Feb 2022 even, keep forgetting what year it us!

Spin101 · 13/01/2023 16:43

@MinBins calm and headspace are great apps! Do you do Asana in the studio or at home?

@Decaffe that’s great you have 9 follicles. Have they upped your dosage? I’m so sorry about your manager. That really sucks. Are you able to put your foot down at all with the overtime and say you have to prioritise your health?

@Imisscoffee2021 🥰🥰🥰 how exciting! I hope your husband enjoys the surprise. Your parents are going to be over the moon!

Spin101 · 13/01/2023 16:52

I went to the clinic today for an endometrial scratch. I was told it would be like a smear test. My gosh, was I in pain for a minute or two! It was nowhere near as bad as the HyCoSy but that’s probably because it was over much quicker

MinBins · 13/01/2023 19:03

That's great news @Imisscoffee2021! Ahh I bet your family will be so excited! Really happy for you!

@Decaffe sorry to hear work and manager is being pants, but great numbers on your scan! Is there anything you can do with work to take some time off?

Ah I do it at home @Spin101 I downloaded the app last year. It's got a nice mix of recipes and meditation & yoga.

Decaffe · 13/01/2023 19:19

They have put me on Bemfola 300 this time, compared to 225 last time. I think it's to encourage the little ones to grow and catch up a bit more. They collected five eggs from eight follicles on the first round. Next scans are Mon and Weds then egg collection likely next weekend.

Yes, we are planning to freeze all and then wait, certainly for the blood test results to come back, but potentially even until the combined laparoscopy/hysteroscopy, I will need to find out what the current waiting times are for the op. I don't mind waiting a few months at all, I need my body back, I need a break from all this. The headspace it takes up is unreal, isn't it! I feel like I have been on an IVF hamster wheel since September and I just need a rest.

Thanks for all the good wishes about work. To be honest I'm still quite hurt from her asking me if we were going to adopt as a plan B if IVF didn't work. I know I need to join you all in some exercise, calm, mindfulness, but it gets to the evening and I am shattered!

So exciting for you to be able to share the good news this weekend @Imisscoffee2021, a little boy how wonderful! Smile

@Spin101 and @MinBins where are you up to with your cycles now? And @seekingbabyk and @Honeybunie? Sending love!

I will try not to be so AWOL now!

Honeybunie · 14/01/2023 10:31

@Spin101 Jeezz I had a good muscle ache 2-3 days after doing like 4min of squats on peloton! I was thinking to try asana too @MinBins ! Seems to have good reviews. But decided to drag myself back to the gym as best as I can. OH and I went spinning yesterday. I do love it once I’m there. Just need to build up some muscles. I do like meditation too. I just watch some YouTube ones. I actually started after my acupuncture session on first transfer day. And I fall asleep every time without a fail 😅 just haven’t kept it up since then 🙈
yes my nhs clinic does private treatments so I can just stay there. I was looking at other private clinics in the same area. But I’m thinking I’ll save myself the hassle of moving. And they’re in a women’s hospital and have good ratings and reviews. I can’t do it earlier anyway. I’m working away all of February and April so I can’t do/start anything then and have to be available in May too, so I’ll use this time to dose myself up and then I’m freeer again to do ivf und transfers until December.

@Tinkerbell098 24th of Jan isn’t too long now. I’m sure everything will be fine 😊 and @MinBins a week after 😃 how are you both feeling now? Any symptoms that kicked in?

@Decaffe yay 9 follicles sounds great 🤞 try not to feel guilty because of work esp if your manager treats you like that!
what exactly do you need to have done? Not familiar with those procedures. Gosh it does sound like you need a good break. Hope you’re not too bloated

@Imisscoffee2021 aawww a little boy 🥰 such wonderful news. I bet your parents and hubby will be over the moon. Glad all the tests came back okay 👍

ouch @Spin101 at what point in the whole process is the endometrial scratch done?

Honeybunie · 14/01/2023 10:34

Anybody watched the Alex Jones making babies programme? The whole Alex Jones becoming a nurse story is a bit annoying but the actual stories of people are quite interesting. The clinic looks super bling too

seekingbabyk · 14/01/2023 11:10

@Imisscoffee2021 awww that's so lovely to finally get your good news and being able to surprise your OH with something too! How did it all go or haven't you told him yet? Have you worked out your due date yet?

