 days ago and didn’t think much of it as it’s quoted on the leaflet as one of the most common side effect. Unfortunately last night I started googling it and had me worried it could be excess progrsterone or an immune reaction to it, neither of bodes well for implantation. I messaged the clinic and they asked me to send pictures and if I wouldn’t mind attending the clinic, which over this bank holiday I absolutely do as it’s a 3.5 hours round trip and have other plans. They fact they asked me to attend is now having me even more worried.

clhiu · 30/04/2023 09:07

Gosh I just realised my last message is absolute typo hell! 😳
*I wish I had at least a bout of nausea, pretty sure I already had it at this point

@Greenleaves20 your symptoms sound super promising and I definitely wouldn’t expect to see anything yet with the cheap tests. I have a pack of Clear Blue Early for double checking, but planning to use the cheap ones on OTD just so there can be very little doubt as to whether it’s worked or not.

April623 · 30/04/2023 09:29

Morning All!

My update is that the unbranded tests arrived yesterday and of course I snatched the parcel from the Amazon driver and did one immediately. There was an 'easy to see' line still there although lighter than the previous day which is my concern. Along with the fact that I feel some of my symptoms have subsided. Holding on to the hope that it's still so early and I'm going to test again in a couple of days. It's now been 13 days since my trigger shot.

@MimosasInFrance You are one day behind me so still very early aswell. How is your husband?

@clhiu I think you have the right idea waiting to test, I don't know how you do it! Re Lubion, I don't have much experience with this being my first cycle but I am using it without issue. It stings a little afterwards, more than the stims I think, but no rash or anything like that. Let us know how you get on.

@Greenleaves20 Your symptoms sound really promising!! It is way too early to know either way. I'm starting to wonder if my positive at 4dp5dt was in fact left from the trigger. God knows why the line was darker but I may never know. I'd focus on the positive symptoms for now and hopefully the result will follow soon🤞🏼

Greenleaves20 · 30/04/2023 10:00

@clhiu 3.5 hours round trip would be awful! You defo don’t want to have to do that. I’ve never used Lubion but I’ve had itchy rashes with previous IVF injections. They mostly went after a few hours though. Obvs send the pics in but they’ll have to have a really good reason to want you in for you to go all that way. If you don’t get a quick response maybe you should give them a ring to find out what they’re concerned about to save you worrying about it. Hope it’s ok x

@MimosasInFrance ooo maybe I’ll treat myself to a clearblue test… let’s face it this is my last possible 2WW so I might as well as well enjoy it! Send a pic of your squinter if you have time/want to. I do like a bit of line detection, I’ve spent a long time staring at tests over the years x

@April623 lolled at you snatching the tests from the driver. I’ll be ordering more today and doing the same. It’s encouraging there is still a line but what a rollercoaster for you. How long does it take for a trigger shot to leave the system? I suppose different for all different people?

@RunningOnHope and @BermudaBliss how are you doing? Xx

April623 · 30/04/2023 10:53

@Greenleaves20 My clinic said 10-14 days, sometimes sooner. Of course everyone is different. 14 days after trigger will be 7dp5dt so I guess I will be sure by then (tomorrow). BUT that is still far too early to know definitively!

MimosasInFrance · 30/04/2023 11:24

@clhiu I agree with @Greenleaves20 re sending a pic, hopefully they can then put your mind at rest without you having to take the best part of the day to travel to the clinic. I've not taken Lubion either but have also had slightly itchy responses to previous jabs.

@April623 I can totally empathise with snatching the package! The uncertainty must be really hard but good that you'll know with some confidence that the trigger will be gone from tomorrow.

My husband is doing ok, thanks for asking. He's still not feeling good but much better now we know it's not something very sinister (very scary few days at first as doctors were worried about stroke). The timing of it all still feels unbelievable to me.

@Greenleaves20 - I wondered if it's something to do with the blue dye as none of the others so far have picked it up. Will post a pic shortly, you can tell me if I'm hallucinating 😬

MimosasInFrance · 30/04/2023 11:39

Here you go, the first one was from yesterday afternoon and the second this morning. Now that I've got it out to send a pic I can see that it's DEFINITELY got darker since drying as when I first took the test I could barely make anything out without tilting it certain ways. I know you're meant to discount anything after ten mins though 😬

2dp5dt, who else is in 2ww?
April623 · 30/04/2023 11:56

@MimosasInFrance I can see both! And today's is so much darker! I would take that as a positive and test again in a couple of days if you can hold off then hopefully you'll see a definite difference in the next one! It's so hard though I'm trying everything to distract myself today so that I don't test.

Awful timing with your husband but one piece of good news often leads to another so 🤞🏼🤞🏼

MimosasInFrance · 30/04/2023 12:46

@April623 your optimism spurred me on to take my last FRER which has a line too 🙂 Tentatively happy, but know things are this stage can be delicate. Crossing my fingers for anyone else testing today 🤞

Greenleaves20 · 30/04/2023 13:37

@MimosasInFrance thats so exciting, congratulations! Or at least a whispered one for now since it’s not OTD 😄. Hope your husband is ok, glad it’s nothing sinister x

Greenleaves20 · 30/04/2023 14:46

I’ve had some bleeding this afternoon, bright red and enough to need a pad 🙁. So I’m pretty sure that’s it for me. It’s quite unexpected really as I previously haven’t bled until 9dpt on my failed cycles. I’m going to test again in the morning and probably phone the clinic on Tues to let them know what’s happened x

