Thank you all so much for the positive thoughts and wishing me good luck. It really helped 💕

I got to the scan super nervous with scenarios set out of what I'd do if it went either way.

However it all went well - she didn't show me anything at first, and then she turned the screen around and told me it was all okay, showed the heartbeat (I had all the emotions 😭🥹😍) She mentioned I was at 7.5 weeks, and baby was measuring at approx 8 weeks. My ovaries were still really enlarged but she said it's nothing to worry about.

I've been referred to the midwife now. Feel relieved and reassured, now it's onto the next milestone at 12 weeks 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Tinkerbell098 · 01/02/2023 12:17

@MinBins aww that's so amazing!! Such good news. Measuring a bit ahead as well! I was also so nervous when they didn't show anything on the screen and were silent for a bit. I think it's pretty standard. So so happy for you. Hope you've got something planned to celebrate today.

@MinBins that’s lush news! Glad it all went ok and hopefully can relax a little more now 🤍

MinBins · 01/02/2023 13:48

Thank you @Tinkerbell098 and @1stcycle - feeling happy and reassured for the next stage.

Ahh I'm back at work this afternoon but I got myself a small celebratory cake and will enjoy it a lovely meal this evening. I totes can't concentrate at work and keep looking at the pics and vid.

ralno2 · 01/02/2023 15:39

Hey everyone, had my last tracking scan this morning and trigger injection will be 10pm tonight with egg collection for 10am on Friday.

Unfortunately they have found an endometrial cyst behind my left ovary, my lining of my uterus is irregular and also have hydrosalpinx of the fallopian tube. I’m annoyed that these were only picked up now, I’m sure the cyst didn’t just crop up over night.

They have kept me on Menopur for one more day, they said they would investigate what they think is a cyst and the hydrosalpinx. Looks like I won’t be able to do a fresh transfer because of my lining.

so not all good news unfortunately.

ralno2 · 01/02/2023 15:49

They will investigate the cyst and the hydrosaplinx while I am under sedation for egg collection

1stcycle · 01/02/2023 16:59

@MinBins enjoy your meal tonight!

@ralno2 sorry to hear that, hopefully it will be something they can resolve easily and I know it’s frustrating having to wait longer if you can’t do a fresh transfer but a lot of people seem to be having successes with frozen transfers.

I had my scan today and they said the leading ones were just over 12mm they didn’t tell me how many or other sizes I wish I had asked but they were hoping they would be 14 to start the fyremadel but they are starting me on that tomorrow morning and then I have to add 150 menopur tomorrow evening with my 300 gonal F. I’ve only done 4 stims so far does anyone know the average size for then? I can’t remember what I was last time but I feel like it’s still early days, they just got me nervous when said hoped they would be bigger.

ralno2 · 01/02/2023 17:21

Thanks @1stcycle

I think anywhere between 5-10mm day 4/5 is good size. So sounds like your follicles are growing nicely!

Ya, just frustrating and a bit deflated that it won’t be this month. And who knows with this hydrosalpinx - apparently it really affects implantation. They might try and remove some of the fluid while under sedation. Could be months before I get the FET.

Honeybunie · 01/02/2023 17:48

@Decaffe soooo happy for you that you got three embryos in the freezer! amazing news ❤

and @MinBins totally over the moon for you too! So glad the scan went well and teh little bean has latched on. Loooove all the positive news ❤

I just wanted to leave a quick message. I'm super busy with work. Have to go in to work this month which is 3hrs from home, so am either working, on the road or sleeping lol. No time to check on here much or think about anything other than work, the only IVF reminder being my large pill box full of supplments lol

@Spin101 sorry to hear the lining was still a bit on the thin side but great to hear that they've given you patches to help that. I'm sure it'll work its magic. Best of luck for the Friday scan 💞

1stcycle · 01/02/2023 20:04

I@ralno2 that makes me feel better. I think cos they said they wanted the leading ones to be 14mm before fyremadel but they starting me on it anyways so was confused…but I guess that’s just to stop ovulation. I have my next scan Friday so hopefully they’ll tell me how many and sizes better then. fingers crossed it’s not too long for you, it will be worth the wait in the end 🤍

Tinkerbell098 · 01/02/2023 20:31

@ralno2 happy trigger day! Sorry it looks like you can't transfer this round. Honestly, having been through both fresh and frozen cycles, I can say that I would choose frozen anytime. They found a massive cyst last time when I went for a scan at 6 weeks (I had miscarried but then), which explained a lot of the pains I had. It had completely disappeared by the time I had my frozen transfer so hopefully yours will too. It's good they can have a better looks at your ovaries during the collection and hope it's a quick fix/ the body can fix it itself. Take time to heal and fingers crossed you can start again soon. I know it's not ideal when you had planned to have the transfer now, but everything happens for a reason. I'm a firm believer of that X

Tinkerbell098 · 01/02/2023 20:34

@1stcycle can't really comment on day 4 stims follicle size as I didn't have a scan until 10 days into stims! Hopefully the follicles are where they should be and you'll see more at Fridays scan. All the best X

@MinBins enjoy your cake and lovely meal. Did your OH get to come into for the scan with you?

OP posts:
MinBins · 02/02/2023 13:17

Ah I did @Tinkerbell098 it was a lovely meal and the cake was so enjoyed after cutting down on sweet things for the past months 😋

He came into the scan with me, was so glad that he was there.

I have my midwife appointment on the 15th Feb, did you say yours was this week, @Tinkerbell098? Hope it went well if so!