@Decaffe I'm sorry you are having a rough time between managers, probably side effects, etc. Completely understand the hamster wheel. Tbh though I feel like that when doing stims and especially when they upped my dose so get this all out of the way and then give yourself time to recover and see how you feel. The overriding feeling I get with stims is just being fed up! The physical symptoms I can handle, but I just feel like a lab ray being poked and prodded and so over the whole thing so I completely get how you're feeling. Then having your manager being a prize twat is just adding to it all! Keep going. You're smashing it and it'll all be over soon so you can recover properly 🥰

@Spin101 I love that term they use "just like a smear" for everything and it's nothing like a smear at all! I hope you're ok now. God it sucks to be a woman sometimes!

@Honeybunie my tablets haven't even turned up yet so I'll prob end up doing it in may with you at this rate 🙈

MinBins · 14/01/2023 11:46

We have a scan on the 1st Feb which will be 7 weeks, so just waiting for that. Keeping myself guarded and cautiously hopeful till then. 🤞🏼

Feeling okay @Honeybunie just waiting for the 1st Feb! No symptoms, just hunger now and then. Woke up to an argument with OH so still a bit meh after it (nothing serious both grumpy in the morning) and have a friend over later with her little one so looking forward to that!

@Spin101 a friend had an endometrial scratch done, I remember her saying it was quite tough for her to go through at the time, but if the clinic have mentioned it, did they share typical next steps?

MinBins · 14/01/2023 11:47

@Decaffe forgot to tag you below 🙈😅

Spin101 · 14/01/2023 19:53

@Decaffe i should be starting Progynova soon. Just waiting for my cycle to start.

@Honeybunie continuity at the same clinic makes sense.
There isn’t a lot of evidence around the scratch but people tend to have it after repeat failed implantations. In my case because my lining is so thin, the consultant said it might help promote a thicker lining so I thought I might as well try it.
Where can we watch that show? Sounds really interesting!

@seekingbabyk thank you and yeh it does really suck at times! I think after 45 mins the cramps has stopped. I recommend paracetamol prior to doing it if any of you plan to!

@MinBins they time the scratch just before your next cycle and say it may come a day or two earlier as a result of the scratch. I’ve had a bit of spotting today but will wait for a proper bleed prior to starting Progynova

Imisscoffee2021 · 15/01/2023 10:06

@seekingbabyk I told him, he was surprised although we'd been thinking it's a boy, I think he thought we'd be wrong and it'd be a girl after all but he's very happy, makes it feel more real. I told my mam and step dad, or she did when she shrieked at the news over the phone! She was so shocked as she'd not even known we'd had IVF yet, but very happy. Got the flurry of "are you taking iron, you're a vegetarian you need it" health texts after of course:)

Hope your tablets come soon!

seekingbabyk · 15/01/2023 23:59

@Imisscoffee2021 awww that's so lovely! Really happy for you both x

MinBins · 16/01/2023 09:33

Ah I bet that was so lovely to hear their happiness and excitement! @Imisscoffee2021 💕💕

Tinkerbell098 · 16/01/2023 13:21

@Imisscoffee2021 aww how lovely you got to break the news over the weekend. Must have been so special. So pleased for you X

Imisscoffee2021 · 16/01/2023 14:31

Than you @Tinkerbell098 @MinBins @seekingbabyk , they were all so shocked as last they knew I was warring for nhs referral 😅 I said we've got some news, had a cycle etc etc, and they all asked when, so i said last August and let the silence drag on a bit🤣 then told them, my dad cried bless him. Hope all continues well, I thought I had the beginnings of a bump bt that disappeared Friday along with bloating so think it was bloat all along! And getting some energy back, not been sick in a few days. My sister said this stage is the wierd one where you lose symptoms but don't show yet and can't feel the baby so you worry.
@seekingbabyk have your meds arrived yet?

Honeybunie · 17/01/2023 09:31

@seekingbabyk have your tablets arrived yet? which supplements did you decive to take then? is your husband taking any as well?

@MinBins and @Tinkerbell098 hope the wait isn't dragging too much and you're keeping well!

