Hi all just a quick one, not sure what to make of it really. We had 2x 8 cells, 1x7 and 1x6 on Day three. The others only had 4 or 5 cells so were out of the running.
Well at the end of the day today I got a call to say that none were freezable today. On the blastocyst grading scale of 1-6, it needs to be a 3 before they can start to assign the alphabetical grades (e.g. 3BC or 5AB). Well, we have one embryo that’s between 2-3 and five(?!) that are between 1-2.
So we’re going to wait for the six to continue growing overnight and then at 9am they’ll check them and see which are 3+ in size and at least a C grade.
Not quite the birthday present I was expecting? Or is it?! DH’s view is that the four good ones from Day 3 have slowed down but then I said doesn’t it also mean two of the written off ones have sort of recovered?! Genuinely not sure, has anyone been in a similar situation or had any Day 6 embryos before?
Lovely to see you again @1stcycle and best of luck for this round!
Very envious of Egypt! Warm weather seems so distant right now!
I can’t scroll up as I’m on my phone and thought it had lost all I’d written just then! But happy Friday everyone, hope you’re having a good evening. Thanks for checking in on me this morning. 💜