Hope @ralno2 the trigger was okay and that you're all set for tomorrow. I think giving your body the time to heal, dissapointing as it might be not to transfer, will give you the best opportunity - and in the meantime you can focus on your health till next month. 💪🏼

Work sounds hectic @Honeybunie hope you get time to relax on the weekend! Thank you, we're so relieved with the news.

Cat89 · 02/02/2023 18:21

@MinBins aww yayyy I'm so glad your scan went well!!! 🎉🎉. It's such a positive and high moment after everything we've been through.

@ralno2 Good luck for tomorrow!! I know it's really frustrating having to wait longer but they just want you in the best condition possible for it to work. I hope tomorrow goes well x

Update from me, I had my Wk12 scan today and everything is looking good 😊😊. Did my blood test for the NT screening test and got a flu jab. We're just going to wait the 5 days for test to come back before sharing our news officially, but from the scan the NT fluid looked within normal range so feeling fairly confident. We celebrated with cream tea and a car valet LOL. Can't believe we've finally hit this milestone, so happy 😁 xx

Tamtam123 · 02/02/2023 18:53

@Cat89 I am so happy for you, get to celebrate and enjoy your little one when they come.

Imisscoffee2021 · 02/02/2023 19:01

Amazing news @Cat89 and @MinBins ! You're treats are giving me serious FFOMO, food fear of missing out!
I had all my vaccines at the same time yesterday at 16 week midwife appointment, I regret it so much today, completely wiped out and arms are killing me! My bump has popped this week, happened so quickly was a surprise one morning!

Cat89 · 02/02/2023 19:58

@Imisscoffee2021 and @Tamtam123 thank you!

@Imisscoffee2021 does bump just appear overnight lol?! I get serious bloating increasingly throughout the day but in the morning it's gone, bizarre! Glad you're doing ok, good to have gotten all the jabs out the way and maybe a way to get out of work if it's painful? 😉 Your next scan won't be too long, are you finding out the gender? X

Imisscoffee2021 · 02/02/2023 20:19

@Cat89 I thought I was getting a bit of thickening in my pelvis then it went away around 13 weeks, then I had a crampy sort of day last Sunday and a seemed to pop overnight, wondered if it was my retorverted uterus moving forward that crampy day. The midwife yesterday could feel my uterus easily from touching my stomach, and heard the little heartbeat on a doppler which was lovely :)
I had a harmony test at 13ish weeks so already know its a little boy :) confirmed on a recent scan too. Will you find out yours or have a surprise?

Decaffe · 02/02/2023 20:40

@1stcycle on my day 5 scan mine were 11, 10, 9 and under. So yes yours sounds good to me! Let us know how they’re looking tomorrow.

Thank you @Honeybunie and don’t worry about checking in, life gets so hectic sometimes but we’ll be here for you when you’re back!

@ralno2 that sounds frustrating but I echo the others that a frozen transfer is much kinder to your body. It’s a shame they’ve only just picked up on all of that, but at least now they have and they are doing something about it. Will be thinking of you in the morning for your collection and wishing you all the luck! Bet you’ve enjoyed having no injections today.

Wonderful news @Cat89!

@Imisscoffee2021 oh wow a little boy! Something in my eye!

As for my updates, most of my bloods have come back, all clear so. And magically, somehow, against all warnings of mega waiting lists… I have been given a date for the laparoscopy and hysteroscopy in just a few weeks’ time! I thought it would be months!!

Decaffe · 02/02/2023 20:42

All clear so far that should say.

Imisscoffee2021 · 02/02/2023 21:02

@Decaffe fantastic that you have the ops so soon! So happy you don't have to wait too long x

MinBins · 02/02/2023 21:23

Yay for your 12 week scan @Cat89! How did it feel seeing the little one wiggle? So happy for you!

Ooh cream tea! Sounds delicious. My cake was a jam and coconut sponge and I had it with decaf chai - not the same as the proper chai but it hit the spot!

Hope you're feeling okay @Imisscoffee2021 - and plenty of rest to see you through the next couple of days after the jabs. Wow you're already at 16 weeks that is incredible! Have you had any cravings? So excited for you and the little bump!

Great news on your laparoscopy and hysteroscopy @Decaffe! Hope you get plenty of time to recoup and rest following the laparoscopy - I've had one previously to remove a cyst and i valued the rest following it! We'll be thinking of you and rooting for you! 💪🏼

seekingbabyk · 03/02/2023 06:39

Hi everyone- sorry I haven't had a chance to come on here for a couple of days just reading through messages!

@MinBins - so happy for you! What a relief - that's amazing!

@ralno2 - good luck today - you'll be fine and make sure you get plenty of rest after! As others have said it seems to be better to wait for a FET anyway so I'd definitely see that as a bonus! Let us know how it went once you feel up to it!

@Decaffe that's amazing re your ops! You must feel relieved knowing it's not long to wait!

@1stcycle my follicles started growing quickly after day 5 so I wouldn't worry about size this soon. I think the second half of the stims seems to be where they take off for me anyway!

@Honeybunie wow that's a long month with a 3 hour commute! Hope you have some good audiobooks for the car!

We fly home tomorrow which I feel quite glad about. Ready to get back to better eating - seem to have been living off of carbs here! Also is there anything better than your own bed?!?!

Honeybunie · 03/02/2023 08:02

@Imisscoffee2021 aawww bump has appeared. How lovely 🥹🥹 oh what jabs do you get at 16 weeks? I didn’t know.
@seekingbabyk safe flight home! And yes nothing better than your own bed 🥰lol. I tried podcasts but I couldn’t concentrate while driving haha. However love listening to 80s and singing along 😂
@ralno2 best of luck 🍀 for today!