@Spin101 has your cycle started yet and the progynova? 😃are you taking l-arginine to help with the lining? that scratch sounds proper ouch! Fingers crossed it will help!! Will be intersting to see what your lining will be like this cycle. Hopefully nice and thick and fluffy ready to welcome the little bean 🤗that alex jones show is on the W channel 25 I think. you can get it on a catch up app as well. UK TV i think it's called.

@Imisscoffee2021 aawww that's so nice you had a little surprise for your husband. And what a joy it must be for the grandparents to be! I would have cried too lol.

seekingbabyk · 17/01/2023 14:41

@Honeybunie @Imisscoffee2021 not arrived yet but cancelled the first order and now coming tomorrow. The first place was US based so they said could be another two weeks!

How is everyone today?

MinBins · 17/01/2023 16:22

Thanks @Honeybunie days are going by slowly for sure. I feel everyday I inch closer to the scan I get more hopeful but then worry myself in case it's disappointing news at the scan. But I'm remaining hopeful! 🤞🏼

Ah hope they arrive tomorrow @seekingbabyk! Doing okay, waiting for the weekend - willing it to come sooner 😅

Honeybunie · 17/01/2023 16:45

@seekingbabyk jesus two weeks. I guess a UK supplier is better to keep you topped up regularly and on time when needed. We have gotten into a good routine of taking our supplements, but jesus is it quite a load every morning lol. And organising the daily supplies, filling the pill boxes haha. and we're going away over the weekend, so need to take everything with us. All of this until June.. let's hope it pays off.
@MinBins it's just crazy how the worrying never seems to stop right. but I guess if there haven't been any unusual or worrying symptoms so far so will be fine. all fingers crossed 😊

seekingbabyk · 17/01/2023 16:48

@Honeybunie yes if it gets the result we want it'll all be worth it! I haven't really decided on a next cycle month yet will just see how life pans out with trips etc. was aiming for March but it will be over my birthday and we usually go away for birthdays so might end up later in the year too!

@MinBins it's good you are just going along though at least there's no cramps or anything to worry you!

How are you feeling @Tinkerbell098 ?

Cat89 · 17/01/2023 22:16

Hi all!
Sorry not been on here for a few weeks!
I won't try to remember every detail and tag individuals but this thread sounds very positive and exciting times ahead for new cycles or fetal scans for those who've been successful so far.

I booked another early scan last Sunday as the wait between Week 6 and Week 12 NHS scan was too long to wait lol! I'm very lucky in that I don't have many symptoms and am having a fairly easy time, but that's equally very unnerving and making me question all the time if everything is ok!! My scan on Sunday was 9.5wks and showed everything is progressing perfectly. To those trying to identify symptoms or worrying due to lack-of, please don't! Unless you start bleeding heavily with terrible cramping then try to assume everything is ok and enjoy the process ☺️.

@MammyandAva - your story sounds horrible. Sending hugs for what you must have gone through and the worry the bleeding would have caused. So so happy everything is ok xx

Spin101 · 18/01/2023 10:24

@Imisscoffee2021 aww hubby and parents must be so excited! And you of course! 🥰🥰

@Honeybunie thank you 😊With my light bleeding I was getting paranoid about when to start. I don’t think it will make much difference in my case so I started today. Expect I’ll go in for a scan end of next week. In a different thread, one do the ladies said she carried on with l-arginine until day before transfer. I’m not sure if I want to as I’ve been having split second dizzy spells the last few weeks and I think it might be the l-arginine as it supposedly decreases your blood pressure. It could be something completely different though. I would like to help my lining but a little bit uncertain. I might change my mind later today. I’ll keep you posted lol x

MinBins · 18/01/2023 11:57

Ah I know @Honeybunie - I agree the pill box storage is such a chore. Are you going away anywhere nice?

Yes fingers crossed no bad signs so far. @seekingbabyk did your vits arrive in the end?

Glad your scan went well @Cat89! It's so reassuring isn't it and I definitely think 12 weeks is too long to wait!

seekingbabyk · 18/01/2023 12:05

@MinBins the COQ10 arrived today and DHEA coming tomorrow thank god! Are you counting down the sleeps to your scan now?x