OP posts:
clhiu · 30/04/2023 14:57

@Greenleaves20 I’m so so sorry this is happening to you ❤️. I know it’s super hard to stay optimistic when there’s bleeding or the pattern is similar to a previous situation, but remember every cycle is different and it may not be over for you yet. Thinking of you x

MimosasInFrance · 30/04/2023 14:59

@Greenleaves20 I'm so sorry 💐 I've got no experience to draw on myself as it's only my first go, but I do know someone who had quite a bit of bleeding early on and went on to become pregnant. But I agree best to see what your clinic says. Take care of yourself x

April623 · 30/04/2023 15:46

@Greenleaves20 I am sorry to hear this, what an awful sight it must have been. I agree with @clhiu that there's still some hope based on what my clinic told me can happen but very difficult to be optimistic in that situation. Thinking of you and hoping you have a definite answer soon 💐

Cautiously so pleased for you @MimosasInFrance - keep us posted!

RunningOnHope · 30/04/2023 16:00

BFN at 6dp5dt. Wanted to try because my wife got a BFP with our daughter at 11pm. Set myself up to fail really though at it was afternoon wee 2 hours after I last had... and it's probably too early.... but still feeling disappointed.

RunningOnHope · 30/04/2023 16:14

Oops, that was 11dpo that my wife got BFP with our daughter, not 11pm 🤦‍♀️

April623 · 01/05/2023 08:22

Morning All,

Very faint, barely there line this morning 7dp5dt so still very unsure where I'm at. Today is day 14 after the trigger shot 🤷🏻‍♀️ Will just have to wait and test again in a couple of days.

@Greenleaves20 How are you feeling? And @clhiu how is your rash looking today?

@RunningOnHope Maybe a bit early for you still 🤞🏼

Let us know when you test again @MimosasInFrance

MimosasInFrance · 01/05/2023 08:28

Morning @April623 - sorry about this rollercoaster. Encouraging that the line is still there although I think. Wonder if it sort of crossed over with your trigger and that's what made it darker the other day?

I tested again this morning (6dpt), still a line but it doesn't seem darker to me which is driving me slightly crazy. I think I need to put the tests down for a bit and try again in a couple of days. I did get a faint positive on a cheap test yesterday evening though so I guess that's encouraging as it wasn't happening at 4dpt when I got the first line on the Clearblue. So hard not to analyse everything.

At the same time I've started to feel nauseous and a bit lightheaded. Hoping that's a symptom and not just the stress 😅😬

How is everyone else doing?

MimosasInFrance · 01/05/2023 08:31

This morning's test

2dp5dt, who else is in 2ww?
April623 · 01/05/2023 09:05

@MimosasInFrance I was also thinking this last night, maybe there was some cross over with the source of hcg. Clinging onto some hope... I will do another test in a couple of days then surely I will be clearer either way (although I keep saying this!! 🙈)

I would be very happy with your result and I am sure this will be darker in 2 days time if it is at all possible to step away from the tests until then 😅 Easier said than done I appreciate!!

clhiu · 01/05/2023 09:06

Good morning everyone.

Sorry it’s been such a slow burner for you @April623, but I think any line at this stage is a positive sign and leas likely to be trigger still.
Rash is still there, but hasn’t gotten any worse. The clinic ended up calling after seeing my pictures and they just said it can be a common dermatitis from the effects of Lubion and Injixa combined as ‘they don’t agree with each other very well’. They were just worried I may be having a serious allergic reaction and told me if the rash gets worse and it’s accompanied by difficulty breathing, etc to go to A&E 😅, but definitely doesn’t feel like an allergic reaction to me, not a serious one anyway.

@RunningOnHope definitely still too early to say for you 🍀

@MimosasInFrance I think with the nausea aswell you may be headed for success here, remind me please, what/how much progesterone supplements are you on?

I decided to test tomorrow night. OTD is Thursday so I’m sure tomorrow at 12dpt a Clearblue early should definitely pick HCG up and shouldn’t be the infusion anymore as I was told up to 10 days to clear. It’s too torturous, especially with all the symptoms I’m getting all of which could just be down to the progesterone supplements I feel like i just keep leading myself on and it’s too cruel without knowing, plus I’d like to be able to stop all these injections and other stuff that’s making me feel like this for no reason if I don’t really need them anymore.
I had a couple of short-lived bouts of nausea yesterday and this morning since about 7am it’s been quite persistent so I keep kidding myself. Then symptoms disappear for a few hours and I feel super depressed. So yeah, I think tomorrow night I’m gonna put myself out of my misery.

MimosasInFrance · 01/05/2023 09:48

@clhiu Really glad that they've been reassuring about the rash! I guess it makes sense with all the poking and prodding in IVF that the skin sometimes is a little unhappy about it! Hopefully you can relax a little bit about that now.

Re testing, I think I'd do the same in your situation. I think the uncertainty is the hardest part. Really hoping for a positive outcome for you 🤍

I'm on cyclogest 400mg twice a day, and I've been on that the whole time. Other than being a bit overly emotional (who isn't during IVF?!) I didn't get any symptoms from it really. The nausea is new for sure 🤞

My test has lightened since drying which is weird. I should probably discard them after the time they specify on the box as I feel that way lies madness otherwise.

@April623 You're absolutely right I need to put the tests down (also adding up how much I'm spending on the bloody things is quite horrifying at this point!). Thank you for being so reassuring, you're right that time will tell for both of us!
