@MinBins i hope it goes well!!

Spin101 · 23/12/2022 11:30

@Honeybunie i forgot to mention my doctor said my thin lining is probably due to my low BMI. I’ve put on weight in the last year. Is your thin lining BMI related too?

MinBins · 23/12/2022 15:55

Thanks @Spin101 @Tinkerbell098 all done now it was a lot easiest and better than I had thought it would be.

Now waiting for the doctor and heading home for sleep.

Tinkerbell098 · 23/12/2022 16:39

@MinBins great to hear that it went ok. Hope you aren’t in too much pain. Were you told how many they collected?

i had a very stressful morning at work as it was our last day before the shutdown and we finished at 1 so had a lot to get through. Slept most of the afternoon after that so feeling better now. So so glad I’m done with work for a bit now.

Thank you @Tinkerbell098 - hopefully you can relax now work is out of the way.

I'm in pain, but the process was so much better than what I'd had in my head. Just resting at home while hubby is out with little one getting some food bits. Gives me some time to rest and recuperate.

I have to take a bunch of meds due to the risk of OHSS, and they found fluid on uterus to get rid of that. Also pessaries too. Good job I have their app to update me of what to take and when as I'd be all over the place.

They collected 21 eggs in total, which is great. Now just see what actually becomes of them, fingers crossed we'll have some embryos by the end of it.

seekingbabyk · 23/12/2022 17:08

Glad it all went ok @MinBins - 21 is an amazing number! Are they allowing you to do a transfer then? Usually if they are worried about OHSS they won't let you

MinBins · 23/12/2022 17:22

They haven't confirmed yet @seekingbabyk - they said they'll monitor me over the next few days. But in the meantime I have to take pessaries and tablets.

Really relieved with the number. Im at age 40 now and was fully expecting there to be bad news. However the real test will be whether they are healthy and reach the next stage. Fingers crossed! See how it goes over the next days.

Imisscoffee2021 · 23/12/2022 17:24

21 is fantastic @MinBins ! Hope you get a lovely positive phonecall tomorrow with high fertilisation rates :) x

Honeybunie · 23/12/2022 20:47

@Tinkerbell098 Glad work is done for you and you can relax now yay 😃

@MinBins wow 21 eggs. Very chuffed for you. I cross fingers and toes for you that most of them have fertilised 🤗 hope you don’t get much pain after the EC either.

@Spin101 oh wow is it down to your bmi? Like I said nobody has taken me seriously yet so I’m still to explore what’s going on there. Funny you say that.. my mum just said to me today I need to fatten up so my lining become thinner 🤪 I was like yeah whatever. I’m at the lower end with a bmi of 19-20 but normal range. A nurse said to me before I shouldn’t lose any weight. Didn’t realise it might be that related. I also need to increase my activity levels. I tend to sit all day long and not move much working from home. Need to get the blood pumping to increase blood flow to uterus…
wow 4 frozen ones is ace. I did my first ivf cycle and had two embryos to transfer. Both failed. Will start on my second ivf cycle hopefully in February with EC in March 🤞🤞 and yeah the scan lady in my clinic told me about the viagra option so I’ll defo ask them about it for next time. Why did that doctor laugh at you when you me ruined it?? so crazy that your lining got thinner again after your EC. Hope they’ll get this sorted for you with the right meds next time 🤞🤞

MinBins · 24/12/2022 12:26

Thanks @Honeybunie!

My transfer is booked for Wednesday, but it could be a freeze all. I have some fluid on my uterus and also risk of OHSS. They've put me on additional meds.

Will find out how many make it on Tuesday 🤞🏼

MinBins · 24/12/2022 12:31

Also @Honeybunie hope your trip to Berlin was okay, and that you're having a lovely time with family 💕

Honeybunie · 24/12/2022 14:56

@MinBins Ah so you’re not getting an update on how many have fertilised or a day 3 update in the meantime? Is that because of Christmas? Well I cross my fingers they’re all well and growing nicely🤞🤞😊
yes we’re having a lovely time with my family thank you. Plenty of mulled wine and sausages to be had 😁 and pressies and roast duck this evening yum 🤤
Hope you all have a lovely Christmas with your loved ones 💞💞💝

Merry Christmas you lovely lot!

Thank you for all the advice, encouragement, reassurance and smiles over the past few months.

I got my peak last night so we have just managed to squeeze in a quickie, who knows maybe there’ll be a Christmas miracle!

Have a lovely day everyone 🎄💕🌟

MinBins · 25/12/2022 14:25

Merry Christmas ladies! 🎄I hope you all had a lovely day with your loved ones. May 2023 be the year for us! xx

MammyandAva · 27/12/2022 08:03

Good morning all.

I hope you've had a lovely Christmas!

Just a quick update from me...

So the bleeding completely stopped on Friday. I'm guessing it was the progesterone being low.

Yesterday was my OTD and my tests are still positive 🥳

I have tried every way to get a scan done earlier and I have found a private clinic who will do it in another week but I'm unsure whether to go against the advice of my clinic which is wait until 6 weeks - I just need to know it's there and growing 😞

How are you all?

seekingbabyk · 27/12/2022 09:32

@Decaffe that really made me laugh!!

@MammyandAva that's amazing news! I don't think there's anything wrong with going for an earlier scan. A lot of places do them at 5 weeks and tbh if it eases your stress and anxiety that can only be good x

Tinkerbell098 · 27/12/2022 10:01

Hi ladies. It’s 5dp5dt and I have a second line! Very faint again but it’s there. I was so anxious so wanted to test early to put myself out of misery. Now I’m anxious what happened last time is going to repeat and my hCG wouldn’t rise as it should. My OTD is 3rd and they won’t do bloods until a week after that. Do you think I should order a 48 hour blood test privately?

OP posts:
seekingbabyk · 27/12/2022 10:20

@Tinkerbell098 wow that's such promising news - keeping everything crossed for you.

I think personally I would start with monitoring the darkness of the lines for a few days first just to see that there's progression but if you have that up to OTD then why not. Their blood test seems a while to wait x

MinBins · 27/12/2022 11:34

Hello - that's really great news @Tinkerbell098 and @MammyandAva!

Keeping fingers crossed for you both!

I've been feeling super fatigued and bloated post egg collection. Spent most of the time on the sofa - not sure if there's anything I can do to make the tiredness go away - it feels like I've very low energy levels.

The transfer will be due tomorrow if the scan goes well.

Imisscoffee2021 · 27/12/2022 13:08

Amazing news @Tinkerbell098 and @MammyandAva !!! @Tinkerbell098 I paid for private hcgs three times, it did give me peace of mind but only so far, I still worried if hcg was high enough for that stage etc! Line progression might be good for now til clinics are open, I'm so happy for you that you've got a sticky bean! Xxx

MammyandAva · 27/12/2022 22:51

Thank you all!

I have read online that with a day 5 transfer at the end of the TWW you are around 4/5 weeks pregnant - does anyone know if this is correct?

Also, if so, did the clinic scan you early or 6 weeks post transfer?
